Hi all! Sorry to start a new thread but I'm on dialup atm so finding it hard to post on the old one as it's so long!

Happy New Year Everyone.

Mishi - course we blooming haven't managed to organise a meet without you to kick us all into touch . But how about having a meet up at Granmas at Hunts Cross on the morning of 23rd Jan 2005 (best after 20th as DH get's paid on 20th so better cash flow position!!)

FAS is a very very brave girl!

BROWNY · 02/02/2006 13:41

Thanks Biglips!! Looks like she's going to start a business - she's got enough customers interested!! I can see her on the front page of the Echo - what a story!! Especially after last night's programme!!

biglips · 02/02/2006 13:45

yeah and plus her 15 litres a day too!!!!!

itwas vile last nite show!!!

Nixz · 02/02/2006 13:58

Hello all - thanks for the congrats, yes i am very pleased with myself
I agree, last nights show was strange, i didnt watch all of it but was a little bemused as to why that woman wanted to give that toddler from China breastmilk, tiny amounts from a spoon??? Was it worth it?

But the highlight of the show for me was when that burberry clad guy at the shopping centre shouted 'formula and strong as an ox!!' and then proceeded to tell the camera that he thoght it was a bit dodgy to BF these days, spesh cos of all the paedoPHIDLIA????!!!......PHIDLIA ?

BROWNY · 02/02/2006 14:18

Yeah Nixz, I thought that myself about that man - some people are very narrow minded! I didn't see the point either of the adopted child being breasfed at 18 months old - I think it might have been a bonding thing with the woman. I've got to be careful with what I say on here, I'm fed up getting shot down!!

biglips · 02/02/2006 15:48

nixz & browny - i agree what youre both saying about BF prog as i was gobsmacked about the 18 mths old chinese girl situation!!!! and the woman wasnt right in her head either as she was sobbing that she cannot wait to meet her as she had been waiting for 3 yrs for the adoption process to finalised - weirdo or not????

biglips · 02/02/2006 21:14

BROWNY - you were looking for the surestart area.. one is in speke ... hope that helps?

mazzystar · 02/02/2006 21:45

hi biglips, hopefully seen you tommorrow if my little sprite sleeps and isn;t too grumpy to play out.

have found the reins, they are in my bag. hope l likes them more than o did!

biglips · 02/02/2006 21:47

hiya mazzystar - yea thats fine as hope to see you tmrw too

BROWNY · 03/02/2006 11:20

Biglips, thanks for the link to the surestart site - I'll look at it now.

biglips · 03/02/2006 13:28

mazzy - baba loves them reins as she had a big walk !! from the CAB to south road... she was knackered and kept on shouting to people "OI!" ha ha ha! but she nearly pulled the muscle in ny neck everytime she fell over as shes getting the hang of it!!!

browny - no probs !

fastasleep · 03/02/2006 13:43

I've stopped vomiting I'm the happiest little sleepyhead in the world

I don't think the adopting woman was a weirdo so much as she'd had this dream, waited three years for it to come true, and she's built up totally unrealistic ideas of what it would be like.... who cares about the breastmilk though that little kid looked like it was going to live a very loved life which is really touching

Business my bum! Actually hehe I'll be on the front page of the Echo for breaking the EU laws on which ingredients you can use in toiletries hehehe (nervous giggle!)

biglips · 03/02/2006 14:01

atm im drinking lemsips as feel abit groggy...

biglips · 04/02/2006 09:59

biglips · 04/02/2006 10:15

BROWNY · 04/02/2006 16:16

Biglips - Calderstones is not far from me, we take the kids there on their bikes, everyone feeds the ducks so they're always full-up - maybe I'll take Warburtons next time, poor ds2 wants to feed them![grin[ Hope your cold disappears fast!!

I've just been to Allerton with dd1, we sneaked off as I told dh I needed to go to the bank before it shut.. which was true, then seeing as it was lunch time, we went for a lovely chinese lunch - yum yum, lovely to have some time with dd by ourselves. Came home to find lovely empty house - yay!!!! Kettle and t.v. here I come!!!

biglips · 04/02/2006 16:42
