Sorry - Mumofmonsters is my friend from online... we've never met She lives in Manchester...

Merlin · 25/11/2005 18:07

Hi all - Bunglie sorry didn't realise you were in a wheelchair so have checked restaurant for access cos I remembered sitting upstairs before when I went there, but they can put us on the ground floor so that's great.

I've booked the table for 8pm - hope that's OK with everyone - if you want it a little later please let me know asap cos they are very busy!

I've also paid £2 per head deposit.

See you all on the 7th!!!!

Oooh how exciting!!!! I saw a pretty top the other day (the dress I had my eye on made me look like I was wearing a tent - stupid sticky out bum!!!), so I may be forced to go buy that...

Bunglie · 27/11/2005 17:20

Thank you Merlin.
Great to see you yesterday Delgirl, I am just sorry that we could not 'talk' as it was a bit noisy and I could not hear a thing!! I am not really a 'party animal' so I expect a bit of decorum at the Bournmouth meet-up so I can say hello to Delgirl (and everyone else!) properly as I feel that I neglected you yesterday and for that I am sorry.
I am looking forward to it though......so I might have to be weened off these meet-ups if they become adictive!

Merlin · 27/11/2005 17:21

no probs Bunglie.

Decorum is not a word I would normally associate with the Bournemouth meetups but there's always a first time!

Merlin · 28/11/2005 16:15

oooh - something a bit glam for the do?

OP posts:
flamesparrow · 28/11/2005 16:20

Something not fuzzy and split endy - Not been cut since May , and is looking very very sad....

flamesparrow · 29/11/2005 18:43

Right... after reading quite a few "how rude is this" type dinner ettiquette threads, I'm askin in advance so I don't get all flustered on the night

What is the deal with paying the bill... do we split equally all ways, or pay for what we eat... same for drinks.

Not bothered either way, but I know that if I don't find out in advance I'll give myself panic attacks worrying about doing the wrong thing

flamesparrow · 29/11/2005 18:44

Do I now sound insane and paranoid???

Merlin · 29/11/2005 18:54

hi flame - personally I think the bill should be split equally, unless anyone has had a significantly smaller meal or no wine for instance while everyone else has been knocking it back!

OP posts:
BunnyHem · 29/11/2005 19:30

but merlin, there are some pregnant women attending and you and I will both drink copious amounts of vino I expect, we could do a seperate drinks bill instead - that way, we wont feel guilty for teetotallers contributing to our large bill.

Ive lots track - are we going to corianders now?

DelGirl · 29/11/2005 20:27

and I usually eat more

BunnyHem · 29/11/2005 20:56

lol DG . I dont mind how the bill is split and hate all that poncing around ath the end of a meal with "i didnt have a coffee" etc but I do think if there is a hugely different amount of food/wine consumed by differnet people then perhaps us greedy ones/drunks should pay a bit more

Frostythesurfmum · 29/11/2005 21:00

"Us drunks". Speak for yourself .

DelGirl · 29/11/2005 21:05

well perhaps greedy is the wrong word. What I really meant was i'm a fillet steak kind of person, not a pizza iykwim

Merlin · 29/11/2005 21:17

Yes it's Coriander - 8pm.

OP posts:
catj · 29/11/2005 21:26

I'm quite happy to split the food bill equally but on a purely selfish note I agree about the drinks as I won't be indulging on this occasion!
Just out of interest what is everyone wearing? Is it going to be smart casual or quite glam? Being even more heifer-like than usual my wardrobe is very limited (not according to dh ).

Frostythesurfmum · 29/11/2005 21:39

Any chance of a lift pretty please Catj? Sparkler's at Canford Heath and we normally go together, so I'm sure she'd like one too.

I'll be smart cas - not sure I do glam these days!

Merlin · 29/11/2005 21:41

evening Surfer - see any more of those hunky rugby types at the weekend

I shall be mostly wearing something smart cas too - perhaps with a bit of a sparkle cos it is Xmas!!!!

OP posts:
catj · 29/11/2005 21:43

Of course.Do you want to CAT me with your address? The only thing I will say is that chjlly (I've got to take her too!) & I won't be staying out late but you are more than welcome to have a lift there if it helps.

Frostythesurfmum · 29/11/2005 21:45

Evening Merlin! Sadly no rugby players, but Santa was really cool. Dsd said she wanted CDs and he said "which one, the Black Eye Peas?". DD's eyes were like saucers when she saw him and when he asked her what she wanted she said "presents".

Frostythesurfmum · 29/11/2005 21:46

That would be great thanks Catj. I'll CAT you now.
