Wow! So much nattering that we've filled up the thread before the end of the week!

Here's the link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for tomorrow morning.

And, for the Weight Tracker I'm not quite sure what happens with this link I think that you will be asked to enter your weight for this week and then you will see your individual graph.

I hope you all had a good week last week, and very good luck for week 2.

Crap. I know I shouldn't have but I weighed myself and have put on 8lb. Today.
WTAF? How is that possible? I haven't cheated, at all, I've been drinking plenty of water(at least 3litres) but I have been hungrier (as usual) with PMT.
Yesterday pm I was 10.6 now I'm 10.13. Or whatever one line down from 11is.
I should get my TOTM tomorrow, will it all go away again, or will I have to do another week of Bootcamp?
Waaaaah and again WHAT THE FUCK?

Thumbwitch · 23/01/2014 03:29

NotTwit, did you say PMT? Are you just holding water, do you think?

Fret not, it will level out.

Today I have failed in the breakfast area again. Didn't have any (my normal MO)
Lunch though was fried feta (in the buttery pan that I used last night for my courgette ribbons, so extra green! Wink) with iceberg lettuce mixed with teeny cucumber cubes, that tzatziki, and a hard-boiled egg mashed with whole egg mayo (has less carbs in than our usual one and is, in fact, much nicer). Very nice!

Dh is getting the arse about it though because we take it in turns to cook - half his easy meals are off limits because they're pasta-based. Ahhhh, poor bloke, eh? Hmm

Morning all, two-day headache is finally lifting, I'm half an lb down from yesterday and feeling good. That's 8lbs in three weeks Smile

Today's plan:
B: total and cream
L: left over cottage pie
D: chicken nuggets, roast broccoli and might have to try the old celeriac dolphin pose Grin

Have a good day all.

Gerrythetootallgiraffeswife · 23/01/2014 07:11

Morning all, the end of today marks the end of a very tough working week where I have avoided all temptation. Even managed to remember to turn down a tic tac offered (hope it wasn't a hint about my ketosis breath.

Today:
B: boiled eggs(might try in a cup!)
L: left over mince with stuff in it. Last night's made up dinner
D: something with halloumi. Maybe salad. Maybe just halloumi. Love the stuff.

Happy lcing losers!

CrabbyWinterBottom · 23/01/2014 07:13

Blimey Precious you were up early!

I'm awake and sitting in bed drinking my tea. This is some sort of miracle for me - my natural wake up time is 9am (lazy cah!) and it's a struggle to turn the light off before 1/2am every night. I can only ascribe this miracle to low carbing and hardly drinking.

Good job there's something positive then, because my skin resembles a volcanic moonscape and since Monday I have lost.....drumroll.....
Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Niente. O lbs.
Depsite the world exploding out of my bottom on a worryingly regular basis for the last three days. Hmm And my period starting properly too. Sad

Oh well, my mood, mental state and sleeping are vastly improved. I don't have as much to loss this time around either so I wasn't expecting to see such dramatic losses this time. Bit disappointing that I've got days of carby/ boozy temptation coming up now so would be very lucky not to see a gain by Monday.

Twit never never never weigh in the evening you silly billy! It will always be heavier than in the morning, although 8lbs is Shock, I'll give you that.

blizy · 23/01/2014 07:15

Yesterday I was terrible food wise,
B cheese
L- ff yog with cream
D- burger

2 cups coffee with cream and not enough water.

My excuse is I got notice of an inspection by the care inspectorate (Scottish equivalent of offstead)' they are coming today eek! I was so busy cleaning and doing paperwork I just did it have time to cook. I am a childminder incase you are wondering why I'm being inspected.
I promised to eat today.

Green tea
B- scrambled egg
L-tuna salad with ff mayo
D- courgette spaghetti Bol
I will drink at least 3l of water

CrabbyWinterBottom · 23/01/2014 07:18

blizy they only give childminders one days notice? Blimey! Good luck, hope it goes well.

BIWI · 23/01/2014 07:34

Twit - you can't possibly put 8lbs of fat on overnight!

If you were weighing yourself in the evening - stop it, for all the reasons outlined above.

If it's your period, this will also explain an apparent gain. It could be water retention, the cure for which is - counterintuitively - to drink more water!

I know, but I had been weighing, nekkid, in the vending as I forgot he first weigh in last week. I changed it to a.m. on this Monday morning, but normal would be say, a couple of pounds wouldn't it? And it's worse, because I weigh on Wednesday, and had actually weighed in the morning too and was already up a pound. So 10.7 in the a.m. and 10.13 ( ?) in p.m.
It hasn't gone anywhere yet either Sad.

I'm hoping its water thumbwitch, I used to suffer that although not this badly.
I repeat; waaaaahhhh

NotTwit · 23/01/2014 07:43

Thanks biwi I'll have to drown my sorrows then. Will I need to redo this week do you think?
I have been weighing in the evening as I said ^^, so it's still a huge increase! I weighed in at 10.6 the evening before.
Hope you're ok?

Pleaseandthankyou · 23/01/2014 07:44

Yesterday was a disaster but only food wise. Back on track today. Gerry try adding butter, mayo, salt and pepper to your eggs in a cup.

AthelstaneTheUnready · 23/01/2014 07:45

grumble grumble grumble I have the reverse whoosh fairy. The whoosh goblin? Heavier again this morning. Bah.

At this rate, over the course of bootcamp, I will have lost 8lbs, put on 8lbs, and ended up slimmer [confusion].

Never mind, as Crabby says, I feel so much better anyway and that's what was at the forefront of my mind: I've broken the nightly drinking habit, I feel as though I've taken off some sort of all-body-vague-suit so I feel physically more present, AND I get to wake up in the morning properly. I AM a slightly different, smaller shape.

ImATotJeSuisUneTot · 23/01/2014 07:46

When does carb-flu kick in? I've only been doing this properly (this time round) since Monday and today I feel like shite. Pounding head, exhausted. Hmm

NotTwit · 23/01/2014 07:48

Ok, last post for a bit I promise. I am now 10.12, nekkid, first thing in the morning.

EwanHoozami · 23/01/2014 07:49

I scared the bejesus out of myself when I weighed in the evening once, NotTwit. Then realised that I had easily eaten and drunk several lb worth during the day which had yet to be, erm processed

Now weigh in is starkers and after nature has occurred and before deodorant and hair wash the giant loon that I am

sueh95 · 23/01/2014 07:51

I can't believe it!! I am a pound heavier than when I started Sad I did have wine and nuts at weekend (that seems a lifetime ago) but have been properly lc'ing since then. I don't want to give up because I love the food and don't feel deprived at all which I normally would if following ww/sw/ or whatever. I could be premenstrual but I never know for sure as I'm quite irregular.
I think I should post/record my daily menus to see if I'm going wrong somewhere, although today I'm a bit concerned as I'm having a working lunch and its usually a carb fest with very few lc options - anyway here goes:
todays plan
B - coffee with cream (not decaff but I could do if that helps)
L - not sure
D - considering celeriac dauphinoise (or dolphin pose- lol) with some chorizo or bacon

S - if necessary - boiled eggs with mayo or cheese or ham/cream cheese roll ups

I've read a few articles about ketosis and I find it a bit confusing - does anyone have a link to a 'ketosis for dummies' Confused type article? TIA

PseudoBadger · 23/01/2014 07:56

Sueh95 if you follow BC rules you should be in ketosis. No wine! No nuts! This WOE isn't forgiving of cheating.

EwanHoozami · 23/01/2014 07:57

Low carb noodle news:

I was never a huge fan of the regular noodles as they had a consistency rather like elastic bands. BUT I got some flat tagliatelle-style konnyaku noodles from my local Chinese supermarket and they were most pleasingly pasta-like with my bolognese sauce. They are not zero carb however, but 3.6g/100g (100g is a decent if small portion)

captainmummy · 23/01/2014 08:07

BIWI does warn (every bootcamp) about the sometimes disheartening tendancy for weight loss to 'stall', sometimes even reverse, in week3. As we are going onto week3, and some are already there, the lack of great falls in weight can throw some people off the WOE.

It will come off, promise. I remember one poster lst year who spent something like 5 weeks with NO loss, after a 12lb loss in the 1st 2 weeks. She kept going, and was rewarded with a big whoosh. I haven't seen her on here since, so presumably she is still LCing ... Grin

RatherBeOnThePiste · 23/01/2014 08:13

Morning chums :) Brew

I know only too well about the stalling. I'm actually one of those on week 3 and my weight has stayed the same since weighing in on Monday morning. But am putting my trust in this.

sueh95 · 23/01/2014 08:25

thanks all Thanks for the reassurance, I really don't want to stop lc'ing - pseudo you are so right! Blush no pain no gain - and bootcamp is only 2 weeks - why the heck didn't I just resist!!! I wonder if it is worth doing an extra week bootcamp just to make amends......

DurhamDurham · 23/01/2014 08:37

I wish you could choose where to loose weight from.
My boobs have shrunk and believe me I didn't have any to spare to begin with. One seems to be shrinking faster than the other Shock

bettybigballs · 23/01/2014 08:48

Morning campers,

Lovecat, your dinner sounds amazing. Do you mind posting how to do the scallops? DH would love that.

I've also slapped on a few pounds. I'm feeling quite bloated and sore so could be pre-menstrual (a week early). I've also not had a poo in 4 days so hoping that's contributing too.

Trying not to get too worried, I can put on half a stone with PMT so I'm sure I've level out in a few weeks.

Saying that I do need to look at how I'm eating. I'm pretty much grazing non stop during the day so I'm going to knock that on its head. Three meals for me today. I also want to feel a touch of hunger again as I've lost touch with that a bit over the last couple of weeks.

Made baked cabbage last night, was gorgeous. Super simple: brown wedges of savoy with butter and garlic. Pop in tray, pour over a touch if stock (halfway up ). Lots of s&p and bake under tender. Yummmmm.
