Thandeka · 17/09/2011 18:06

Am back from meet-

How luvverly you all are and sorry I didn't get chance to chat to everyone properly. Will just have to do it all again for custardo!

Now bathing a 19month old covered from head to toe in homemade pizza she made with her dad. The joys. (would rather still be in pub!)

TandB · 17/09/2011 18:26

I was greeted by a 2 year-old who decided to show how much he had missed me by screaming 'noooooooo! Daddy do it!', then pinching me hard on the neck and bashing me in the face.

Cue a lengthy innings on the naughty step accompanied by screams of 'not sorry!'

Might go back to the pub......

ThePosieParker · 17/09/2011 18:47

Just left, fabulous time. Thank you one and all!

flatbellyfella · 17/09/2011 18:54

A big thank you to all the mumsnet ladies that made me welcome to join in your friendly meet up at the Cork Vaults this afternoon.I may have looked a little bleary eyed,I don't normally drink but had 2 pints of blackthorn downstairs waiting for you girls to apear ,plus I have been at work in the hospital since 5-30am today. As some of you know I have been at rock bottom for a while after a painful divorce. I left you all with a little tear in my eye, knowing there are nice friendly people out there, good luck to you all & best wishes to custard0.
Thank you.:-)

AddictedtoCrunchies · 17/09/2011 19:04

It was our pleasure. Thank you for coming - we all think you were very brave to turn up. See you at the Christmas do!

totalled my car on the m27 hitting central reservation and spinning across all lanes to the hard sholder and crshing into that barrier. punched in the face by an air bag.

however about 3 cars stopped and 5-8 people helped me, sked if i was ok, stayed with me, phoned police and ambulance, offered me water etc. give me a mobile phone to use. talked to me.

people are fab, really really fab. i decided i like people.

Jeez, Custy, you don't do things by halves. But I do agree random moments of kindness from strangers is brilliant. I am so glad that people were kind enough to help you. Are you still in hospital or are you home now?

Sounds like everyone had/is still having a fab time at the meet, thanks for the updates folks.

LadyFlumpalot · 17/09/2011 19:42

Am home now, had a lovely time meeting you all! I was really nervous about meeting you all. Jeez Custy, sounds scary. Glad you are ok though. Next time I am booking a room and getting pissed! Thanks guys!

Looking forward to the next one!

St1ggy · 17/09/2011 23:21

Back home too, was great to meet you all thanks for a lovely time. We must do another one soon.

Glad to hear you're ok Custy. I've had a very similar m/way accident and it's proper scary that spinning across lanes and hitting barriers. Look after yourself.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 18/09/2011 08:38

Well after running scared from Rhubarb and Becky while they hollered across the street at some pirates, I went up to the platform to see it rammed with drunken pirates, singing rugby fans and vomiting teenagers (nice).

Train was full of said categories so I decided to use my new found Mumsnet confidence and travel in first class. The very nice guard checked my ticket and didn't say a word. Think he felt sorry for me.

Finally rolled into bed around 11. Thanks to everyone - I had a great time.

From me asking that chap to turn round (so that Rhubarb could look at his face) and nearly landing on his lap to sitting on the sofa with Fivegomad watching Rhubarb and Becky throwing pieces of screwed up napkin with their phone numbers on at those poor men. Add Jenai forcing cider down my neck inbetween and it was a right good larf.

PS. I still maintain the barman with the beard was cute. A vair nice boy.

Thandeka · 18/09/2011 09:53

Sobs at missing the pirates (although the dadsnet rugby team were nice interlude). Can we do next one after Jan so I can get proper tiddly too? Raspberry lemonade wasn't cutting it at all as a substitute yday. (not an alky though- ahem!)

SanctiMoanyArse · 18/09/2011 10:17

Hi (its Peachy, my Peachy name being rested for a bit)

Sorry ahd to run so early, tends to eb the case in September. I ahd a fab time though- will now admit I ahven't been out without DH or for a big occasion since 2007 [shocker[ so was nervoud but really enjoyed meeting people and would lvoe to be able to stay longer next time.

Pirates interesting, dasnet were yum though.

And pfffft to green moghians; just becuase my hair isn;t pink now, well- lets' say theyw ere some very interesting 'my mum' drawings brought home by the DS's that prompted that Wink. DH is convinced everyone expected me to turn up in baggy asda elastic waisted yjeans and a CND t shirt so sorry to disappoint Grin
