Mumsnet? why are men encouraged to post on here?

Is this Mumsnet (a board for Mums)? If so, why do you allow men to post on here? Why can't they contribute to their own discussion boards.

Vonsting, are you drunk?

You sound just like my Mum about this time of night, three quarters of the way down the bottle o'clock.

The only thing thats making me think you're not my Mum is that she knows the difference between mumsnet and mum's net, even when she's pissed.

Kewcumber · 30/09/2009 22:30

I'm with you Ronaldinhio, never pays to let yourself go and be unladylike on mumsnet incase a stray man wanders across your path.

vonstingerrrr · 30/09/2009 22:33

so, I submit to your posts - this parenting site is good, but not for women with REAL issues around domestic violence or child abuse / contact issues. If you want any positive support, contact your local women's aid group. This site is full of useless lone Mum's who are here because they can't live without me. BOOM.... watch the fall out

oh do fuck off there's a dear - I think many posters could attest that as well as the real life support such as you've mentioned (wich they are always advised to seek) that it's been a great source of help for many people, not just on those issues, but on many many others too

GypsyMoth · 30/09/2009 22:35

who can't live without you?

nancy75 · 30/09/2009 22:35

ITS MUMS NOT MUM'S
i'm not even a pedant

LadyFoof · 30/09/2009 22:35

WTF? You're bonkers. Or a namechanger. Whatever, it's no fun baiting a twunt. Byeeee !

sleepwhenidie · 30/09/2009 22:35

she couldn't resist throwing that extra unnecessary apostrophe in could she

alwayslookingforanswers · 30/09/2009 22:37

you know what vonstinker - you're really pissing me off now, >

You are a stupid, twatface, misandrist, drunk(?) person (alien?) so stop being such a fucking stupid bitch and piss off.

Mamazon · 30/09/2009 22:37

hahahahahahaha

I have posted hundreds of times about my severe domestic violance, sexual abuse and constant emotional abuse from XP.

I have real issues, far more real than worrying about whether a man might read my posts

sleepwhenidie · 30/09/2009 22:37

wow alwayslookingforanswers - you type fast! [impressed emoticon]

alwayslookingforanswers · 30/09/2009 22:38

(must say after the afternoon I've had that actually felt quite good to let that lot out}

Kewcumber · 30/09/2009 22:38

I htink the extra '''''s are deliberate. They must be now, surely?

vonstingerrrr · 30/09/2009 22:39

BRATLEY

Are you male???? oh, you are! come on, defend Mum's net. The men can't set up their own site so they need to hook on to the women's site.

colditz · 30/09/2009 22:40
