Have you made friends with any mumsnetter?

I wondered if anyone (besides me!) had made some friends .... i.e. e-mailing regularely (as maybe you are too far to meet face to face), sending piccies and stuff to each other.... via Mumsnet.
I can confess to having made 1 good friend and having contacts with another 4 on a fairly regular basis.... I won't say who they are unless they want too of course !

Am I alone ?

They think im wierd too, i get all embarassed and try to explain how good it is. Ive just stopped telling people, they just take the p**s, and think im really after cybersex or something! I did tell my sister and she is currently trying to work out who i am, !

Perhaps I should have stayed in NW London, seems to be more of you guys up there! Does anyone live in the Portsmouth/Southampton area?

Having said that, for most of the time I've been on mumsnet, life has been a little chaotic! (all of 2 months max!)

I must admit that my heart leapt when I saw "NW London," and then dropped when I'd realised you'd moved. Where in NW London were you? Do you have a dear darling child, and if so, what age?

I have made some email friends and I have only been on here a few months. I am always taken back how kind and thoughtful (and brutally honest sometimes) people are on mumsnet. I think I would be quite embarrassed to go to a meet up, I am not that out going really

Is it me or does everyone else 'say' things on mumsnet that they would never dream of saying in real life?

I'm in Hampstead. It's lovely, but, in terms of rent, we're living beyond our means and have to cut back in other ways. We'll have to find another flat come February (sigh)....
