Morning all my lovely campers!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

and don't forget the Weight Tracker if you prefer to keep things private.

Hopefully the dreaded weeks 3 and 4 are well behind us, and we can now get on with the process of shedding more fat Grin

Here's to another good week, and I hope that the scales were kind to you this morning

Bitchy I didn't know that about migraine medication - I have had to take mine twice since the start of BC (flickering light at work, which is now fixed, not BC related) - I hadn't considered there would be an effect (I have got Imigram (not sure of the spelling)). I hope that you feel better anyway.

Thumb my sympathies with the early waking - I have got stuck in the rhythm of waking about 5am, so I just get up and do some work, because that is basically how I manage my workload plus DC. But I don't have a partner, so there is no issue if I can't make it past 9 or 10pm!

I weighed myself this morning and the 2lb which had come on have gone again, so I am putting them down to TOTM and the effects of iron and counting this week as STS. I am removing cheese (I don't have any other diary) and cutting down caffeine to see if that gets things moving again. TBH, I am happy with STS, but it would be nice to see a few lbs go. I do know that I have to be really strict to get them off though, because otherwise I will just STS again.

Today B will be soya yogurt and my chia seed mix
L will be 3 x HB eggs, cucumber, lettuce and some black olives
D - I am making DC lasagne, so I will have some of the Bolognese sauce and courgetti.

I think I will need to have another up of coffee when I get to the office, but apart from that will concentrate on water and herbal tea.

Notso · 17/02/2015 07:50

Am grumpily awake this morning. It's half term, DD, DS2 and DS3 are all fast asleep. This is very rare, the boys are usually up at 6 or earlier. Instead of enjoying a lovely lie in I have to be up because PIL are bringing DS1 back at 8:00 Hmm (I know it was lovely of them to take him but they make a massive thing of giving me a break but really they only took him because DN's 6 and 4 pester to play lego with him and taking the quietest one out of the four isn't much of a break)

I ate terribly yesterday. A piece of pork for breakfast, then nothing all day except coffee and cream. Was clothes shopping with 14 yo, 4 yo and 2 yo which was awful! I was really properly hungry when I got back and scoffed cold meatballs in goulash sauce, leftover celeriac dauphinois, more cold pork, cream and blue berries, a baby bel and some dark chocolate over the course of the evening.

Sorry about DH's Grandma cymru Flowers

Thumb I have pelvic floor issues despite that being the only regular exercise I've done over the years. I suspect I've had a partial prolapse [TMI] but am too scared the dr will say it's weight related so am in denial until I'm a bit lighter.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 17/02/2015 08:12

Breakfast - coffee with milk (out of cream, argh!), raspberries and yoghurt.

Need to go shopping today. Gonna make it a super healthy shop. Might even do a few ubercamp days a week

Is cream freezable? I was thinking i might freeze cubes of it, so i dont need to worry about 'using up' the cream before it goes off (now dh has stopped having it in his coffee)

ChesterDrawers · 17/02/2015 08:27

Not had chance to read the thread yet but just checking in. Will have a proper catch up tonight.

Sunday was an unmitigated disaster, the details of which I won’t go into, but the result was a 2lb gain this week, when I was on for at least 1lb loss Sad. There’s no one to blame but myself, and the most annoying thing was the food was not even that nice and by the end of the day I felt stuffed, sick and so uncomfortable. I wish I could bottle that feeling for the next time I am ‘craving’ because it was so not worth it.

So anyway, I was back on it yesterday and also did a 4.5mile run with relative ease. Foodwise:

B: None – still full from Sunday
L: a strange concoction of sliced steak, left over doner kebab and mushrooms, fried up in butter and finished with cream and cheddar
D: Two Black Farmer sausages, swede mash with butter, asparagus fried in butter

Today is looking like:

B: Eggs, butter
L: Tuna mayo, salad leaves
D: Salmon wrapped in Parma ham, roast broccoli, swede mash with butter

Pisseslikeahorse · 17/02/2015 08:34

Morning all, can you hear that .... its the sound of my mother getting up with the kids at her house Grin

Nothings moving that fast for me, I seem to have dropped off the fuckup over zealous carb refeed from a couple of weeks ago and am slowly edging back towards goal, but have a slight carb creep in the guise of snacking on spoons of Peanut butter. So theres the thing I'm giving up for Lent.
But no reason for feeling bad, I'm eating well, I've got a decent run waiting for me today, a few days at the seaside with the kids and its sunny. Might even jump on the ubercamp bandwagon next week with Beyond if thats ok?

Sorry for the smug post everyone, Flowers to all KOKO

Mrsstevejones · 17/02/2015 08:39

I freeze cream into ice cube trays then pop them out into a plastic bag. I find it takes 3 for a coffee and makes it immediately drinkable temp - which is handy with 2 under 3. Great for popping in soup as well.

Still on a mission to up my fat
B- BPC and a sausage
L- BPC with a green smoothie
D- Chicken and stir fried cauli rice - possibly

Off out to meet a friend today plus her new bump - very exciting as its much longed for and will be totally odd as we were wild party girls ( a million yrs ago) and now all grown up and respectable.

Right must dash and try to make myself look less like a tired and cant be bothered mum of 2!

KOKO everyone

BeattieBow · 17/02/2015 08:47

hI everyone - I am on this thread but under my old name.

I've fallen off the wagon a bit and am trying hard to get back onto it.

2 questions: I don't drink water until the evening for some reason, so am trying to get my water through hot drinks. How many mugs do you think make up a litre? I've had 2 mugs of hot lemon water and one mug of peppermint tea so far.

Also, any recipes for low carb pancakes? I want to avoid picking at my dcs pancakes later on (my worse combination, late in the day when I'm hungry and my children's leftovers...).

Thanks!

ChesterDrawers · 17/02/2015 09:52

I have found a way to update the spreadsheet via iThings

I will do a little post this evening to say how I managed it for those that want to.

SayraT · 17/02/2015 10:03

Wow chester you are amazing!

MrsKoala · 17/02/2015 10:04

Morning all. 3rd hellish night in a row. The boys didn't go to sleep till 4.30 Shock I had 2 cold sausages at 3am to keep me going. DS2 was then up at 5.30 and properly at 6.30. I can't go on like this. My body is telling me it wants porridge and a banana. :(

imustbepatient · 17/02/2015 10:08

Beattie most of my mugs are about 250ml or slightly more hence you need 4 to make a litre, but measure the ones you use to be sure, as it wouldn't take much for a difference of eg 50ml to build up to you drinking less than you thought.

There is a pancake recipe on the recipe thread which I'm going to try later, which is basically

2 oz cream cheese
2 eggs
1/2 tsp cinnamon
The recipe also has stevia but I'm going to leave that out.

Blizz all the ingredients in a blender till smooth then leave for a few minutes to let the bubbles settle. Cook in a pan with butter for two minutes one side then one minute on the other.

I'm really looking forward to trying these. Smile

imustbepatient · 17/02/2015 10:09

Mrs K you poor thing. Thanks I remember that time with barely suppressed horror. Really hope this stage passes for you soon as it is tortuous to have such broken, little sleep.

MrsKoala · 17/02/2015 10:21

i just feel delirious imust, like everything is a dream or underwater. I would never drive like this. i am worried i would cause an accident. i don't even trust myself to supervise ds1 near the road.

Might do some unchallenging scrambled eggs for breakfast. It's days like this i would mainline tea and milk, have porridge for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch and pasta for dinner. Not because i want it but becasue it's all i can manage to make.

got some large mushroms and boursin for lunch - do i just put the cheese in the middle and bung it in the oven?

readyforno2 · 17/02/2015 10:27

I've STS. Although I really can't complain after last week. Back on it properly now so hopefully next week will bring a wee woosh..

Brilliant Chester. I could do with knowing your trick! It's annoying though, with the last bc I was able to update it no problem using my phone.

So far I've had 2 pints of water and a coffee with cream.

Birdinacage · 17/02/2015 10:47

Mrs K I remove the stalks on the mushrooms and spread a liberal amount of boursin inside the middles, top with a bit of grated cheese and then in the oven for 15-20 mins, my recipe says oven for 10 and then under the grill for 10 but you get the same result from just the oven so no point messing about swapping them ime.

BerylStreep · 17/02/2015 10:52

Morning all! Day 1 completed yesterday and feeling excited!

I have started using MFP (started for when I briefly tried 5:2, which turned into 6:1, then 7:0 Blush) and yesterday I had 6g of carbs. What is it we are aiming for again?

Also, can anyone tell me what this KOKO is that you all speak of?

Am having pork crackling and braised cabbage for tea tonight. Did I mention I am excited?

lurkingmurking · 17/02/2015 10:55

Oh gosh MrsK that sounds utterly horrendous. Is there anyway you can get your head down for an hour later?

I had a 'proper' BPC this morning with butter and coconut oil - it was actually yum and I definitely had more energy in my gym class.

B: Total with raspberries (out of eggs argh)
L: Last of the pork carnitas with red cabbage and avocado
D: Shepherds pie with cauli and swede mash
Water water water water!

Notso · 17/02/2015 10:59

MrsK you have my sympathies been there, done that and got the tear stained T-shirt ((hugs))
What about something like an oxo drink instead of tea.

galbraith · 17/02/2015 12:05

BestisWest Think it's time I try the walnuts, thanks for the tip!

MushroomTree · 17/02/2015 12:06

I had to cheat :(

I've had Norovirus since Sunday so unfortunately I've had 8 oatcakes and a slice of toast.

It's been the only thing I can keep down.

Feel better now though so should be able to get back on track. I've got cold roast beef in the fridge so I think I'll see about some of that for lunch. Not sure I can face anything too fatty or oily yet.

On the plus side I've had plenty of water and lost 3lbs this week!

LexLoofah · 17/02/2015 13:36

Best went to update sheet for you but looks like wrong figure in for last few weeks unless you have really dropped over 70lbs in which case I would like to know exactly what you have been eating! Smile. Starting weight 231, 26th Jan 227, 2 Feb 158.6, 9 Feb 157.9 - let me know what it should be and I will fix

LexLoofah · 17/02/2015 13:40

Day One of Uber Camp for me. DH did not lose last week either so is joining me and regretting the 2 bottles of wine he had at the weekend. Moderation not possible in our house, best not to have anything in at all.

B - 2 sm chicken and chorizo sausages, 2 sb eggs mashed with butter, BPC
good job it is only 3 days

prettybird · 17/02/2015 13:51

KOKO = Keep On Keeping On Smile

trashcanjunkie · 17/02/2015 13:53

Afternoon all. Had a fantastic lie in this morning

Ds 2 and 3 are still in dressing gowns, playing on iPads whilst watching 'After Earth'

Dogs are snoring on the sofa Grin

I have had a late breakfast of two scrambled eggs with a small slice of blue cheese, some double cream and a big spoon of cottage cheese, plus a bit of leftover dressed salad.

Big ol' cuppa tea and am into the first ltr of water....

Now, my plan is to get on with a uni application. I need to do my personal statement, for a masters degree in social work. (Any social workers out there feel free to pm me pointers! Grin)

Lunch for me will be leftover pork carnitas.... They were fucking delicious, whoever posted they recipe thank you!!

For dinner I'm roasting a chicken and having courgette and aubergine.

The dcs want pancakes. I will confess to having bought a bottle or two of Betty Crocker mix Blush

BeattieBow · 17/02/2015 13:56

thanks imustbepatient - I'll try that later on.

Can I ask what uber bootcamp is? I need to be strict as I didn't lose anything either last week (and gained this morning too).

Today I've had

2 cups of coffee with milk (I know)
2 hard boiled eggs with ham

pret prawn and acovado salad, pret hard boiled eggs and spinach
2 mugs of hot lemon water, 2 mugs of peppermint tea, one bottle of pret fizzy water (500ml).

So that's quite uber isn't it?

My downfall is in the evening when I am hungry and there's granola lying around.
