Definitely getting harder Polly! Well my day has ended up not how I planned. Looks like the beginning of menopause, and the embarrassment of having to ask your all male team to let you go home because you’re flooding every time you stand up 😳 - sorry, TMI! Managed to get in at the Drs and got a prescription and an ultrasound appointment, only the village pharmacy don’t have it in so looks like a drive into town!

And the bloke I like met up with the new woman in his life last weekend (she lives away) and I guess they got on in real life so I’m backing off, but with a heavy heart - it’s not fair on her otherwise and he knows where I am if it doesn’t work out. Awful to admit but I managed to track her down on Facebook, and actually seeing her has made it better for me, she looks normal, and is a similar age. I hope they’re happy, genuinely I do, I just wish it was me Sad. Oh well, here’s to 😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼😼

Flowers have you had your hair done yet? Mine needs doing too but, I hate doing it! I have a box colour in the bathroom so, I will do that myself at some point but, I'm long over due a cut...I just hate it because I never come out entirely happy :(

Fos ((hugs))

Well I’ve done what every bored to the eyeballs 49 year old rejected single women who’s had a glass of wine has done and signed up for POF Blush - not expecting any miracles but had a laugh last night with a guy who I was speaking to a year ago from a different site when he spotted my profile! Least it’s kept me from thinking about the other guy and got me moving on again!

Solo · 15/10/2017 11:55

Lol! I've been on there for years but, I can't be bothered with it tbh. I was supposed to meet one guy after several phone chats that were so so easy and we seemed to really get on well, have loads in common etc but, he made a legitimate sounding excuse for rescheduling but it never happened. Put me off even more. Hope you have better luck Fos Thanks

I wasn't 'lol' at you going on there btw; it was more a thought of my own situation re the last one iyswim.

No worries Solo - I had one date that kept putting off and then getting back in touch and against better judgement met up. We got on brilliantly, felt like we’d know each other for ages, couldn’t wait to get back in touch with me - then the arsehole ghosted me after an initial ‘hi’ message the next day!

2 month’s later he was on my viewed you list when he Re enrolled........something tells me I sadly may have made a partner’s night that he’d hid from me a bit crap...,.,, —although no mention of one when I Facebook stalked so really not sure—

At least when I told my mates they were all a bit Confused - even the blokes!!!!

Foslady · 15/10/2017 14:52

WHY ARE MY STRIKEOUTS FAILING????!!!!!!

megletthesecond · 15/10/2017 16:07

One of my news years resolutions was to use a drill. I've just fixed the kids bird boxes to the fence Grin. They're not wobbly or anything.

megletthesecond · 15/10/2017 16:07

I might progress to indoor DIY eventually.

Foslady · 15/10/2017 17:59

Wayhay Meg - get you!!!! I’ve used power saws and screwdrivers but a drill scared me - i’m Bad enough with a hand one!!!!!

Foslady · 15/10/2017 18:02

And just been chatting and laughing with a guy all afternoon and when I said did he want to meet up said I wasn’t his type ffs!!!! Then said no one else had asked him out......I wonder why...........!!!!!!

PollyPelargonium52 · 16/10/2017 08:35

Hi all my hair appointment is 1st November so a while to go yet meanwhile so bored with long spindly hair it doesn't grow thick any more sniff snif.

A new friend suggested a choppy bob long at front and short at back so am going along with that.

Time for a change! Counting the days until it is done.

Foslady · 16/10/2017 08:37

New hairstyle can work wonders on your mood Polly - go for it!

PollyPelargonium52 · 16/10/2017 12:00

Hope so Fos.

Just gearing up for the storm this week here. I swear my laptop screen looks a different shade of white today!

Foslady · 16/10/2017 13:15

Stay safe Polly and anyone else affected

Foslady · 18/10/2017 19:35

Oh dear - homones have finally hit in the Fos household......AIBU to flick V’s with both hands a la Rik Mayall once dd has walked out of the room after her having a ‘dramatic ‘ for daring to suggest something to her? After coming home from work, going straight out again, driving 8 miles along country roads to taker her to her hours music lesson which whilst cheap compared to what we should pay and with a fantastic teacher are still a big drain on the household budget and not getting home til 5 mins ago and now having to cook tea - all due to me daring to suggest a piece of music for her for her GCSE music exam work.......bloody kids!!!!!!!!!

Foslady · 18/10/2017 20:13

And dinner has only just gone in as she didn’t know I wanted it putting in the oven.......GIVE ME STRENGTH!!!!!

Solo · 19/10/2017 02:21

Thanks And breathe Fos.

All ok again this morning.......only we have civvies day tomorrow.......no doubt the only thing that she’ll want to wear will have been chucked in the wash basket 5 mins earlier!!!!😂😂😂

sosofedupnow · 21/10/2017 16:13

Hi can I join! I'm absolutely fed up at the minute! My dd is 10 years old and she is so extremely lazy! We made a deal last night that we would get up do a quick tidy then go swimming! Dd was up before me watched tv for hours then when I made her get up off the sofa and tried to make her get ready she didn't! So I went out to the gym and said hey ready! I came back and she still wasn't ready! I'm so fed up of wasting all the days!

How do you all spend your weekends alone with children?

Solo · 22/10/2017 01:19

Hi soso and welcome Thanks. I'm afraid I waste a lot of my weekends too as does my 10yo Dd. I have loads to do in the house but, it doesn't get done. I hate that I've done nothing though by the end of the weekend (apart from running Dd to her activities) but, it happens most weekends :(.

Well ladies I can't afford to have my hair restyled and highlighted I will just have to keep putting on the hair dye myself. Much cheaper!

And keep going for my haircuts and fringe cuts at the cheap barbers lol.

I don't know how people can afford fancy hair salons with the economy and cost of living these days I really don't. It would have set me back £120.

Solo · 22/10/2017 13:26

Hi Flowers :) Yes I know what you mean re the hairdressing costs! A friend of mine goes every few weeks (to a cheap place) and still spends a minimum of £60...it's way beyond my pocket but, she just spends her husbands money Hmm. Pah! Whatever!

PollyPelargonium52 · 22/10/2017 14:23

Well to be able to put up with a husband she would need some treats lol.

We have just been to McDonalds - ds eats the large sized Big Mac meal now he eats like a horse at times! Now he is 12 lol.

He is also very consious of clothes labels these days so we have just been in Sports Direct as usual for Adidas hoodies to look the part when out with his friends.

A couple of years ago he didn't need the labels but now he does!

Everything has to be Adidas or Nike or Puma etc.

Meanwhile poor little ole me gets my clothes off ebay now and again and thinks myself lucky .... Violins!!

Solo · 22/10/2017 16:19

I find her very self centred and I've questioned our relationship this past year. I've been friends with her for a very long time.

I recall those days of going from PrimAsda to named things and I dread it with Dd. Have you looked at Everything5pounds? If you are careful, you can get some good things.
