Meet-ups

When meeting up take sensible precautions. Meet in a public place and let others know where you are going.

In Reverance to QueenVic who needs some cheering up!

I thought last night that it would be nice for us to meet up again soon, a lunch time ish meet with the kids (less organisation required that way!), or if you are lucky enough to be kid free for the day come along anyway! Maybe to see some of the lovely xmas lights around central London. Maybe if JL does have an ad hoc santa to see him too! I went to one of the Giraffe cafe/bars a few weeks ago, which I thought might be a good place to go? Not crowded, not overpowering music, smoke free for the kis, good reasonably priced food and very child friendly. Am open to oher ideas though!

So does anyone have any dates they can/can't do? I really enjoyed our meet up at the weekend and QueenVic is having a bit of a hard time of it at the moment and needs some cheering. Hopefully we will be able to help out and all have a good giggle at the same time.

OnTheFlossDayOfChristmas · 04/12/2005 19:35

Anyone else? Anyone changed their minds? Is next Monday still ok for everyone else? Thought I might have missed soemething, have been v busy house hunting!

SnowQueenVictoria · 04/12/2005 21:38

still ok for me.

novabrandybutterpowder · 05/12/2005 12:46

still good for me too

AwayInAMunker · 05/12/2005 20:26

DH has 12th off work now as has more holiday than he'd thought... I told him that I had been planning to take DS into town to meet MNers and he said it'd be much easier if I came by myself and he had DS - but that there did seem to be rather a lot of these leaving DS with him and going out with adults and who exactly did I think I was (going out for dinner with girls on Friday too).

Taken aback for a moment, till he pointed out he was trying to guilt-trip me into buying him a Chinese He's a man of simple pleasures (thank goodness!). He's really looking forward to having DS on Monday (tonight he's been teaching him to do comedy fake sneezes so goodness knows what I'll come home to on Monday - lol!).

Not sure Essbee - when and where shall we meet, Floss? Haven't been to Covent Garden lately!

SnowQueenVictoria · 05/12/2005 22:36

10.30am - 11ish is fine with me.

OnTheFlossDayOfChristmas · 05/12/2005 22:37

Don't mind? Can you do early? I can do it, find it challenging I must admit, but mainly because my little DS who will be with me (is that still ok?) might refuse to sleep outside of the house.... One grumpy baby! He's lovely most of the time I promise! Would rather just take the plunge and get there in good time tbh. Don't get to central London too often anymore so mights as well make the most of it. QV and everyone, what times can you do?

SnowQueenVictoria · 05/12/2005 22:38

How old is your DS floss?

OnTheFlossDayOfChristmas · 05/12/2005 22:39

erm cross posted sorry! Shall we aim for around then then? Hunker that ok for you? If its a bit too early for anyone then perhaps they could join us a little later on? Or bad idea? I'm no good at organising anything! Like, where are we going to go?!!

AwayInAMunker · 05/12/2005 22:39

I can get there whenever - and looking forward to seeing any children that people bring! I'll bring a photo of DS, maybe - easier to get up escalators on the tube
