Morning all!

Here's the SoF once again

Hope that the scales are kind to you this morning.

So we enter the last three weeks. Still time to lose some significant weight. But only if you follow the rules!

It's a difficult time of the year, as Christmas goodies start to appear in the shops, and - I'm guessing - at work and at home as well!

You might find it easier to stay focused if you move back onto Bootcamp for the last two weeks, so you're really making sure that the carby stuff that you might have been indulging in - even if that has just been Bootcamp Light.

Well done Ilove.

Time - I struggle with the high fat aspect of main meals with family more than the low carb part. It's easy for me to not have the starchy carbs and have more veg, but I cannot bear oil or butter on veg so I can't add fat that way, we can have fatty cuts of meat or oily fish but not every day. I add cheese or soured cream to some meals, but it doesn't work with everything, I am rather tired of cauliflower cheese now.

One way round it is for me to have salad rather than extra veg so I can have a bit of mayo, but I have usually had salad and mayo at lunchtime so I get a bit tired of that too. I don't like oil on salad either, but French dressing is OK.

Anyway I didn't post yesterday. STS for me this week, but I had chips and bread over the weekend so no surprise there. Onwards!

BlackMozart · 29/11/2017 11:36

Huge congrats to ilovecherries and Gammeldragz that graph is very helpful.

I weighed this morning and have lost 1 3/4 lbs which I am slightly amazed but pleased by as that is definitely more than I expected. Am going to try and focus positively this week on the slow but steady progress !

I have gone back to having breakfast this week which I think might have helped and although it is too much bacon it is what was available in the hotel so am not going to fret about it.

I think the cold weather is making me really hungry. Have just been outside for a couple of hours mucking out and having the farrier to my three donkeys and have come in cold to my bones. Now I have the delights of my annual accounts to get to grips with. Oh joy unbounded!!

BlackMozart · 29/11/2017 11:38

Oh and if someone could add my loss to the spreadsheet I ‘d be mighty grateful. 😊

Almahart · 29/11/2017 11:38

Amazing Ilove really well done

Am half a pound off my Lowvember target!!

Rshard · 29/11/2017 12:51

I need to remind myself of my lovember weigh goal, I’ve been rubbish at the exercise one I know that much. Does anyone remember which week’s thread it was on? Week 3 or 4?

BerylStreep · 29/11/2017 13:29

That's amazing IloveCherries ! Well done!!

Scabbersley · 29/11/2017 13:30

Well done ilove that's fab!

blackteaplease · 29/11/2017 14:33

Wow ilove, that's amazing.

Mimosa1 · 29/11/2017 14:54

I love how amazing well done you!!!! You are an inspiration. I thought of you at your wedding "fast" the other day as I resisted the lure of something or other.

NSV today - was told by one of the girls at work that I was looking 10yrs younger Grin combo of hair getting coloured and losing weight. I'm just not ready to stay fat and frumpy.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 29/11/2017 15:06

Wh0 - I'm the opposite to you. Love butter and olive oil on veg, but can't stand fish full stop and find it hard to stomach fatty meats. The only fatty meat I like is streaky bacon. Pork crackling, for example, turns my stomach.

I think I horrified my (newly diagnosed diabetic) mother yesterday. She'd been at her diabetic clinic yesterday and asked for some breakfast ideas, as she's not keen on plain cereals. She was pleased to hear she could have an egg or two. I suggested plain yoghurt, which I have at lunch, but that doesn't suit her either as she needs something sweet with it. She asked me what I have with my yoghurt and there was a startled silence when I answered with "cream"! My mother really hasn't got her head around this woe at all.

Saying that, DP still struggles. I'd wanted a glass of wine with him on Sunday night but he was off alcohol for some really stupid reason so I bought myself a really nice half bottle (which I paid for myself) as a treat. I told him to choose something quick for dinner. He said that a nice pizza would be perfect with the wine, but I couldn't have it, so what about pasta? I'm not sure pasta is a low-carb alternative, somehow!

(Yes I know, the wine isn't either, but it was one glass.)

Jerm123 · 29/11/2017 15:09

Ilove, well done you must be so proud of yourself.

NSV today - I went to get my blood pressure checked as it has been running high and my doctor was thinking of increasing the dose of the tablets I take. It was 140/81 Grin
Also, I felt lighter as I walked into town today. Today, I was 13lbs down from 10th October and my body moved better!

Jerm123 · 29/11/2017 15:18

Re above, blood pressure was 120/81 !!!

Wh0KnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 29/11/2017 15:33

Time - I don't think I could face cream in yogurt either, it's rich enough as it is, I haven't really had yogurt on bootcamp other than a dollop on curry every now and again. I love pork crackling, but butter on veg makes me want to heave, I hate it when restaurants do it, completely ruins the veg for me. I'd also rather have pizza than wine!

Jerm - that's great about the blood pressure, big difference! I will be having my middle aged person's health check next week so I'm going to be interested in my blood sugar, cholesterol and BP results, although it's several years since I've had any of them measured.

chocdog · 29/11/2017 17:53

Well done ilovecherries. That healthy BMI is just around the corner for you now. What an achievement. Gammeldragz your graph really is very helpful and reassuring. Thanks. I am stalling rather on this bootcamp after an easy 14 lb loss in the previous two months. But I will look at your graph and KOKO.

Hippadippadation · 29/11/2017 18:04

ilove that's brilliant! I know how long you've been waiting and talking about this day. I'm absolutely chuffed for you. Star

Just had an argument with DH. He wanted to make a nigella mexican taco recipe thing. I said fine, I'll have it without the wrap. Apparently I've ruined "all the fun things we used to do" like go out for pizza (we still go out, he orders pizza, I order salad) and have fish & chips (he usually has a kebab and chips and I just have the kebab meat and salad.) I don't get why these things are now "ruined" but apparently they are. He's stormed off in a huff. Angry

Veryflummoxed · 29/11/2017 18:14

@ilovecherries that’s brilliant. You deserve it though. You’ve stuck with it and given so much support.

Right just caught up. I’ve been very busy but keeping on track. Well done you all. I completely forgot about weighing Monday and since. I’ve just had lovely crackling and cauliflower cheese.

FurryTurnip · 29/11/2017 18:22

Checking in:

B: spinach omelette with chilli mayo
L: quorn chicken roll ups with cheese and cucumber, handful of almonds
D: will be courgette and mushroom in Stilton with cauliflower rice

BlackMozart · 29/11/2017 19:04

Evening all. Well I can say officially I am in love with...drum roll... Brussel Sprouts!! Oh they were just delicious and DH enjoyed them too. Had them with steak and buttered spinach and just had a coffee and 2 squares of dark choc. This cannot really be called a diet 😊

blackteaplease · 29/11/2017 19:11

Today's food
B. yogurt with berries
L. Ribbons courgette with smoked salmon
S. Hunk of cheese and 8 Brazil's
D. Cajun chicken, celeriac mash and broccoli

ilovecherries · 29/11/2017 19:34

Thanks everyone :). I'm really delighted. I would never have thought this would not only be possible, but actually relatively easy. I feel so much better, I move better, I sleep better, everything is just a little bit easier.

Looking at my body, the verdict is: bum has collapsed, bum cheeks are non existent and I have some loose, crinkly skin where they used to be. Boobs are still holding up relatively well, but are still pretty huge at a 34K. Inner thighs a bit crinkly but I think they might improve a lot with exercise. Legs - well one of them is covered in surgical scars and is still fairly wasted compared to the other but if I have tights on, the difference between them is less noticeable as my good leg has lost fat and my bad leg is starting to gain muscle, so there is hope there. Abdomen - belly button has reappeared, section scars have reappeared, overall a bit bumpy and uneven but looks much better clothed than it did. Face - jawline reappeared, double chin gone, face hasn't yet collapsed in on itself. Hair. Well, this is not good, though I'm not holding LCHF responsible. Weight loss in itself may have contributed but I'm pretty sure it started before that. Whatever the cause, it's getting worse every week, and I'm looking to start rocking a wig. If my hair grows back, that will be excellent, but I need to accept it may not. Overall though, my 50lb inventory is highly satisfying :)

Rshard · 29/11/2017 19:58

Oh ilove, your post made me smile! 50lbs lost is a huge achievement, I bet you look fab! In fact didn’t you post a photo last week?

Glad you enjoyed the Brussels mozart!

Jerm123 · 29/11/2017 20:47

Well, I’ve just had a mini celebration with DH. Fathead pizza. Me with half mushroom (prefried in butter) and half Margarita. DH added bacon to his. First time i’ve made this and it was delicious! I had a glass of prosecco and DH had 2.
DH said the food was fantastic and was happy to have it at any time, so a win.

It is the first time I can envisage eating this way long-term.

Has anybody noticed their alcohol tolerance has fallen. I’m now a very cheap date! One glass limit is not because of the diet Wine

Gammeldragz · 29/11/2017 23:20

ilovecherries woohoo! I had a feeling you'd be declaring that milestone this week, well done!
I doubt I will get there by Christmas, unless I do something drastic/egg fast, but I'm hopeful for January. I'm still 5lbs off my 50.
Glad the graph has helped some of you. I have to keep looking at it to see how far I've come and keep me going when the weight isn't shifting.

Today wasn't brilliant, food wise. I have a rotten cold though so could have been much worse.

Brunch - kale and sausage stir fry.
Dinner - celeriac chips, chicken kiev (18g carbs :( not worth them at all), cheese and mayo.
Pudding - cream out of the tub (for my sore throat...) Creamy brandy coffee (medicinal...).

YoLoElfSocks · 30/11/2017 00:09

Fabulous news ilove . Well done you!

I'm 35lb down and hoping for 50 overall by the end of next bootcamp.

I've not been posting much this week. Having a shit time and a bit preoccupied. Have been reading about all your successes though. Forgot to weigh on Monday so will leave it now til next week.

Veryflummoxed · 30/11/2017 06:33

@ilovecherries, love the description and I too bet you look absolutely fabulous.

Just quickly jumped on the scales and have lost a pound. That's five this bootcamp (after a very long stall)I am so happy to have cracked that 13 and a half. My next goal is under 13.

veryflummoxed 186. I know it's late in the week but could someone add me please?
