Media request: has your political allegiance shifted to Reform?

RhiannonEMumsnet · 05/01/2026 13:39

Hi there,

We've received the following media request.

Thanks,
MNHQ

I'd like to speak to women from Mumsnet whose political allegiances have changed to Reform in recent times. Ideally they would be willing to be named and pictured (in a piece for the Telegraph). Please contact [email protected] if you are interested.

Oh look. Just as we were getting into an actual debate about why Reform are suspect and might not be trustworthy as a serious prospect for a ruling party in the Commons, we got detailed into something else, so now we’re all looking in another direction. If it’s not deliberate then it’s a fabulous metaphor for how Reform have got into the position they have.

Aprilfountain · 06/01/2026 15:07

Yes, yes yes!! It's the obvious choice 🤷

LavenderBlue19 · 06/01/2026 15:10

Absolutely fucking not, and I am suspicious of how many Reform threads and posters there are on here. I'll probably vote Lib Dem next time, same as usual. We desperately need to re-join the EU - a problem caused by Farage, the massive gurning twat that he is.

Aside from all the racism and anti-women rhetoric, there's also the small matter of Reform's very cosy relationship with Russia, which is a matter of national security.

Piggywaspushed · 06/01/2026 15:11

You continue to suggest that he changed his name for nefarious purposes. That's what anyone reading your initial post , who didn't know, would infer. I wanted to set the record straight. You have now brought in stuff irrelevant to his name change.

The only people we should distrust on a name change are those who do it to conceal criminal or fraudulent activity. Not those who do it to restore to daylight and celebrate a lost identity and heritage.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 06/01/2026 15:12

God this thread is like walking into a garden full of flowers.

So many horrible threads supporting that knob Farage. It makes me wonder where l am.

Keep it up ladies, you’ve made one old bird much happier.

ilovesooty · 06/01/2026 15:14

I can't understand why MNHQ are entertaining this.

Shedmistress · 06/01/2026 15:14

I'd prefer MN to provide details of this mystery poll.

KateShugakIsALegend · 06/01/2026 15:15

Hell will freeze over first

Yeah me too.

Ive never been in one. Been here since 2006.

PluckyChancer · 06/01/2026 15:18

Not a chance in hell. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
At least the Monster Raving Looney Party doesn’t pretend to be a serious party.

I'd prefer MN to provide details of this mystery poll.

Me also.

I spend far too much time on here and I never saw a poll.

I think it was done by AI going through posts back to 2009. Not an actual poll.

Ive never seen a poll.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 06/01/2026 15:29

So the Times lied l guess. no response from MN ofc.

If this thread in itself is a poll Reform are going home in a fucking ambulance.

“I’m not going to argue”

No of course you’re not and nor should you. You should be embarrassed to resort to such cheap tactics.

Jewish or not Zack/David has a long history of political activism which should be considered when we are considering who to vote for, not to mention his hypnotherapy practice where he claimed to be able to enlarge women’s breasts 🤨. Knowing people’s names and full background is step one of choosing who to vote for to be your leader. Do you suggest he should get a pass from that? Ridiculous.

Presumably you equally object to women changing their name when they marry? Or perhaps you’re equally vehement about them not doing so? It’s equally ridiculous.

letshavetea · 06/01/2026 15:54

Absolutley not. What an outrageous suggestion.

I agree with this. Any Farage/Reform threads are always full of dozens of posts by dozens of different posters who do not support or condone them. Then there are a couple of posters who relentlessly bang away with pro Farage/Reform posts often under the guise of 'I'm not pro Farage/Reform, in fact I'm a Conservative but I just want fairness and balance". They are very intimidating towards other posters, often very personal (e.g. "You sound deranged/mental") or accuse posters of lying as though they are trying to silence people. The recent Epstein/Farage thread is a good example of this.

Add to this the constant daily BOT/AI three word user provocative anti woman/anti feminist threads and it all adds up to a concerted effort to undermine, sow doubt and division.

It's so bloody transparent it makes me want to give up on MN daily. This thread is a ray of light.

Movistar · 06/01/2026 15:56

Never.

BillieWiper · 06/01/2026 11:01

I'd rather kill myself than vote Reform.

Good grief. You sound incredibly mature like much of the left

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 06/01/2026 16:00

All under the guise of free speech or it’s not an ‘echo chamber’

SorenLorensonsInvisibleFriend · 06/01/2026 16:03

No.

🤣There’s always one. Go on some nasty Refirm support thread.

Port1aCastis · 06/01/2026 16:04

Absolutely Not. I think there are far too many reform threads on Mn and a bot or their PR people are posting them. I'll probably vote Lib Dem when the time comes

Nevermind17 · 05/01/2026 17:56

I’d display my bare arse on your front page before I’d consider ever voting Reform.

Yeah they are welcome to a photo of my backside too.

Absolutely no way would I ever vote for that traitorous shower who are itching to sell our country to their rich pals - or should that read rich masters?

Nasty, dangerous bunch.
