Auntie, lol! - presume that means you are not coming over to see us in the morning

mygreatauntgriselda · 08/02/2009 19:19

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mygreatauntgriselda · 08/02/2009 19:32

PC - we said 9.30am though didn't we?

I have a problem now though as I have to go to Currys as well, as they have made a big balls up of out TV delivery and I only have 7 days to return the items and I have to see the manager...

PC could you txt me your address - R U still OK for tomorrow? Is DS recovered?

pcworld · 08/02/2009 19:47

Auntie - don't be - I was only pulling your leg! I can't always remember what day of the week it is these days (seriously) Why don't we just hook up at the Lollipop Club? Otherwise you are going to be doing too much running around on a precious "day off"!

mygreatauntgriselda · 08/02/2009 20:43

PC that would be great as I have to do some work from home as well as going to Curry to shout to the manager lol!

Look forward to seeing you there at 11ish

pcworld · 08/02/2009 20:48

Marvellous. See you there!

Need to scuttle off now, dh has told me that I am spending too much time on the internet and is banning me from using the computer post-7pm for an entire week!!!!

rosmerta · 09/02/2009 07:28

I have my tutorial today but I think my mum is going to take ds1 to lollipop today, so he can join in the mn gang that will be ruling lollipop!

MrsRecycle · 09/02/2009 07:30

cheeky mare pcw - you're only arranging your social life, having spent the past 2 weeks with a poorly ds! My dh used to moan but now he knows how to log-on he spends more than me on-line.

See you all at 11 - auntie hope you get your new telly sorted, currys are appaling aren't they? Mind you comet weren't much better.

SushiMummy · 09/02/2009 07:49

Morning all.

What a week it was! Started off the nursery being shut for two days due to severe weather (fair enough) then on Thursday, on the train to work, I had an urgent call from the nursery telling DS had been sick with diarrhea. I got off the train quickly, changed the platform to collect DS. No D&V the following two days then on Sat morning, DS came into our bedroom telling us he'd been sick in bed. (TMI alart, sorry) Anyway, DS better now, back at nursery and I have piles of work to tackle. [deep sigh]

Hope everyone is well.

sfxmum · 09/02/2009 08:59

good morning all

sushi that is awful hope this week goes better

think will have to dig out my cagoule and wellies but I have to get out of the house, had migraine during the night and dd kept waking up upset and insisting I slept with her, so I am all sore this morning, must get her to spend some energy

pcworld · 09/02/2009 09:04

Poor Sushi. That is stressful. Here's hoping for a better week for you. Had a rubbish night here, too so looking forward to getting out of the house this morning.

slng · 09/02/2009 09:27

Morning all!

Pretty wet morning eh?

I'm always all exhausted from the school run ... but three days' worth of work to catch up on from last week!!!

Our school is holding a parent governor election. I urge all banana republic representatives to come and observe. This morning a nominee collected the ballot papers.

Morning all

Sushi - what a dreadful week, let's hope things get back on track for you

I'm tired too, couldn't sleep til 1.30am. My own fault though, DH got me a big bar of dark Green & Blacks as a treat so I scoffed half of it around 9pm but it was too much of stimulant and I couldn't sleep even though I went to bed at 10pm Didn't think it would have that much of an effect

Sorry I can't join you at lollipop, already arranged for my neighbour to come over. Have fun though

mellow2 · 09/02/2009 09:53

Sushi,
Hope you have a better week [hugs]

Ok - we'll see everyone around 11am then.

sfxmum · 09/02/2009 09:56

slng LOL surely they are impeachable and of unquestionable character

SJ oh dark chocolate has caffeine had half a small bar last night, the chilli variety now in that tempting size and just a short walk away from my house

SJ99 · 09/02/2009 11:45

Yes I know there was caffiene in it but it doesn't normally keep me awake for so long, still, it was delicious!

mygreatauntgriselda · 09/02/2009 13:14

Hiya

Lovely to see you all this morning - sorry to have to run off the meet my "Man from Sky". He is installing our Sky HD now and has offered to set up the TV so we can watch it on its stand until we get it wall mounted (hopefully tomorrow night).
Big contrast between Sky custotomer service (fab) and Currys (dire)

SFX enjoyed that chat

Sushi sorry to hear about DS being so ill

SInsomnia is your punishment for enjoying too much chocolate!

stepfordwife · 09/02/2009 14:19

hi everyone
how you all diddling?
sushi, sorry to hear ds so ill. glad he's better now. and hope all poorly los now OK

auntie, is the TV sorted now?

well, was tempted to join you all at lollipop as haven't seen most of you for ages, but thought might be bit of a saddo as dd at nursery.

well, building work almost finished except for finishing patio and few more bits and pieces. yep, it's the dreaded snag list time
but have moved our stuff out of storage, SO

SJ - will have to arrange to bring over your boxes sometime (thanks again for lending them to us) and it'll be an excuse to meet ds2!

mrsR..how's buying that lovely house going?

well, my road meet-up went very well on friday. about 20 women turned up at the bar and everyone got pissed had a jolly time.
it was hangover city the next day and i reckon kids in our road got put to bed pretty damn early that evening
will make it a regular event, tho,..then summer picnic...street party....form a team for the olympics..
like a bit of community spirit..
right, better so some token useful chore before school pick-up
toodlepip

stepfordwife · 09/02/2009 14:20

..sorry, lots of wells in that post..
well, i'm sorry, all right

stepfordwife · 09/02/2009 14:23

oh, a friend of a friend is selling a very nice 2-bedroom victorian cottage in sunbury. so if you know anyone who maybe interested, give me a shout

sfxmum · 09/02/2009 14:43

hi all so glad so many of you turned up at lollipop very nice to see and chat to all however briefly

I just could not have stayed home today it would have been a long long day

steppie what a relief it must be to finally see the end of 'the works'

sfxmum · 09/02/2009 14:46

oh and SJ wasn't informing you of caffeine content, more like reminding myself oh doh that is why it was so hard to settle and it did my migraine no favours, still it was tasty

sfxmum · 09/02/2009 14:59

and the child continues eating sorry I am sure the novelty will wear off but seriously she hasn't really stopped yet

stepfordwife · 09/02/2009 16:50

sfx, dd and ds2 are both 'on a spurt" as ds2 puts it (no sniggering at the back). they're eating machines at mo..just like their mother..

thanks certainly is, but can't wait for it to be finished 'properly" ie; builders finished everything and not coming round at random times (but will miss them), so we can get on with enjoying it.
but will have a gathering when the dust settles and have unpacked...it's going to be all about - shudder - home entertainment as we sure as hell can't ever afford to go out again

mind you, dh and i are keen to see slumdog millionaire. anyone seen it?

sfxmum · 09/02/2009 17:34

gotta love the spurts

this weather calls for bangers and mash don't you think?
