SJ we went to Richmond to see Peter Pan I think it was the flying that did it
dd called grampa to say she had not been scared at all and Captain Hook was actually funny, must admit watching doing Michael Jackson's 'I'm bad' was very amusing

sfxmum · 04/01/2009 19:41

and speaking of babies there were 4 newborns around me at the theatre

rosmerta · 04/01/2009 19:49

Sfx, how was Bonnie?

Auntie, you're welcome round mine for a cuppa (and a newborn cuddle)!

Anyone about next week & fancy meeting up?

ComeOVeneer · 04/01/2009 20:06

Hi all. Ready for the school run tomorrow folks. I have another week before I have to start up again. DD will be taken and collected by a friend all week as ds has decided to get chicken pox this evening so no nursery for him, and all my plans are scuppered. Neveer mind he doesn't seem too ill and we managed xmas and ny first and at least it will be over and done with.

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 04/01/2009 21:51

CoV - hugs to your DS

Ros and SJ - oooh yes please! Will e-mail you both

SFX - LOL at the gag!! Gawd I haven't been to apanto for about 3 years and that was for a friend's 40th!!

QC - what is happening with cash flow at work then - you said you had to "scrape together" the Dec wages -

Is it tomorrow we take decorations down? Rang my friend in Majorca and sh said they have the Three Kings tomorrow, whih I think means its the 12th day of Christmas too lazy to count]

Have very foolishly arranged a houseful of 5/6 yer old girls tomorrow - well about 5 of them and one friend for DS1 (boys are rationed as they are noisy and DD nevr gets a treat)

Might be going to Andraxt in Majorca at half term for a few days with DD to see an old friend

SJ99 · 05/01/2009 16:55

Snow - DS1 asked to build a snowman, poor thing was gutted that it had all melted by the time we went out for walk

Sfx - IKWYM about early start, god knows how I'm going to get everybody ready and out of the house tom by 9.15 for preschool, will be a challenge. I have visions of just bundling everyone in the car and setting off in pjs's I think I will actually have to use my alarm clock

Will pass on night out as I might attempt to go to a friend's b'day drinks tom in Richmond, not sure I could do 2nights out so have fun ladies

ComeOVeneer · 05/01/2009 17:09

Kew have emailed you.

slng · 05/01/2009 19:49

Hi!

Got over most of my cold now, only the stuffed nose and sore throat left, so may contemplate going out on Friday ...

School starts tomorrow for us. Baked a milk loaf and got some smoked salmon for DS1's sandwiches. May as well start as we mean to continue!

sfx - forget about taking down Christmas decoration. When is the soonest you can get rid of noisy giant plastic Christmas gifts without being indecent?

sfxmum · 05/01/2009 20:27

oh dear had a call from my tutor kicking me in the behind gently encouraging me to actually finish the course this week

COV sorry missed post regarding ds hope he is ok and not too painful

slng lovely packed lunch still have a year for than one, hope you feel better soon

dh had is first day in new role/ job and seems slightly disturbed that people have been ''strangely nice to him'' Bless

ComeOVeneer · 05/01/2009 21:42

DS is decidely fine apart from the ever increasing development of non-itchy blisters, but they are spreading onto his eyelids and groin area . Do they start itching after a few days or is he just lucky?

SushiMummy · 06/01/2009 07:46

CoV - in my DS's case, the first spot appeard on Sat and quickly spread all over his body (yes, eyelids, groin inclusive) spots and temps peaked on the Wednesday. I seem to remember the ichy phase was towards the end. Hope your DS feels better soon.

QC - was lovely to see your DS and mum at M&S cafe yesterday.

Good morning, all.

rosmerta · 06/01/2009 07:56

Morning all, back to nursery for ds today, he doesn't seem upset about it thankfully!

Cov, hope ds gets better soon

Slng, hope your cold gets better soon as well. Packed lunch sounds nice, the only sandwiches ds will eat atm are dairylea ones

Right, must go fit the buggy bike

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 06/01/2009 08:36

BBBBrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

pcworld · 06/01/2009 09:20

Wah! Cold!! School run today!!! Don't think I'm up to this, have got far too used to staying at home Need to get motivated here. Off to make a quick lentil/chicken affair for tonight's dinner and then maybe I'll feel in control. Hopefully back here later for some chat! Hope all are ok.

ComeOVeneer · 06/01/2009 09:37

OMG it is cold! Car temp said -6oC . Beautiful clear blue sky though, shame we are stuck in with the pox. DS is feeling ok, no medication or calamine etc has needed to be administered yet, but he is already starting to suffer from cabin fever, as am I, and also sad that he can't see his friends and is missing out on nursery.

DH has (hopefully) taken Thursday off for dd's birthday, although we can't go anywhere, but will have a nice day anyway. We have had to postpone her party until the following weekend due to ds's pox, but that means her cousin can now come so she is a happy bunny.

sfxmum · 06/01/2009 10:03

good morning all

pcworld courage! have similar idea for dinner only lentil casserole thingy will do

Ros good to hear the return to nursery has been trouble free, have fingers crossed for tomorrow

I think this weather lessens my chance of a holiday to see the Northern Lights, dh not keen on the cold at all

cov yes as I recall hitching toward the end, all 3 sisters had it one after the other when we were in primary school

SJ99 · 06/01/2009 10:47

I love this weather! reminds of living in Sweden where it was much colder.

Cov - hope you find some ents for DS to take his mind of the pox

I was only 10mins late this monring, must remember to leave extra 10mins cushion PER CHILD, was about to set off when DS2 decided to do a poo, typical. DS1 a bit clingy but mostly happy to be at preschool, phew.

Slng - glad you're feeling better, nice packed lunch

PCworld/Sfx - must be lentil day, I've just taken some lentil bolognese I made earlier out of freezer to defrost for dinner!

KewcumbersRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 06/01/2009 12:33

sorry flying visit, the titanic work is manic.

I stop the steriods today (hooray) and now they watch and wait...

ComeOVeneer · 06/01/2009 13:09

Fingers crossed it goes well Kew. DS has finally fallen asleep in my bed, he is starting to feel rather unwell and looks a sight!

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 06/01/2009 13:26

Kew [hugs] to your platelets from now on

CoV has DD had the pox then?

Just hadf a can of parsnip, butternut squash and ginger soup for lunch at work - very nice

Tonight working 'til 6.30pm ythen have to:

shop on way home
take decs down
phone new cleaner to ensure she comes tomorrow
get kids to bed early
find the school uniforms and PE kits and hang clothes out
get pack lunches ready

Ooooh I don't want to be a super woman, just thinking about it makes me want to lie down...

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 06/01/2009 13:27

Oh and cook dinner of course...
