Have you made friends with any mumsnetter?

I wondered if anyone (besides me!) had made some friends .... i.e. e-mailing regularely (as maybe you are too far to meet face to face), sending piccies and stuff to each other.... via Mumsnet.
I can confess to having made 1 good friend and having contacts with another 4 on a fairly regular basis.... I won't say who they are unless they want too of course !

Am I alone ?

Isn't suedonim chairmum? I'm sure I remember her changing her name.

Tinker · 29/09/2003 19:42

Chairmum is now suedonim.

Wasn't going to post on here, worried it looked like a popularity contest, ie 'I'm not' Email a few people but there are lots more I wish lived on my Mumsnet Street.

I am s wilts - so Cc way is at least 2 hours away.

Chinchilla · 29/09/2003 19:47

I know what you mean Tinker...doing this does make you feel like you might appear to be a 'Billy No Mates' doesn't it! There are a few people who I would love to get to know in 'real life' as opposed to just on here, but I always worry that they wouldn't feel the same, or that I'm boring or something. School is a long way behind me, but the insecurities are still there.

Beetroot if you do a search and type "chairmum" under search for... and then type suedonim under author nickname - you will get confirmation... anyway I've just emailed you to tell you as I thought I would NOT say here who chairmum was in case she wanted to remain discreet.... others have changed their nicknames in the past and didn't want their old nicknames to be remembered ! They changed to increase their annonymity.

I started posting on here when I was 33 and am closer to 37 now. I did feel a bit ignored at first, so I skulked off for a while, but returned about 6 months later and now can't keep off (as you have probably noticed).

lou33 · 29/09/2003 19:51

Chinchilla you know me! Aren't I good enough then?
