I have carried on boot camp lite and though I haven't lost any more weight (too many creamy coffees I suspect) I feel fab - no more carb addict mood swings and raging hunger!

We'll be going away for a long weekend at the start of the bootcamp, so I'll have to do some planning!

I have bulimia (I'm not physically unwell and I'm over- rather than underweight) and several people have told me low carb has helped them keep the binge gremlins at bay. I've been on low carb before, eons ago, and in hindsight I was much healthier and in control back then. So here's hoping!

Welcome - but please, please, please be careful that you eat properly. If you have a history of disordered eating, anything that's about dieting/weight loss can be a problem trigger.

Have you talked to your GP about it?

Thank you, yes my GP is generally supportive. I also see a counsellor regularly, and will run this idea with her next week, too. I think for me it'll be important not to start weighing and counting carbs/calories, but from what I understand that's not what the bootcamp is for, anyway. :)

That's true. The idea is that if you just follow the rules you will eat well, eat low carb food and won't have to weigh or count. Takes the obsessive element out of it!

Thank you for adding me to the list. I started last Thursday (28th April), and have already dropped a few pounds. My husband is doing it with me, which helps! I low carbed for a bit last year too, with great results until I fell off the wagon - but I am still over stone down from before I started. I still have a long way yo go though :(

Hello again! This will be my third bootcamp, and I just have about 6-7lbs to lose before I hit my target BMI. Have lost about 2 stone so far - it definitely helps me in so many ways. Have added everyone plus me to the list.

I want to join in but know nothing. I go to the gym 5 times a week and just started long walks again as I'm doing a sponsored walk at the end of May..... but I keep eating too much and picking the wrong things so I'm toning up but not losing weight. I don't do tons of cardio at that gym, bit of rowing and cycling but not running but loads of weight training.
