Manchester Mumsnetters?!

Juno and I are moving to Manchester in about 5 weeks time (from London!). We're both from Manchester originally, but have both been in London for 12 years +. We'll be staying in Stockport for a few months and then hoping to buy somewhere in the South Manchester/Stockport area.

Just wondered if there are any Mumsnetters around the place 'up North' for meet ups?!

Hi I am new to Manchester. I have a 2 year old DD and am expecting #2 for June. I haven't met many mums in the area, and I was wondering if you are still meeting on the 12th... if so, can I crash in?

Hi everyone and happy new year, hope you all had a great time!
Really good to see that there are a few of us up for a meetup and I can make next Wednesday 12th at Tiggis, should be a really good night.

I will book the table, but firstly will you all cat me as soon as possible if you can definitely make it, that way it makes it easier for me to organise and I can get it booked straight away also we can then exchange mobile numbers so we can text when we get there so nobody is on their own!

Afraid I can't do it either. Well probably could but think I'd prefer to come when I get as drunk as a lord. Have a fab time this time though and hope to meet/remeet you all soon.

It looks like this Wednesday isn't happening!!
TBH I was more than happy to arrange this and book the table etc but I still haven't had any definite confirmations from anyone and I think it is too late in the day now. Anyway you never know we might arrange a Northern meet again in the future only this time I will leave it up to someone else to arrange!!

CharlieO1 - I have a feeling you met my partner (Juno on Mumsnet)in real life last week?!! She feels really bad she went into the place without you...I hope you had a good time though - I think she's going tomorrow.

Lucycat - hello! Yes, we're in Heaton Chapel - would love to meet up - my e-mail address is:
lakinson.house@ntlworld(dot)com. Maybe get in touch if you fancy meeting up with dp - she's at home full time with our two, who are 3 and 9 months old. She goes to a few groups but we still feel a bit isolated and dp doesn't drive so it can be hard meeting up with lots of people.
