Have you made friends with any mumsnetter?

I wondered if anyone (besides me!) had made some friends .... i.e. e-mailing regularely (as maybe you are too far to meet face to face), sending piccies and stuff to each other.... via Mumsnet.
I can confess to having made 1 good friend and having contacts with another 4 on a fairly regular basis.... I won't say who they are unless they want too of course !

Am I alone ?

West Heath is great for the kids, there are swings etc and birds and animals as well as nice walks in the woods feeding ducks at the duck pond. There are lots of pine cones to collect.

Other than that there is a big park in Cricklewood called Gladstone park with playground and duck pond. Also Roundwood Park in Harlesden has play apparatus.

I can advise on pubs etc better than kids stuff

So we're all saying that there are people that we feel 'friends' with, but are too scared to email, in case we get rejected. Why don't we all be brave...who knows, we might make a friend for life. (Either that, or end up with a Hell's Angel stalker )

I contacted a fellow MNer by e-mail and we are now in regular contact over the e-mail - we are probably about a 2 - 3 hours drive from one another here in Germany, so getting together is a bit difficult, but I hope to manage it when ds is a bit older. It is really great as we are both english speaking foreigners and her dd is a little older than my ds, so she is a great source of info too.

Maomao, hiya, sorry moved last year from Pinner to the south coast! My job moved from Heathrow to Southampton. I have a little girl, Sasha who is now 6 weeks old. How about yourself ?

Bossanova, I'm halfway between the two too, at Lee-on-the-Solent. Do you know it ? Where abouts are you ?
How little are your little ones ?

(Sorry for the delay in response - not able to get on every day these days!!)

I have only just started to log on on a regular basis to mumnetters, and am hoping to meet some other west london mums in the near future, (see ealing thread if you live in the area) so am keeping my fingers crossed that i will make some local friends for myself and of course my dd!

Have a good weekend all.
