Hi everyone! Well, it's time to think about our January meet-up - are there preferences for the day of the week? Time of day? Location?

Hi all - next Tuesday works for us whatever time - it would be fun to do this again so soon!

KBear · 13/01/2006 19:28

See you all in the Tea Rooms around 12.30 then!

Prettyfull · 13/01/2006 20:54

hi ya all, me and Leah should be coming to this one too! See you there! x

tex111 · 13/01/2006 23:10

Fantastic! I almost have a social life.

So, just to make sure it's all clear:

Tuesday 17 Jan
Tea House at Greenwich Park
12.30
Look for the crazy ladies and gorgeous babies

KBear · 14/01/2006 16:18

dropinthe - are you coming to this one?

KBear · 15/01/2006 15:59

bump

KBear · 16/01/2006 13:29

Oh no Oh no - can't make it AGAIN. The problem with only having two days off a week is that you have to cram in all the crap stuff before work leaving very little time for socialising in Greenwich Park!! See you next time.

beachyhead · 16/01/2006 21:37

you are so baaad kbear......I'll be there tomorrow at 12.30 ish with my dd.

blossom2 · 16/01/2006 21:42

I can make it again too!! i was wondering how i was going to keep myself occuiped tomorrow with DD2. will be there around the same time of 1.15pmish as need to drop DD1 off at nursery ..

looking forward to seeing you all again...

KBear · 16/01/2006 22:03

beachy - it's not me it's the others that complicate my otherwise simple (!) life, ie kids, in-laws, blah blah blah. Next time, I PROMISE.

tex111 · 17/01/2006 10:13

I'll be there with DS and DD. Will get there about 12.45, picking up DS from nursery at 12.30. Looking forward to it!

jenweber630 · 17/01/2006 10:56

Kbear - I'm bummed you won't be there! Next time eh? Mitchell and I will be there around 12:30 - it's nearly 11 and we've got to get some errands done first...

beachyhead · 17/01/2006 12:09

Can't make it, so sorry to be so last minute, but have a killer headache.

jenweber630 · 17/01/2006 15:56

What happened to you all?? It was just Hoges and me (and her friend who was visiting). We had a great time and our babies had a nice time flirting with each other. Though - I hope more of you will be able to make it next time!

So sorry I missed it! I spent the afternoon with the RAC man. After I picked up Tobes from school I stopped in the village to get some cash for lunch and when I got back in the car the engine started shuddering like crazy. They had to replace a coil or something in the engine. I was so close and really gutted to miss the meet up. Will definitely try again next time.

blossom2 · 17/01/2006 17:53

So sorry that i couldnt make it either. DH has been off sick and spent afternoon getting drugs for him whilst he stayed in bed reading his book i'm glad you had a good time though. will definitely make it next week ?!?!

Beachyhead - do you remember the lilac tank-top that my DD2 was wearing at the last meet up?? you commented that you liked it. well she's grown out of it and i wondered if you would like it along with a pair of purple cords (flower detail on legs). i'm more than happy to send or give at the next meet up.

beachyhead · 18/01/2006 10:32

Sorry, my whole house is sick, sick, sick.....I thought I was coming down with it yesterday, but I haven't succumbed yet. DH is home from work, DS is home from school and baby is coughing away. Blossom2 - thanks so much for the offer and I do love that tanktop, but with Georgie weighing in at over 16 lbs already, I fear she might have grown out of it too......I think your dd is a bit more delicate than mine ... Hope we can meet up soon everyone....

jenweber630 · 19/01/2006 10:56

Well - should we try again for next week or should we just go for a time in February?

OP posts:
KBear · 19/01/2006 11:24

I don't have the car next week Jen so I can't rely on getting back from Greenwich in time for school pickup so I'll have to give it a miss. booo

tex111 · 19/01/2006 16:54

I'd be up for it.

Thell · 19/01/2006 17:01

Ooooh!
Hello!
I'm 34 weeks pregnant, living temporarily with my in-laws and not working...can I come out to play?
Saw this thread a week or so ago, but didn't realise you met up so often.

KBear · 19/01/2006 17:26

Hi Thell, used to be about once a month or so but everyone seems keen to get out of the house over the past few weeks! I haven't made it yet, things keep cropping up! I might try to come next week if it's a day I'm not at work - I'll ask my mum to collect DD in case I'm not back in time.

Jen.... what's the plan?

rachelmendham · 20/01/2006 09:10

hi, sorry not been here b4. ive got 7 month old son, just wondering if any of you know of any good family pubs/restaurants in the local area that is good for children. got friends down weekend who has 4 yr old. does any1 know of anywhere? maybe somewhere to eat, with kids indoor play area? im based in woolwich so somewhere close like se3/se9/se10/se13/se18. help xx

jenweber630 · 20/01/2006 11:07

Alright - well, let's go for next week again - Tuesday, 12:30, tea house in Greenwich park.

Rachel - I don't know of any indoor play areas - the Brewer's Fayre in Sidcup may have that... For kid friendly pubs, the old post office pub in Eltham has a non-smoking section and you can bring kids there until 6pm Th-Sun and 7pm Mon-Wed. There is also the Toby Carvery in Bexleyheath - all you can eat for 6.99 I think? The Trafalgar tavern in Greenwich is great as well. I hope you find something good!

There's a new pub called the Princess Alexandria - I haven't been but my parents went to dinner there over Christmas. All I know is that it's along the spine road on the way to Thamesmead near the prison (nice!) - I guess it's in the phone book. Nice food apparently and completely no smoking but don't know about kids area.
