Morning all my lovely campers!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

and don't forget the Weight Tracker if you prefer to keep things private.

Hopefully the dreaded weeks 3 and 4 are well behind us, and we can now get on with the process of shedding more fat Grin

Here's to another good week, and I hope that the scales were kind to you this morning

Ubercamp is a strict three day diet. It involves no dairy and I think less than 20g carbs per day. There are menus on the spreadsheet if you look at the tabs along the bottom.

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 17/02/2015 14:17

Well.
I've just eaten flapjack. I'm losing patience with things not moving, and although I know about all the benefits of this woe I just cannot keep eating the same meals every single bloody day. It's costing me a fortune in avocados and cheese.
I cannot go dairy free, I just know it. The meals will become so bloody dull that I will fail. And without going dairy free I don't think anything will shift.
I can maintain my weight on a non low carb diet so if that's all that's happening here I can't stick to it any longer.
Feel like a quitter but there it is.

mootime · 17/02/2015 14:22

I'm feeling a bit down aswell. Two friends doing slimming world have lost a over a stone in less time than I've been doing this and currently in only down 5lbs (was 9lbs down) and while I had a bad week in terms of quantities and a bit of wine dark choc etc it doesn't bode well for future maintenance that I put on 4lbs soooo quickly. Trying to stay positive and will KOKO but I just wish I could shift a bit more weight.

Thumbwitch · 17/02/2015 14:22

mrsK - your sleep deprivation sounds like my jetlag when I get back to the UK! I never drive the first day because yes, I too feel delirious, lightheaded and "out of my own body" - and driving like that is terrifying.

YOu absolutely need to find a way through this with more help from somewhere. If your DH really can't be there because of work, and you can't stay at your mum's too much because of everything else, then I strongly advise you look into getting some kind of in-house care, even a night nurse, or anything! DS2 is still probably small enough that you could get an agency maternity nurse in, yes it would cost but what price your health and sanity?

Gcalgske · 17/02/2015 14:23

B: coffee with almond milk, 1 Debbie & Andrew sausage.
L: cauliflower fried 'rice'

mootime · 17/02/2015 14:36

MrsK,
I'd not read your post re not getting to sleep until 4.30!
You must be wrecked.
I know it's tough (and we currently don't have it as bad as you) but sometime you really do have to bite the bullet and sleep train, for your own sanity. Both of my DS have been through phases of waking every 45 mins at night and taking forever to settle. It's only once you are out of it you realise the real extent of the nightmare.
We only have youngest Ds here this week as we are sleep training as he would only sleep past 4am with a feed and I have just stopped feeding him. It's really hard to hear him crying but we ALL need more sleep. Him included.
Big un- mumsnet type hug to you. I hope you manage a rest at some point.

MrsKoala · 17/02/2015 14:36

Thumb - i know what you are saying and i have advertised for a mothers helper for 2 days a week at £8 per hour but had no replies :( i assume people want full time or more pay, but we can't stretch our budget any more than that. (and yes feels exactly like my jet lag too) I just don't know what i can do to get more help. DH is driving back from pils tonight and will come straight to my parents and he will take a few hours of the night shift to at least let me have a chunk of 4 hrs. My mum has been helping too (she takes DD at 6.30 and lets me have an hour before she goes off to work) and today the weather is glorious so dad has had ds1 helping him gardening for a few hours while i just cuddle crying baby, who is now crying/whimpering in his sleep all the time too. He's passed out from exhaustion now and i've managed to decant him into the buggy and put him in the sunshine in the garden.

Had a couple of fried eggs and some streaky bacon for breakfast and just bunged a boursin mushroom in the oven for lunch. Need to do laundry, run the hoover round and prepare dinner. My back is killing me too and i haven't had time to do my exercises/stretches yet so will do them now.

Sorry to those who are feeling down about the diet. Hope you feel better soon. Flowers

mootime · 17/02/2015 14:38

How old are your DC MrsK?

MrsKoala · 17/02/2015 14:48

2.5 and nearly 6mo.

mootime · 17/02/2015 14:50

I really do feel your pain. You have a similar age gap to me (4.5, 3 and 15 months).
I really hope that you get someone to help you out. X

SayraT · 17/02/2015 14:56

ehric why are you eating the same things all the time? No matter what WOE you were on if you ate the same things all the time then you'd be fed up!

Here is a list of all the meals which are on the recipe thread List why not try some new things over the next week?

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 17/02/2015 14:59

I'm vegetarian including no fish. I eat eggs for breakfast, salad for lunch and some form of vegetables with cheese for dinner, sometimes with tofu. Occasionally I have an omelette instead, but I don't want too many eggs!
There are honestly hardly any things I can eat without spending hours prepping which I don't have.

SayraT · 17/02/2015 15:00

You know, maybe LC doesn't work for everyone, just like SW, WW, 5:2, CC etc didn't work for me. But we are halfway through the 10 weeks, if you are not losing yet but are enjoying this WOE otherwise why not stick with it for another 5 weeks. If you've given it a good go by then and it hasn't worked then fair enough try something else.

I wish that we could make it work for you (not just you, everyone) but we can't. All we can do is advise based on our experiences, if it was possible to make everyone lose pounds every week then we would.

Flowers for those feeling disheartened and fed up.

SayraT · 17/02/2015 15:03

Ahh ehric I didn't realise that. I would not be able to do LC if I was veggie, out of interest what was it that drew you to LC?

I know that chipping is also veggie and think that some others are as well I think that there was/is a veggie BCer thread. IF you are not on it then they might be able to give you some advice?

mootime · 17/02/2015 15:10

I know that it doesn't work for everyone, but I really want it to work. I don't find the food boring or hard, I guess I'm just tired of being fat and wish it was easier. I know there are tweaks I need to make/ could make but that's what I find hard. Portion sizes are probably what's doing it, but I'm always so bloody hungry.
I was really positive yesterday, and I know that when I've done SW or WW I've gained back, whereas I think I can stick to this in the long term.
I am also aware that my hormones are going to be all over the place, and am a bit adrift after stopping feeding ds. 6.5 years is a long time to be pregnant and breastfeeding...
Anyway, I'm prattling on. I'm going to go and get more water.

CharlieSierra · 17/02/2015 15:20

Ehric have you looked at Whole 30 resources for vegetarians and vegans? It won't all be low enough in carbs for bc, but there might be some new ideas, I'm not vegetarian but my most delicious recipes now come from paleo sources.

SayraT · 17/02/2015 15:20

Stick with it mootime if you are enjoying the food etc then it does make it easier, as I said above if I was veggie like ehric I'd find it much harder.

I think that for me LC is a WOE that I really can stick to for a long time (I have already stuck with it for more than a year). I have always been fat but actually I am quite happy with my body and myself despite being very overweight 223lbs ish. I am taking the scenic route to a lower weight. One thing I actually like about this WOE is that when you go off track it has an immediate consequence, I think if it didn't I'd go off track much more often!!

Thumbwitch · 17/02/2015 15:57

MrsK - I have PMd you, hope it helps.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 17/02/2015 16:05

I'll be unercamping tomorrow, had already had raspberries, yoghurt and coffee this morning so bit late to start today. So i just had (lc) pancakes, three stuffed with avocado, sour cream and matesons sausage, one with lemin juice and one with almond butter.

Kids both had duo chocolate spread and toffee sauce and smell positively edible now Grin

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 17/02/2015 16:16

Part of my problem is that I'm very stressed at the moment and my usual response is to squash my stress with food. It's hard to get the same effect without carbs Hmm

mootime · 17/02/2015 16:24

Maybe i need to uber camp next week. This week wouldn't work as we have 2 parties and my parents are coming up. Also, I can try and get everything organised. Maybe in the meantime I'll keep an eye on my portion sizes.

Mrsstevejones · 17/02/2015 17:02

I was out for lunch today and food choices very limited. I had 2 BPCs before i left as i thought that would tide me over but come lunch time i was starving. I ordered a chicken caesar salad minus the croutons but sadly the chicken was some processed breaded fillet thing. I still ate it but i hope that lack of carbs first thing will balance things out.

Dinner tonight will be chicken quarter with stir fried spicy cauli rice. I havent had nearly enough water so will try to rectify that later.

Sending sympathies to everyone struggling one way or another x

LexLoofah · 17/02/2015 17:40

colleagues birthday today, office doing the usual cake, have declined much to raised eyebrows as known to be the queen of baking and eating cakes.

contented with my lunch instead - 4 pork gyoza meatballs (mentioned in other threads from the clothes make the girl website: tasty and nice texture, good tip to add cream of tartar and baking soda to lighten them, hope they are OK for BC), radish, fennel, celery, cucumber, lettuce with mayo - have weighed everything and will post total carbs for the day later

ChesterDrawers · 17/02/2015 18:43

Ok, so updating the Spreadsheet of Wonder on an iSomething...

Download apps for both Google Chrome and Google Sheets - both free.

Open Chrome and go to weekly BC thread, then click on spreadsheet link.

Spreadsheet will open, than at the bottom you will have option to open in Google Sheets.

Click that (I selected 'always' option) and it will open a separate spreadsheet. You can the click on the cells and edit pretty easily.

You do need a Google login, but I think you need one to access the regular spreadsheet on Google Drive anyway.

Hope this makes sense and is of use to some of us. I've managed it on my old iPad and iPhone 6 today so it should work on all models.

SayraT · 17/02/2015 18:45

Well done chester hope others can manage it too Smile
