Low Carb Bootcamp - the final weigh-in

BIWI · 30/03/2015 07:20

Morning all!

Well, here it is - the last weigh-in for this Bootcamp!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I'm not sure what's happened with the weight tracker, and I forgot to check with MNHQ Blush sorry.

From last week's thread it seems like there have been some great losses on this Bootcamp, so really well done all of you StarStarStarStarStar

For those of you interested, the next Bootcamp will start on May 11 - I think that's 6 weeks away. In the meantime, though, next Monday I'll start a continuation chat thread so we can keep going until then. (Not that you have to sign up to the next one, obviously!)

And the very lovely Sayra is going to set the spreadsheet up so that you can continue to use it.

Each Bootcamp is different (as I have learnt!), but I have very much enjoyed this one, so thank you all for your company Grin

I'm 1lb down making a total of 10lbs in bootcamp.

Thanks to BIWI and Sayra Flowers for all their hard work Smile and everyone for making me laugh, helping my cravings and keeping me motivated!

Amsterdam for a tulip binge this weekend but then back to business for me.

Well done all Flowers

Seri77 · 30/03/2015 09:08

Weight tracker is still accessible from the link on week 9 bootcamp thread, I've just updated my tracker.

13lbs down, thank you BIWI.

SayraT · 30/03/2015 09:15

Well done to everyone who managed to complete BC even if you didn't get the weight loss you wanted.

By sticking it out this long you will have changed your habits and it will be easier to stick with a LC WOE Smile

Hope to see some of you on the continuing BC thread and maybe on the May BC, some of you we won't see because you have reached your goal.

Well done Flowers

almahart · 30/03/2015 09:32

I finished bootcamp with a mini woosh! Down 1.5ibs this morning to 10.6. Totally thrilled as my target weight was 10.7 and I've lost 18ibs in total without feeling hungry and while eating some truly delicious food (and drinking wine). I can't imagine going back to carb heavy eating, not fussed at all about going out and eating cake today. Looking forward to keeping everyone company on this woe for a while as I lose a few more pounds and work out how to maintain.

THANKYOU BIWI!!!!

almahart · 30/03/2015 10:04

Oops, sorry, just did weight tracker spreadsheet and i have lost 15ibs, not 18

sassandfaff · 30/03/2015 10:09

Well I've finished on a mini rise! Boo.

Never mind. My last weigh in was 190, and I was 189 on fri morn. 190 on sat morning but 192 yesterday and today.

I'm blaming the totm, but I have ate a lot of 85% choc and diary too.

I'm still going to koko, with a view to doing the stricter 2 weeks when the next bootcamp starts.

almahart · 30/03/2015 10:41

Totm puts ibs on me sass, also makes me want to snack

sassandfaff · 30/03/2015 11:39

Ha.alma I've just this minute closed the fridge door......empty handed unfortunately!

Thwarted by dp. Bastard has took the last bar of choc to work. Grin

He will feel my totm wrath when he gets home!

sassandfaff · 30/03/2015 11:41

Just noticed - I have ate! I mean I have eaten, obviously. Blush

Romeyroo · 30/03/2015 12:19

Place marking for later Smile

MrsKoala · 30/03/2015 12:48

Morning all. On phone standing at the bus stop on my way to get some new jeans. I have sts this week, which is great as I'm pretty happy where i am weight wise. I just need to tone up now.

went out yesterday and got lots of comments on how great ive done and how slim i am (especially flat tummy). So i am looking forward to trying on all the jeans.

16lb lost in total, but i am going to stay lc for longer and possibly join next bc for another 5lb off.

I'll post pics of my fabulous new jeans. Well done everyone and big thanks to biwi. Flowers

Amaxapax · 30/03/2015 13:14

I'm officially 15lbs down! Very pleased overall, and I'm enthusiastic to carry on post-holiday. Thanks to everyone for the advice and motivation for the past ten weeks.

LexLoofah · 30/03/2015 14:49

STS but that's Ok as that is the way it has gone for me with losses every few weeks plus I did eat a LOT of dairy and some choc last week so will try to keep that in check. Will be carrying on as still more to lose.

11lb total plus the 3-4 I lost in the weeks leading up to BC where we started to lean into it so a stone overall. DH down over 20lb so two happy bunnies - thanks so much BIWI and thanks to all my new lc friends it is great to have so much support, sharing of experiences, advice, recipes and general entertainment each day.

Amax enjoy your holiday and swanning about in your shorts and swimsuit/bikini

SayraT · 30/03/2015 19:10

I saw these in the supermarket today so thought I'd give them a go.

Yuck, they are disgusting. I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't what I got! I managed to eat two with pate on them but can't eat the rest. Its like eating pond weeds Grin

I also bought this which was delicious but probably too high in carbs. I thought I might try to make my own version as it would be something that you could have when guests are round maybe as an occasional treat.

Gcalgske · 30/03/2015 20:24

Sayra I've never seen them but I do make 'sushi' with the nori sheets, vinegared cauli rice, smoked salmon and avocado, I guess they would be a less faffy way of having that? Not having to roll etc.

SayraT · 30/03/2015 20:31

Yeah maybe gcal I think I was expecting something like roasted kale crisps.

Wonkyparsnip · 30/03/2015 20:36

21lbs down here. Thank you thank you thank you. I'm going to carry on as Ive enjoyed it so much. Thanks biwi and to all the other bootcampers.

Romeyroo · 30/03/2015 21:04

Ooh, I might try the seaweed crackers - i actually like seaweed. I I used to buy the nked bars pre-BC but I think they are too carby as you say. I have been meaning to make truffles, actually, since Christmas, so maybe I will try them over Easter (random, I know)

wonkyparsnip fantastic loss, well done!

Well, I started BCing on 18th October just suddenly, so I realised I have been doing this nearly six months. Still amazed at it. My first day of doing it, I thought I would be so hungry I wouldn't be able to sleep - and then I slept fine and just kept going. Plan to KOKO though weight loss seems to have stalled. Not done a final weigh in yet.

Made bolognese for DC today for DC and had mine with cauliflower. Got IBS like pain which I got with kale, so wondering if cauliflower is also a no-go for me. Hope not as I still have half it in the fridge.

Amax, have a lovely holiday

Romeyroo · 30/03/2015 21:06

Sorry, lots of mistakes in there, blame tiredness and bl**dy stomach cramps

CharlieSierra · 30/03/2015 21:40

I haven't weighed yet due to an unfortunate incident involving a hot cross bun Shock Blush maybe tomorrow.

Well done everyone and thank you BIWI Flowers

I'm carrying on so see you on the chat thread and next bootcamp!

Gcalgske · 30/03/2015 21:57

Aw romey my sister has an inflammatory bowel disease and she can't eat any cruciferous veg. Poor you. I needed a cracker tonight so to celebrate the end of boot camp I had a gram flour poppadum with lots of butter and blue cheese. A treat but a low carb one. I will be KOKO. Thank you all for making me feel so welcome and for all the chat and support. I will be on the continuation thread. X

Gcalgske · 30/03/2015 22:03

Romey Lakeland have really good extracts (white Kay star I think) which I use for my fat bomb truffles. They are equal quantities (100g each) cream / 85% + choc plus a capful of the extract and a tbsp of erythritol. Makes 24 /25 which are very low in carbs but really lovely and an extra hit of fat when you need it. I roll them in chopped nuts or cocoa powder.

Liveinthepresent · 30/03/2015 22:12

oh my goodness me i can't believe that is another ten weeks of bootcamp done - and to my shame i haven't posted once this time! So just wanted to say well done to everyone - thanks to BIWI, Sarya and all the other experts on here who make this work.I have been reading whenever I needed inspiration and you have provided that.
I have had so much going on in RL that I haven't had much space to think about bootcamp but amazingly I have been KOKO as its starting to be second nature and am off on holiday next weekend 9lbs lighter this bootcamp and 20lbs lighter in total.
I feel like i can see my pre baby weight and figure emerging (a bit saggier but the DCs are worth it!)
See you on 11 May for certain.

yongnian · 30/03/2015 22:22

Well I am happy to report another 1lb off, making a total of 10lb lost this bc and a total of 37lbs off since my first bc starting end of last sept. I have gone from 196lbs to 159lbs, so super thrilled about that.
So pleased, and will be KOKO as well as coming back in May.
I have 11lb left to go til goal and will hope to maintain a steady slow loss between now and next bc.
Brilliant stuff, well done everyone, major thanks to Biwi and all the bc stalwarts and see you on the chat thread.

Amaxapax · 30/03/2015 22:25

Thanks, Lex and Romey!

I had a funny thing happen today. I took my coat off and a friend I haven't seen in a while commented on how slim I was looking, and then seemed a bit shocked and said I'd lost a lot of weight and was I okay. It made me laugh, like she was concerned I wasn't being healthy, because then I got to tell her that my diet consists primarily of food I have cooked in butter. I can't think of many better ways to lose weight.
