Rain or no rain I'm wearing sandally things and a dress!

LadyFlumpalot · 15/09/2011 22:00

Oh christ on a tricycle - is there a dress code? Is jeans and a nice top ok? I'm going to end up either completely overdressed or looking like the chav queen of Chav Town (and yes, I do live in Gillingham Chav Town!)

Peachy · 15/09/2011 22:26

Oh come on gillingham? love, I'm (originally) from the Bridgwater estates!

you feel better now right? Wink

Thandeka · 16/09/2011 07:46

Am about to dash out so no time to trawl through thread but is it tonight or tomorrow? What time? At cork vaults right? Anyone wanna befriend a scardey cat preggers woman in a purple dress? Am wussing out!

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 16/09/2011 09:38

Thandeka - Cork Vaults, tomorrow, from 2pm.

Will PM you :)

TheRhubarb · 16/09/2011 10:02

I can beat you all, I'm from Oldham!

Thandeka, get your pregnant arse to the Cork Vaults tomorrow!

flatbellyfella · 16/09/2011 11:05

Promise I won't cause controversy if I am brave enough to show up after work.

TheRhubarb · 16/09/2011 11:15

Be brave!

flatbellyfella · 16/09/2011 11:29

As for being fit, I don't need a walking stick , zimmer frame or wheel chair yet.

TandB · 16/09/2011 12:01

Thandeka - I will befriend a pregnant woman in a purple dress if you will be friends with a pregnant woman in a blue dress!

TheRhubarb · 16/09/2011 12:23

I'll be friends with everyone!
(apart from that Custy)
Even the strange man who would dare to enter a room full of drunken women Grin
Top marks for you if you do flatbelly. I'll put some wagers on it.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 16/09/2011 12:24

Thandeka meet at the station at 2. Me and Jenai will be there. I am vair tall and will be wearing jeans plus black jacket with flower type thing on lapel. New Look's finest.

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 16/09/2011 12:37

I have taken a photograph of the dress I'll be wearing, to help Crunnchies (and indeed anyone else) identify me.

ThePosieParker · 16/09/2011 12:47

Is a dress over dressed? I'm wearing the only nice thing a purpley dress with cardigan to cover fat arms in case it's cold!!

TheRhubarb · 16/09/2011 12:53

I'll be the red long tall one with large dark green leaves. I need to be sugared up or else I'm quite foul.

oldsilver · 16/09/2011 13:06

I too shall be in purple paisley patterned.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 16/09/2011 15:05

F-in hell Jenai I thought you were serious for a nano-second!!

I'm sticking to jeans and a posh top. I wore a dress out last week in Bath and felt v uncomfortable all night (besides which it was too short and I spent the evening in All Bar One trying not to show my pants).

Am having my nails done for the occasion so will expect admiration as I NEVER have my nails done. You lot are honoured.

TandB · 16/09/2011 15:47

I may do the 2pm at the station meet-up as well - if I'm not there don't wait for me though. It will just mean I am late and will go straight there.

I am of average height with a pregnant stomach that isn't that obvious in the dress I am wearing which is blue. I have brown hair and always wear my sunglasses on my head as it is the only thing that stops me being permanently wind-swept. Depending on the weather I will either be wearing grey boots or leggings and shoes, and maybe a long grey hooded cardigan.

[does a twirl and concludes report about what the discerning panda is wearing this autumn]

Peachy · 16/09/2011 15:54

I may do black with purle shoes, or a lipstick print shitrt. Either way you can tell me by my hair (same cut as Mary Portas though not so amber! and purple coat. The days of too short frocks are over sadly (used to be a spaialty) though I seem to have acquired satin gloves and fishnets for carny- eeeek!

And remember that Rhubs has toxic leaves so no nibbling.

SheWhoMustNotBeFlamed · 16/09/2011 16:16

Have a good time, Ladies. Will watch the news with interest ...

RebeccaMumsnet · 16/09/2011 16:17

Well I was hoping that my eBay scarf would have arrived by now, fingers crossed for tomorrow (at least 3 other MNHQers have had theirs already).

Otherwise... I have no idea what I will be wearing but will look out for the Greggs bags and fruitshoots Wine and I am sure I can't go wrong Confused

ThePosieParker · 16/09/2011 17:28

Oldsilver......not phase eight? [trembles]

I am 5'1"......and very blonde.

St1ggy · 16/09/2011 17:54

I can assure you Posie that Olds won't be in a phase eight dress! You're ok.

I'll recognise you either way as we've met before, but I had a different name then Grin I always was in awe admired your stunning red lipstick!

ThePosieParker · 16/09/2011 18:06

I hope I'm not as lardy now.....the excuse of having my fourth is getting a bit tired now he's nearly three.Grin

MrsFlittersnoop · 16/09/2011 18:27

I was planning on wearing my PURPLE PAISLEY PHASE 8 lardy-tum-concealer tunic!! Shock Shock Shock

Will I be violating the Mumsnet S&B regs?
