Seriously Joely it is ENORMOUS! I would far rather have a terrace a quarter of the size as it's one hell of a job to sweep/clean it!

Catapult I have to say that Spain is WAY behind the UK when it comes to disabled facilities, which is shocking really. Actually the bit I'm in is wheelchair friendly and the locale is also, but other parts are sadly lacking. Hope you find somewhere good though.

Ten have a fab hen party tonight! I imagine you may be slightly alcohol impaired later then....!

Cleaned my windows today so will no doubt smash straight into them again as I did last time..

Weather doesn't know what to do today. Sun over to the west, grey/blackclouds to the north and east and something of a breeze, so I suspect storms on their bloody way. Oh well. It's not cold at least.

Joelybear · 04/06/2011 14:29

Rock Pleased to say you have actually let us have some sunshine today!! But we still have a breeze, if you can find shelter from it it is actually quite warm here! And MIND THE WINDOWS!! Hows Bella doin?

Ten oh well on the date front you found out quick glad self esteem and integrity are intact you are coming on a treat.

THC hope your home visit goin OK and that you managing things :)

Dumps, Paul everyone else how you doin?

Makin a Brew if anyone free to join in then goin to the beach as DD thinks it would be good to do, so by the time I come back hope someone has opened the Wine I'll no doubt need it with just me and 3 little ones in tow!!

Joelybear · 05/06/2011 00:47

Hi all
well the beach trip went fine as DC5 went to bed and DC2 babysat, making life much easier!!
There was a sports thing going on at the beach we went to so it was rather busy, met up with a few different firends and also spotted by chance friends with there 4 week old baby, so I got to give her a cuddle which was lovely, first time I'd met her.
We got home at nearly 7pm made, bathed DC's while tea was cooking, so ate a late tea DC3 + 4 went to bed watching DVD in there bedroom for a few minutes - I forgot and went along at 9.45 to find them still watching it and talking to each other.-OOPS- have had to take a star of my star chart for that (might even sack myself as a parent!! If only LOL
Oh well will catch up with you sometime tomorrow maybe nite nite

taken4granted · 05/06/2011 09:06

43 and mum to a 10 yr dd and love being single now !!!!!!!!!!!!

MatureUniStudent · 05/06/2011 20:23

Oh how lovely there are so many of us! 45 with four DC and the eldest is always being mistaken as the mum of my youngest in the school playground (not cool apparently!) Happily single which was a suprise to me as I had done over 20 years of marriage and planned the WI and flower arranging/cake baking stage for the next 20 years of marriage. Instead doing a degree and realising how much nicer life is now I am free.

TheHumanCatapult · 06/06/2011 13:40

Wanders in .Glares hmm no one got a Brew on then

Hi Taken and Uni

I am another happy single person with 4dc and like fact I can decide what we do and when .Without needing to Ok it with someone else.

Hi Joely

TheHumanCatapult · 06/06/2011 13:43

Paul how are you doing ?

Guesisng everyone has been busy with half term and kids around ?

RockStockandTwoOpenBottles · 06/06/2011 15:24

Catapult so glad that DD had a lovely time - I thought she probably would. And how great that they're taking her again next year too! Week with DS3 sounds like a fab deal, and I get the whole older DC thing of not wishing to come with us too. Several YAYS at going home this week for you too. It's been a long old haul, but your stamina and upbeat attitude throughout has been amazing - properly well done to you for that, puts me to shame at times.

Taken and MatureUS hello. I have 4DC, am 40 and flitting between loving being single and not. This week it's loving! I do have the benefit of hindsight in many ways, having been a single parent with my 3 teenage DC many moons ago. They are now 17, 16 and 14. I also have DD3 who is 2 and a bit and is equal to, and possibly more, trouble than the other three put together

Paul what's news? How are you, been very quiet the past couple of weeks.

Dumps any more 'interesting' admirers Grin

Corine how was your weekend away in France? Excellent I hope.

Ten Some banana, cinnamon and sultana muffins on the side for you. They ARE delicious.

Joely have your lot broken up for the summer now? Do they still break up ridiculously early there, or has that changed?

We're coming over for 8 days at the end of the month, so running around somewhat over the next couple of weeks making sure that everything's ready for the vicious onslaught of pesky holidaymakers from the beginning of July....

I won't bore you with the weather - suffice to say that it's going to be at least 27 for the next 4 months Grin

TheHumanCatapult · 06/06/2011 15:27

orders some Rain for Rock .and puts in order for no Rain 3-10 August as am away in this country and dry will be good

RockStockandTwoOpenBottles · 06/06/2011 15:29

Would like some rain actually - saves me watering the plants Grin

piranhamorgana · 06/06/2011 20:17

Sorry I'm not very good at keeping up,but just wanted to say hi to everyone! Hope you all survived halfterm.
I had the week off but we had the Eisteddfod here which took up most of the week, and am now struggling back into the routine again and wondering how to find room to breathe.
Agree with Rockstock,my dd4 is more trouble busier and louder than 15,13,10 and 9 year olds together.

TheHumanCatapult · 06/06/2011 20:21

hmm see it is dd who is my noisy bossy one and shes only 8 , the 3 boys are easy

Joelybear · 06/06/2011 22:27

Wasted day at work sat at computer, that nearly went out the window this morning and again this afternoon, then lost my purse, was lating picking up DC's, told opff by ex for being late. Then had to run DS2 back into town 15 miles away!! Cant believe its 22.26 and still have letter of resignation to help DS1 write and College application to do with DS 2 when he comes in.

My back hurts and I'm fed up!!! ARRGH

WillIEverBeASizeTen · 06/06/2011 23:23

THC Glad DD had a fab time, great you're going home soon too..oh bottoms will have to get charger..right,all plugged in Grin as I was saying...has your home been adapted then? As Rock said, you're attitude has been amazing and quite rightly, at times, puts me to shame too Blush BTW thanks for the strike through tip..I'm such a duh..

OP posts:
Joelybear · 06/06/2011 23:55

Have now messed up forms for college application forms and can't word resignation letter right for DC1 and he MUST put in his resignation in the m orning.... there is no way he can return to work and his sick note will only last 4 weeks - his notice period ARRGH think I will sack myself right now.
Ten lycra for arms would be great + a brain for fme would be even better!!! LOL

Joelybear · 06/06/2011 23:57

Can't get anything right today!!! Confused, Sad Angry

WillIEverBeASizeTen · 06/06/2011 23:59

joely it's really late to be doing all that kinda stuff...my brain's switched off by 9am Grin...

What wording are you having trouble with?

OP posts:
WillIEverBeASizeTen · 07/06/2011 00:04

Oh my word...must go to bed...Joely hope you get the letter sorted..

Nite nite x

OP posts:
Joelybear · 07/06/2011 00:24

Ten my brain never switches off it just goes on to idol mode and I get more wound up instead of just turning it off - that is if I had a brain to start with. Me will still be here when daylight arrives I expect - good job I'm on a day off tomorrow - but have loads to do an need 36hours inthe day to fit everything in. Sure the right words will come by the morning.... else they'll find me slumped over the computer - which won't help my back either!!
Nite nite Ten and other late night owls

Joelybear · 07/06/2011 00:40

It's tomorrow!! Got the words right (Ithink)so can go to bed. Please note its before 1 am ((nearly an hour an a half before my normal bed time))a world record for me LOL Grin - so you right Ten tomorrow is better (so far anyway) Thanks

Joelybear · 07/06/2011 17:24

THC Should have said yesterday glad you had a good home visit. Great things are getting sorted for you and that you will be able to reach and do the things you need to do. Sounds as if others may have to kneel down to avoid back strain!! LOL You really have a great sense of humour which I guess is whats carried you through it all!!
Note to all - we have to join THC for release/escape from jail/hell hole/ hospital Let us know when the party is so we can join you.

Confession was later than ever going to bed as headed in to DC1's bedroom at 12.45am to say nite to him and came out at 3am!! he just needed time to talk and does that best at night when house is quiet. Great to have time with him, and I'm glad his back from his travels (I did miss him).

Today my head and mind is spinning with ex hassel and re thinking things - dangerous place to go, and I'm getting mad with myself cos of it!!

Hi to everyone else hope you all doin OK now kids back at school!
