Hi all! Sorry to start a new thread but I'm on dialup atm so finding it hard to post on the old one as it's so long!

Happy New Year Everyone.

Mishi - course we blooming haven't managed to organise a meet without you to kick us all into touch . But how about having a meet up at Granmas at Hunts Cross on the morning of 23rd Jan 2005 (best after 20th as DH get's paid on 20th so better cash flow position!!)

OP posts:

UUUuurrgh! I hate that smell of stale smoke that most smokers don't even notice. DH promised to give up smoking 9 years ago in exchange for me eating properly (I was verging on anorexic and bullemic at the time...but that's another story). Needless to say, I've upheld my end of the bargain but DH often has a few cigarettes, especially when he's working away from home and I can ALWAYS tell. He'd started booking into a smoking room and I had to ask him not to. Everything he brings back with him stinks...his suitcase, soapbag, clothes (worn or unworn), etc. He honestly can't smell it. Apart from the fact that it makes me that he's going back on our deal and risking his own health, it's not fair on our DDs to be exposed to that.
Rant over!

Nemo1977 · 08/02/2006 09:24

jaamy was meaning to ask how did J get on in nursery with knickers??

biglips · 08/02/2006 09:27

good on yer jaamy!!! as i used to smoke years ago and i wasnt really a smoker as i smoked an average 5 - 7 a day (i tried 12 a day once and i nearly threw up!!).. ive stopped 14 yrs ago now!! eek!! and im the worse moaner about smoking and the smell of it!! (yuck). i also noticed when i gave up i could smell others smoke on them where before i was a smoker, i couldnt smell it as the smoke blocked off your sense of smell.

dp's mum nad her turkish hubby smoked them bloody turkish fags (its so vile!!!!) and when she comes round here, i feel wanna vomit!!

jaamy - you got a lovely figure btw esp when your youngest one is only couple months old - you should be grateful of what you've got!

biglips · 09/02/2006 11:03

jaamy · 10/02/2006 08:08

Biglips - can't believe you were posting when you should have been making up for lost time with DP!!! Glad he had a lovely time though with flowers and scrummy irish bread I'll bet you won't be dreading him going awawy as much next time. Thanks for yoour lovely compliment - I've just been relying on BF to lose weight after pg as don't really have time for much exercise and love my cakes and biccies too much! Still have a bit to lose before I can fit back into my old clothes. Don't possess any scales (for obvious reasons) so go by how tight my clothes are.
Still persevering with the potty training, nemo. J still hasn't got the knack of the poo thing but I'm ever hopeful. Is A still doing spectactularly well?
Had a call from work day before yesterday to tell me that I may have to go back into a different job. Very that they are making me address this issue now while I should be enjoying my last few weeks off with A and J.
Have appt this pm with J at heart consultant. She had a murmur identified when she was 3 months old so hopefully this will be her last check up as they were pretty sure the hole had closed at her last appt last year.
Then off to ...wait for it...Chubby Brown show tonight! Yes, I've been dragged in to accompany DH. Bought him 2 tickets for Christmas in the hope he'd bring his DB but I've been roped in instead. Oh well, it's a night out, isn't it?!!
Hope everyone else is ok. Looks like everyone has been enjoying the sunny dry weather. Hope it lasts. Take care all.x

BROWNY · 11/02/2006 10:58

Nemo, feel v.sorry for you having two crying children - God knows how you get yourself ready! If I were you, I'd put them both in the car and go and visit someone! A change of four walls should do you the world of good!. Hope you do go out tonight, you need it.

Biglips, glad dd is o.k., that was quite a stressful time you had yesterday!.

Looking for a single one for hannah to do small walks etc when I can get adam to use his legs..lol Preferably should be able to take a buggy board just in case. I stupidly got rid of my earlier prams and only have my marco sky [double] or chicco xs which is from 6mths!!

biglips · 11/02/2006 13:31

jaamy · 12/02/2006 08:26

Morning all!
Chubby Brown was surprisingly funny! Not my cup of tea, either biglips. Had bought tickets for DH cos I knew he's wanted to go fpr a while. We went for a few drinks afterwards so that was good.
J had a ball at a birthday party yesterday. Took her ages to calm down from the sugar high! A still suffering with this cold that's lasted 2 weeks. Poor little sausage. Still smiling through it all.
Biglips - did DD have a nasty bump? Glad there's not too much of a lump.
Nemo - hope you managed to get out for a good night!
I can do a coffee morning/afternoon too, if you'd like. But you'd have to hurry as I'm back to work in 6 weeks.
Oh, birthdays...
DD1 - 23 Jan
DD2 - 10 Oct
