A thread for those of us wanting to tone up a bit after the weight loss!
I've downloaded the 30 day an challenge app mentioned on the BC thread. Also going to do push ups as I was getting better at these until I gave up my martial arts lessons. One day I will do a full one, still only able to go halfway down...

clear I told him I was exercising and he asked was LC not good enough any more? -He is rather sarcastic
I also like turquoise. I'm loving the app Smile

I followed the herd and got the turquoise ones too.

Have just done beginner level 1 on four different apps: abs, arms, butt and squats.

Not sure my form was great and I didn’t use a weight for the sumo squats, but Day 1 is done!

Need to get back into running too. Did a half marathon at the beginning of October but haven’t run since!

princessbear80 · 04/11/2017 22:28

And I did it upstairs in my bedroom so I didn’t have a live audience. DSS (16) would not have appreciated it! Hmm

SayrraT · 05/11/2017 09:22

Abs, bum and push ups done.

I'm not doing the cardio or anything else as I ride every day, play badminton once a week and do pole weekly as well.

I could feel my abs this morning Grin

I have deviated from the program a bit as my sit ups and crunches are identical. I can't get right up in a sit up. So instead I do crunches then I think they are called Russian sit ups Confused you raise your legs to 90 degrees and crunch up then twist side to side then back down and repeat.

starsky22 · 05/11/2017 09:24

Great idea, I'm going to join you and have downloaded 30 day abs, butt & arms. Just about to start day 1!

Gammeldragz · 05/11/2017 11:21

Day two abs done - beginner level 2. Starting to wish I had stuck with level 1, but I made it. Still sore from yesterday.

starsky22 · 05/11/2017 11:34

Decided to do day 1 and 2, so I'm caught up with you. Tomorrow will be the real challenge as I'm at work all day and by the time I pick the kids up, get them fed and off to bed I'm usually too tired for any exercise.

Gammeldragz · 05/11/2017 12:05

starsky same here. Working 7-7 then home to do kids bedtime story. I'd like to say I'll do it in the morning, but I'm up at 5:15 and leave just after 6... Maybe I can do it before bed, but I may have back/leg ache by then if it's a hard shift. Had a look at day 3 and it looks hard!

princessbear80 · 05/11/2017 12:21

Have done day 2, all on beginner level 1. Much more challenging than I thought it would be. I might try to double up some days, so I catch up with the over the course of the month, and finish at the end of November. Also did a 2 mile run - first in 4 weeks, was very happy!

Good work everyone Smile

TimbuktuTimbuktu · 05/11/2017 12:45

Can I join in? I have been doing 30 day shred since last week. On day 8 today and I’ve finally stopped hurting all over!

Rshard · 05/11/2017 13:57

All welcome timbuktu

Day two of abs done, the crunches are hard! Makes my left hip hurt, might do tomorrow’s on my yoga mat

Kleptronic · 05/11/2017 14:59

I went horse riding.

Gammeldragz · 05/11/2017 18:43

kleptronic I am rather jealous. Last rode a horse when I was 16. (Got concussion) I'd love to ride now.
I actually have a half shift tomorrow I think, so will get mine done. But need a plan for my two long shift days.

Browsing the low carb folder I found this thread and was all excited and then remembered that I hadn't done today's yet! So hello! And off I go.

Kleptronic · 05/11/2017 21:35

Go riding ragz it's fucking fantastic. I went for a lesson for 30 mins, it was epic. Ooh me core!

SayrraT · 05/11/2017 21:41

If any of you are in Scotland you can come and have a shot on my horse Grin

Riding is a fantastic exercise kleptronic I wouldn't be without my horses.

Kleptronic · 05/11/2017 22:04

Oh SayrraT I am so jealous of you!!! I love riding, sadly due to cash flow been a beginner for 20 years. I can rising trot and canter, sitting trot is rubbish though. I can go over very low crossed poles, well the lovely horses can, and I don't fall off (touches wooden head). Liverpool's right by Scotland no?

TimbuktuTimbuktu · 05/11/2017 22:10

Day 1 of abs and thighs done. Hopefully it will Work in time for weigh in tomorrow!

starsky22 · 06/11/2017 07:19

Well my muscles her hurting this morning, so yesterday's workout obviously did something, am determined to stick with this, so will do today's workout after work

Rshard · 06/11/2017 07:31

Mine too starsky. I’ve done day 3, in my dressing gown which wasn’t the best choice. Rest day tomorrow on my app

ClearEyesFullHearts · 06/11/2017 07:58

We get rest days? I haven't even started but that's cheered me right up. Grin

SayrraT · 06/11/2017 08:09

On the app it's 3 day on, 1 day off cleareyes

HarlotsWeb · 06/11/2017 08:19

sayrra I am so envious that you have a horse! One of my rewards throughout this weightless is going to be the moment when I am within the weight range for the stables near me, so I can perhaps start riding again.

HarlotsWeb · 06/11/2017 08:20

I am sort of there already, but that is standing naked on the scales, and I suspect that they would want to weigh me in riding clothes and hat etc :)

ClearEyesFullHearts · 06/11/2017 08:46

I'm going to start calling you Lady Godiva, Harlots.

Sayrra that's made my day. Getting to a rest day will actually be my motivation now. Grin
