Hello

OP posts:
PaddlePig · 28/08/2008 20:29

sausage, i am collecting dd from the GPs on Saturday I'm afraid. Hence my Brighton plan for Sunday.

Will probably end up swimming tho LOL

Kewcumber · 28/08/2008 20:37

Sushi - when do you want to come round?

slng · 28/08/2008 21:00

I'm confused - what are plans for Saturday? Is everyone going to Brighton?

Kewcumber · 28/08/2008 21:08

not me - I'll have done my share of driving on Friday!

SJ99 · 28/08/2008 21:09

I wouldn't mind going to Brighton but will see how I'm feeling on Sat as am pretty knackered this week. Hopefully I'll sleep better the next few nights (off to bed soon!)

SBS no couply plans on Sat, but as DH away I'm unlikely to escape for the night. What did you have in mind?

KC - glad you're not B&Bing. In that case you might as well stay in Family camping as it's the closest to the arena - they do have hot showers and flushable loos in there

Kewcumber · 28/08/2008 21:10

yes but I have no tent etc and have no intention of buying one!

SJ99 · 28/08/2008 21:16

You could hijack Paddle's campervan?

bunyanvillas · 28/08/2008 21:21

OMG back from Bournemouth and knackered! Was great, apart from the company of (apparently) 100,000 members of the general public on the beach there to watch a massive air show which of course we had no idea was on!!!!

We might be around for Kew tomorrow, depending on how everyone is here. Will check MN/text in the morning. So - Brighton on Sat then? We may have recovered then and be ready for more!!

Ros, Tana is ok but a couple of the recipes are so average I'm not sure whether she should leave the cooking to her husband!

Want to move to the New Forest now. Off to check Rightmove

So, Sausage - gearing up for your birthday pageant, then?

OP posts:
sillybigsausage · 28/08/2008 21:22

SJ/Kew - fooood in evening? (but not me cooking - no way Hose!)!!!! (for my Bday that is|)

LOL at B&B at Latitude Kew we are seriously thinking about Latitude for next year, or rather I am but haven't told DH yet!!!

The parking in Hove is on all those roads leading off from the seafront "First Avenue, 2nd Ave etc" - very convenient

Right, still at work so off I must pop!!

sillybigsausage · 28/08/2008 21:23

Bunyan how clever of you to plan your Bomo visit for the day of such a big event LOL!!

Glad you had a nice time!

bunyanvillas · 28/08/2008 21:27

I know! This is the person who also accidentally ended up in Brighton on the day of the momentous Fatboy Slim concert a few years ago lol! Great idea re: Hove parking, Sausage and is duly noted. So - 21 again on Sat, eh?

OP posts:
slng · 28/08/2008 21:45

sausage - dh out Saturday evening otherwise would love to come out to play.

Kewcumber · 28/08/2008 22:33

sausage - did you read the bit where I said I had no babysitter and would thereofre have to bring DS with me - am quite prepared to do that but would probably leave at about 9pm - I'll leave it up to you to decide if you think thats the worst idea you ever heard! No offence if you prefer not!

Kewcumber · 28/08/2008 22:34

or thinkingabou it - you could come to my house and we could order take-away...

Kewcumber · 28/08/2008 22:40

Just tracked down a long time colleague of mine as I thought I'd seen him in Kew a few times (last seen 10 years ago in Marlow with wife and two children). Found him on Facebook and messaged each otehr - apparently he is living around the corner to me, divorced and happily living with his new partner Andrew

sillybigsausage · 28/08/2008 23:07

LOL Kew - good reason to divorce (i.e. one realises one is actually gay!)

Very kind offer for Saturday - have asked a couple of other friends so will wait to see how many reply then let you now (they are my bookclub so very civilised!!)

Or maybe we coud go to the new lebanese on Sandycombe Rd - will your DS eat pitta bread, hummous etc? Very happy for you to bring him as long as I don't have to bring mine!!! (acually would rather like to ring DD as she is very well behaved and loves a girly treat - she could fuss over your DS)

Bunyan - I am sooo old now I oftn forget exactly how old - just hitting "middle teens" I think

sillybigsausage · 28/08/2008 23:09

BTW Sun newspapers £9.50 holiday tokens start again this Saturday for anyone interested in collecting for a mega cheap mini break!!!!!

sfxmum · 28/08/2008 23:13

hello all

SBS you young person you, dh will be working Saturday so I expect he will not be too keen on being left alone with dd

Bunyan glad you had a nice time. please get help for that property search habit of yours

KC you cab borrow my tent it is nice and easy to put up

susiecutiebananas · 29/08/2008 00:41

hello all

I'm afraid I've done a terrible double book thing tomorrow. Its the rarest thing ever for me to have the opportunity for more than one thing on at once ! I'd already made arrangements to go with my friend to kew ( originally with a free pass of hers) so, we are going to aim to still do that. She's not been too well this week so might not feel up to it & we'll stay at hers. SO i'm really sorry, but I can't meet you guys. UNLESS we do go to Kew, in which case i'd love to see you somewhere there too!

really sorry though. This never happens to me. Was so looking forward to meeting those i've not already. i'll text SFX though to see if you all do still go, and if we do, then we could catch up too.

Sorry, waffle waffle waffle...

Paddle - STEP AWAY FROM THE SCISSORS!!! her hair is just gorgeous and must be left

Of course, what ever you decide to do, there will be plenty of moral support from this direction that said, I'd hate it if you moved now!!!

Sorry it's got too late and I'm really tired, waffled on far too much, no more personals....

Take care all, and still looking forward to seeing you all!

mellow2 · 29/08/2008 08:19

Don't worry susie. We'll see you next time.

Sfx - It looks a bit of grim today. Should we come round to yours instead of Kew?

SJ99 · 29/08/2008 08:39

Hello all

That's a pity Susie, another time. I'm still heading to Kew to collect freecycle this morning - can then turn left and go to Gardens or can come to yours Sfx, up to you?

Kew - your friend, I thought that only happened in films

bunyanvillas · 29/08/2008 08:51

Think I'll stay away this morning, have picked up a rotten cold and don't want to pass it on to any of you or your dcs. What a nuisance. Thank goodness dh is off and so I am "allowed" to be ill!

OP posts:
SJ99 · 29/08/2008 08:55

Bunyan - hope you feel better soon, make sure you have your feet up and have lots of cups of tea brought to you!

sfxmum · 29/08/2008 09:29

good morning all

sorry not ignoring anyone just woke up

what time would you be thinking? slightly bleary eyed person asking

bunyan hope you feel better soon

KC at least he found out with time to spare hope the wife isn't too distraught I wonder what is easier another woman or a bloke

mellow2 · 29/08/2008 09:34

Would 11 am be okay? I'll bring the bag along.
