Hi everyone! Well, it's time to think about our January meet-up - are there preferences for the day of the week? Time of day? Location?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAArgh. I am going to get drummed out of the SouthEast London meetups at this rate but DD has woken up today with sore throat and a rotten cold so I'm keeping her off school and therefore won't be able to make Greenwich today. Am gutted. Still, did anyone say I could have a life of my own???

So sorry girls.

Prettyfull · 24/01/2006 08:57

Hi all,

Hope all you ladies and your lo's are ok.

Id love to come to todays meet up, but im going to wait until we arrange somewhere perhaps with a kiddies bit, last time at the tea house was hard work with Leah as she wanted to run about but i didnt feel i could let her. Although the Shepards Pie was delicious!!!

Liz, so sorry to hear about Glen, let me know how he is, is there any more news on him yet??? Phone me if you need any help with Jaz ok!!

Hope hes ok, speak soon xx

tex111 · 24/01/2006 11:38

Hoges, so sorry to hear about your DH! Hope you're all doing better now.

I'll be at the Tea House today about 12.45. It's becoming our regular haunt - went for lunch last week and the whole family went for breakfast on Sunday. Great breakfasts, by the way.

Will definitely try the Toby Carvery. I've heard of them but never been to one. Of course, Tobes will love it since his name will be on the sign!

Hopefully see some of you at the Tea House today. And all the best to those with poorly children. It's so hard when they're ill. If you're anything like us it gets passed around the whole family too.

jenweber630 · 24/01/2006 12:15

Well, it's our turn to have headaches and a poorly child. Mitchell had his MMR jab yesterday and he's really been out of sorts - it didn't help that he had a little runny nose that has turned into a bigger one today. I hope you all had a great time! And we're sending happy thoughts your way Hoges...

Sorry for not coming girlies, after all my squealing about getting out! Was v tired, and had a midwife check-up to get to this afternoon.
Rubbish excuses really.
Hope you had a good time - I'll keep my eyes peeled for the next one.

bran · 24/01/2006 18:09

It was just Tex111 and me in the end, and we had a lovely time. My ds shouted a lot and ate her ds' lunch, while her ds showed mine how a small boy should behave in public (ie not dropping food on the floor or throwing toy cars) and her dd cooed and looked cute.

Paramedics weren't needed in the end KBear, for some reason the hill was really easy today and I wasn't even out of breath (I still had a piece of chococolate cake though).

I hope everyone is recovering from their various ailments, especially Hoges' dh. See everyone soon.

jenweber630 · 24/01/2006 20:57

I'm glad you two had a great time. Ds had a bit of a crazy afternoon nap with lots of whinging BUT went to sleep tonight without nursing his way there for the first time in his life - it only took 13 1/2 months. WOOHOO!

I was thinking we should do a February meet up at the Waterfront Leisure Center again so the kids can play and get nice and tired out - what do you all think?

Prettyfull · 24/01/2006 21:22

Hoges · 24/01/2006 21:46

Hello All. After worrying you all, thought I should just log in to say that dh is ok. Still in hospital, they have found 2 ulcers, one of which was bleeding badly. He's had a blood transfusion and various drugs and is now looking lots better, so panic over. Thanks for all your best wishes and hope to see you all soon.

jenweber630 · 25/01/2006 09:54

I'm so glad Hoges! I hope he gets out of the hospital soon.

Hoges - I'm so glad he's ok, what a fright you must have had.

Jen - great idea about the Waterfront. Brownies anyone? ha ha - I got told off by the staff last time for bringing brownies and we had to eat them secretly!

What date in feb suits everyone (half term is week commencing 13th so avoid it then or it will be heaving)? 20th/21st is good for me.

Hoges · 25/01/2006 12:41

20th/21st sounds great to me. Waterfront is really easy for me too.

Thell · 25/01/2006 14:38

Sounds good, but my EDD is 28th Feb!
Will have to be careful about venturing forth,...

KBear · 25/01/2006 15:20

Prettyfull · 26/01/2006 07:44

Hello kitegirl....its right next to the Woolwich Ferry, and opposite the highstreet.

Heres the address if you need to look it up...

Waterfront Leisure Centre
High Street
Woolwich
London
SE18 6DL

See you all soon!

KBear · 26/01/2006 11:34

So, shall we say Monday or Tuesday then?

I vote Tuesday 21st at 12.30.

rachelmendham · 26/01/2006 14:13

im up for tuesday.

Thell · 26/01/2006 15:01

Well I'll be in the right place for the waterbirth I want!
Are you sure I can't come?!

jenweber630 · 26/01/2006 15:44

Tuesday at 12:30 is fine with me - we can all grab coffees and sit and chat while the kids all play. Mitchell will be excited to play in the ball pit again. (Kbear - I brought a banana bread for Mitchell's swimming class on his birthday awhile back and since we ate it in the cafeteria no one mentioned it... We got lucky.)

OP posts:
Prettyfull · 26/01/2006 16:47

Helo...

Tues 12.30 sounds good to me too, as long as Leah isnt to tired as we go to toddler group first on a tues 10-12. If she sleeps through the night before then that will fit in perfcet!

See you all soon x

kitegirl · 26/01/2006 17:19
