Hi all!
Thanks for a lovely time on Wed BL et al. Sorry i was the last to arrive and first to leave. DD1 really didn't want to leave. And yes, now i know who to look out for on the night out.
All would be welcome here for a coffee morning though it would mean getting a train in to town and back out again for BL and Browny.
Get well soon all who are suffering and glad you're feeling a bit better FAS.
BTW DD1 has been doing wees in her potty for the last couple of days and managed a poo this morning. I nearly cried i was so proud!

biglips · 04/02/2006 17:12

BROWNY · 05/02/2006 11:53

Jaamy, what a lovely, clever little girl you've got - do you know that when you left Helen's house, my ds2 cried his heart out - he didn't want your dd to go - he had tears running down his cheeks. Have you bought your dd a potty book? They have one in the ELC, it's all about how big girls sit on potties - might encourage her to sit on it a bit longer![wink[.

jaamy · 05/02/2006 15:07

Thanks for the potty book tip, browny. She's off to nursery tomorrow with lots of nice new pretty pants to show them what she can do! What a sweetie your ds2 is. In fact everyone's los that we met on wed are all beautiful and so well behaved. DD1 told her granny that we'd been to see our "new friends". Thanks again everyone, especially BL. Did we really mess up your carpet?

biglips · 05/02/2006 18:38

lol!!! no my carpet is all looking new thanks to my carpet cleaner as it was mostly bread and the crumbs too

i had a nice day today at mums and took baba for a walk today... she is really loving it!!

biglips · 05/02/2006 18:46

yes i was very impressed with the little ones too as all well behaved as i had a cage ready in the back garden for any naughty ones !!!!

BROWNY · 05/02/2006 19:42

Hiya Biglips - glad you had a lovely day!! I've just sent you an e-mail.

We went for a lovely pub lunch in Little Leigh, not that far from Walton Hall Gardens. It was just nice to see some countryside for a change

biglips · 05/02/2006 20:19

browny - i got your email... god i feel sick now cos dp is off boat fishing for a week from tmrw till thurs and got a mock exam tmrw too !!!

BROWNY · 06/02/2006 11:42

Good luck for your exam!!

Cheer up - you're in control of the remote control!!!!

jaamy · 06/02/2006 12:12

BL - good luck for your exam and make the most of your time without dp. DH finally out of my hair and working on site all week. It's nice having him around but also find that I can't quite relax.
Spent the morning at the village hotel where we're having the christening "do". Quite excited about it now!
Am off to do my davina dvd as soon as i can get dd2 off my boob. Hoping i'll have a body like davina's for the christening in 3 weeks time!!!! ha ha!
hope everyone had a good weekend. Lucky you browny with your pub lunch. Keep meaning to try walton hall gardens. We ended up going for a walk at speke hall but the restaurant was closed so no scrummy cakes for us!

BROWNY · 06/02/2006 12:37

Jaamy, - we went to a little pub called, Leigh Arms in Little Leigh, it has absolutely gorgeous food - prices range from reasonable ie.. £5.99 for sunday lunch, only £2.75 for children, up to £20 for a main course - try it if you get a chance.

We didn't order sweet though, as it would have cost a lot more, at £3.50 each (and there's 6 of us), so what did we do?..... we went to Marks & Spencers, in Speke on the way home, bough special ice-cream for the kids and lovely sticky toffee puddings and custard for me and dh!! yummy!!!

biglips · 06/02/2006 12:58

well it went well today and the doorbell rang 10 mins ago and the florist lady delivered the boquet of flowers to me from dp... im so suprised and happy now - wwwwwwwaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiilllllllllllllllllllll

BROWNY · 06/02/2006 13:50

Ahhh, how lovely is your dp to send you those today!!! , lucky girl!!!

Nemo1977 · 06/02/2006 13:57

hello all

JAAMY well done to J and her training hope it continues!! How did she get on at nursery today?

bL hope this week passes quickly for you and that your exam went well.

browny ur meal out`sounds nice must be expensive paying for 6 of you..lol

not a lot going on here. Took kids to park yesterday and ended up spending about 3 hrs there as adam was soo happy feeding ducks and on the swings..lol also walked him right around it so of course he slept well last night and had a nap yesterday afternoon!! Nothing planned for today, I went out and posted a load of ebay parcels this morning so now just 'relaxing' on couch as much as can do with 2 kiddies all over me..lol

jaamy · 06/02/2006 14:02

oh BL you lucky lucky girl! Very . And clever you for the exam.
Might have bumped into you at speke, browny...when we found that speke hall restaurant was closed we went to starbucks in borders. nice coffee and cakes but very ££££!

jaamy · 06/02/2006 14:07

J is in nursery all day so won't know how she's done until i pick her up at 5.30 ish. Hoping that some of Adam's cleverness rubbed off on her last week tho and she's not had too many accidents! Who'd have thought i'd get so excited about toilet functions???lol!
Nemo have you had any more thoughts about your pil's (or was it dps??? can't recall) offer to pay for nursery?

biglips · 06/02/2006 14:08

pls check out the liverpool niteout thread

Nemo1977 · 06/02/2006 14:11

jaamy lol at excited over loo functions dh and i were euphoric when adam did his first poo on potty and then on toilet...lol

re nursery I am going to have a look at a playschool by ours tommorow to see what i think and also if they have places left they did in october but we couldnt afford it. I also checked with the school and because he is a october baby he wouldnt start school nursery until the september before he turns four which seems a long time away considering he is very ready for something now. Its just me who cant let go..lol

biglips · 06/02/2006 14:14

ill have to wait till DD start using the potty as i dont know whats the fuss of excitement about it esp the poo!

jaamy · 06/02/2006 14:17

I know what you mean. I desperately miss J when she is at nursery esp while i'm off on mat leave but she LOVES it and i honestly believe that she has the oppotunity to do so many more activities there than she would do at home. Doesn't adam's school have 2 or 3 intakes during the year? Can't he start thir nursery in jan after he turns 3?

jaamy · 06/02/2006 14:18

Oh BL you will find out exactly what we're talking about...strange but true!!!

Nemo1977 · 06/02/2006 14:19

no they only have one apparently, i thought they had a couple as most schools seem to but apparently he has to be 3 by aug 31st andthey only go down the list after that if they haved places which is extremely rare as its one of better schools in area

jaamy · 06/02/2006 14:29

So will adam be nearly 6 before they let him in to big school then?

biglips · 06/02/2006 14:32

i wonder if this will happen to my DD too as she is an october baba too!!

let me know what happened about that? nemo

jaamy · 06/02/2006 14:35

I'm fairly sure that our school has 3 intakes - sept, jan and after easter. J will have to wait until after easter being a jan baby. You'll just have to ask your school, biglips. Have you got DD's name down for one yet?
