Anyone else live in or near Exeter? Probably not the brightest question to ask at 3am, but maybe someone will reply during sensible hours

Hello Exeter Mumsnetters. Can any of you recommend any nanny agencies that operate in the area (or any to stay clear of)? Have found Sheila's Nannies but that's all so far. Have also advertised on greatcare, nannyjob and gumtree (nothing yet - yikes!).

Oh dear - not much luck there! Does anyone out there (Exeter region) currently employ a live in nanny. If you do, I'd love to hear from you. PS if anyone knows a more up to date Exeter thread please let me know. I'm feeling a bit lonely here in cyberspace!

Badgermrs, there were more recent threads but they were related to specific meetups. I think people are talking (vaguely and unspecifically) about arranging an evening out sometime in Jan/feb.

we're just waiting for someone to pop up and get everyone else organised....

I can't think of anyone who's using a nanny around here though - sorry you aren't having any luck on that.

Bumping the vague and unspecific meet up thread! If people are interested then stick your names down and Im sure something can be arranged! Dont know anything about nannies unfortunately but wish I did have my own mary poppins type person to hand!

hi fennel, where are you now then? how old are your kids etc?

fennel · 12/01/2007 10:01

I'm just in a village on the outskirts of Exeter now (making vague attempts to not be too specific about exact location), but I come to St Thomas all the time for shopping, swimming etc. I have 3 dds age 6,5 and 2.

lovely. i would love to live in a village again... was brought up in one on outskirts of exeter . but love our house too much to leave it. wish i could pick it up and drop it in the country!!!
dying for a night out sometime soon. though witch at the gym i've just joined told me to cut dowm to one or two glasses of wine. a day? i said, i can do that. she looked at me as if i was bonkers- no a week!!!!! apparently its got 75 cals a glass. beginning to not be too bothered about getting in shape now after all! fgs its the thought of the vino that gets me through the day! but bit sad drinking at home, often alone!!!
