Have you made friends with any mumsnetter?

I wondered if anyone (besides me!) had made some friends .... i.e. e-mailing regularely (as maybe you are too far to meet face to face), sending piccies and stuff to each other.... via Mumsnet.
I can confess to having made 1 good friend and having contacts with another 4 on a fairly regular basis.... I won't say who they are unless they want too of course !

Am I alone ?

I've only been on here for a few months and I've made a really good friend in Janhr, and meet up with CNR & Wedgiesmum, on a once a month basis. I've just met with Lubu last week and hoping to meet up again, I really like mumsnet and all the ladies are in the same boat, MUMS

Will let you know Chinchilla. Ds is a lot happier atm, hoorah. Had a good physio session in London today with a new pt, and he got on with her really well. Fingers crossed he still likes her tomorrow!

Ha, now I know why my ears were burning yesterday evening!

ThomCat · 30/09/2003 10:31

I would say that there are a handful of people I feel particularly friendly with. Some people I think sound great from their posts but I've just never been able to strike up a conversation, as yet, with them. Lou33 will always be a very special as she was the first person on Mumsnet I really clicked with and we email each other a lot, but there are a lot of others I feel very friendly with now.

layla · 30/09/2003 12:13

Blimey Tinker hope it wasn't me who chased you off way back.I did swear on the odd occasion but was bit young way back when I started and have calmed right down. There's many I think I'd like to get in touch with but am a bit shy.I still think this is a good way to meet new friends but haven't so far although did organise one meet up which was fun.

layla · 30/09/2003 12:16

Tinker e mail me if you like and tell me what your name used to be,it wasn't JBR was it
Joke

M2T · 30/09/2003 13:19

I have made some great pals. I email 4 of you regularly (not so regularly with the wedding creeping up).

I have even invited one of the Mumsnetters to my wedding!

Never met up with anyone though. Most of the meetups are too far away.

Cam · 30/09/2003 13:19

I know what it was.

Janstar · 30/09/2003 13:44

Maomao, I asked cos I used to live in Willesden and before that, Cricklewood. I go to meet my friends in Hampstead sometimes, hence that nice Greek meal last week. Have you eaten in that place?

codswallop · 30/09/2003 13:45

ahem - yes m2t

lou33 · 30/09/2003 15:59

Thomcat .

maomao · 30/09/2003 16:12

Janstar,

No I've not eaten there, but have been eyeing it as I walk along Heath Street. It's not far from our flat. I've only gone so far as to look at the menu in the window!

Ahhh so if you tromp about here, you must know of some good playgrounds for the under 1 set? What other secrets have you been keeping from me???
