I'm 8lbs off now in total (still on 12 days). Pleased with that. Smile

Hi. Can I join in? I've been reading all the threads, takes some doing! I started LC a week past on Sunday and lost 4.9 lbs when I got weighed yesterday. Very pleased with that. Would love to lose another stone. Thanks for all the great tips and support. The threads are excellent.

Grin
Afternoon all, and welcome to bear

Will have to weigh tomorrow as stayed out last night so no scales first thing.

Had a strange breakfast experience this morning. I drove a friend to a hospital appointment first thing, and as I already had picked up four doggy clients I thought I'd do a walk nearby. Only problem was I had rushed out without breakfast, so needed to eat before I went striding. I parked next to a greasy breakfast van, and thought I'll just have bacon and eggs in a tray - except they only sold buns, and had no trays, so I got them to dish it up on a paper bag Blush and put the fried egg between the rashers of bacon..... It was heavenly. Then had a great walk with all the dogs, who promptly found cow pats and rolled in them...

Lunch was cold beef slices with Mayo and celery, plus a spoonful of clotted cream for afterwards.

Dinner is pork steaks, although I'm nervous about eating pork again.....

guymartins if you're training hard, are you remembering muscle will weigh more than fat?

Waves at hissy

I will weigh in tomorrow as I didn't like what the scales said today Grin

Ended up having a bit of a pants day although I am glad to be back at work after having to be nurse Sayra last week.

I didn't have enough food to eat so breakfast was a coffee with cream, then lunch was a little gem lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes Sad Work normally sell wee tubs of tuna mayo that I had planned on buying but they didn't have any today. Then we had torrential rain this afternoon and I had forgotten that I'd left the window of the car open so now I've got a soggy car seat and bum Smile

Wee trip to Lidl on way home intending on having LMDs (where are you LMD?) Taco Bake but forgot to buy the cheese Hmm so need to think of something else for dinner tonight.

I'll be weighing tomorrow. I've been living on cheese for the last few days so I hope it will be ok.

B halloumi, ham and feta all fried in butter.
l mozzarella and tomato salad.
D beef stew with carrots and mushrooms.

S small bit of Brie and Cheddar.

A pound off for me, makes it 4 lbs since the start - hard own but sooo worth it. I started BC a week late so halfway through, really hope I can keep up the slow-but-sure drop!
B - scrambled egg
L - salad and paleo meatloaf
D- more salad, as it's too hot I cba'd to cook, and halloumi

Nearly through my water, well done everyone for some great weight losses! And glad you're staying fellow marmite lover pingu !

Mmmm, yummy. Why doesn't everyone eat like this?!

I've just had chicken thighs fried in butter and garlic for my dinner, it was almost as orgasmic as the Lidl garlic duck (it doesn't exist anymore so don't rush off to find it).

PeonyStick · 09/06/2014 20:37

mmmm... yummy
I have just had huge field mushrooms with a spoon of lazy garlic and filled up with feta cheese, drizzled with oil........
quite delicious....

Someone at my new job is an ' evangelical' weight watchers lady..... oh how I am glad I walked away from that miserable existence.

I am sure this WOE is making me look better facially - I am actually liking the look of some of the photos of myself these days...... not fat and not wrinkled....... Its like a dream Grin.

I've had really bad cravings the last two days. They are driving me a bit nuts now. I think I'm just exhausted but I'm really having to fight them. Hope they ease up tomorrow. I think not being able to dairy, this all just gets a bit boring. I want carbs! And if not carbs, then at least feta and Camembert and cheddar and lovely soft goat's cheese. Wails.

Report
SayraT · 09/06/2014 22:02

Poor lowcarb well done for not giving in though. Can you not do dairy at all or are you just trying to cut it out for the moment?

Last BC some of us ended up painting our nails to stop us from giving into temptations or I'd go for a bath or just go to bed! When I am sleeping I don't crave things!!

Report
pingufan · 09/06/2014 22:08

I've had the earliest nights ever since starting this WOE, it's the safest place to be and the furthest from the fridge :)

Checking in. Will weigh tomorrow. Well done for all the losses

lowcarbforthewin · 09/06/2014 22:19

Sayra I honestly don't know about the dairy. I think it is better it stays cut out for now. If I can lose a good amount of weight, I can put it back in in small quantities.

I really, really want to binge. Sad just keep swimming. just keep swimming.

SayraT · 09/06/2014 22:33

Please don't lowcarb if you are anything like me you will feel awful as soon as you've done it, or during. You know you will be sabotaging all the good work you've put in so far and you won't enjoy it as much as you think you will.

You don't need whatever you are craving, sometimes for me a hot drink can help take cravings away I don't know if that help you at all.

Be strong, we all (or lots of us) know exactly how you feel and we are here to help you deal with this.

Brush your teeth, drink a big glass of water and go to bed. It's what I do when the dreaded evening cravings call. I'm never hungry but it's just habit to have something to snack on. It's murder, hope it passes soon x

Report
SayraT · 09/06/2014 22:41

Yeah teeth brushing is another good one. I am off to brush mine then off to bed, see you all in the morning Smile

Report
miffy49 · 09/06/2014 22:46

Its amazing how much we eat just out of habit isn't it? Eating at certain times and in certain situations just because its what we've always done. I find that harder to break out of than actually sticking to the WOE. I love eating low carb but I often find myself peering into the fridge and realising I'm not actually hungry! I'm getting a hell of a lot of crochet done trying to fill the gap with something other than food!

Report
CQ · 09/06/2014 22:59

Agree with the fridge-peering miffy - it's a terrible habit. Now rather than have a piece of bread which was my former go-to graze, I have a spoonful of clotted cream Grin

Utterly heaven. But possibly why I'm not shifting the weight as fast as I should.

Off to bed now - do not pass fridge, do not collect a spoonful of anything…..

1 lb off so that makes half a stone. A stone in total since Christmas. Really pleased. Going to up the water this week.

Lowcarbforthewin if you're having bad carb cravings then I would recommend dealing with it before it gets out of hand and you risk falling off the wagon. Are there Bootcamp Light treats you could have such as celery sticks dipped in almond butter? I like salted macademia nuts because they're so expensive you can't afford to go crazy and eat loads of them. Alternatively if you feel you really must have carbs then go for a safe carb you have been missing: a few baby potatoes with your dinner or some carrots or an apple. No you aren't supposed to eat them on Bootcamp but it might stave off those carb cravings. Briffa recommends dealing with cravings head on.
