Hello

OP posts:
PaddlePig · 28/08/2008 16:45

does anyone need a trainer seat or potty coz i have both that are now redundant!

sj, you can once you've produced SJ#2

d'you think your DH would be interested tho?

PaddlePig · 28/08/2008 16:47

kew, that seems steep. i paid £224 all up for my tix last december when they went on pre-sale.

i guess they are cashing in on the popularity this year and selling now at 2008 prices.

i can't afford that at the moment

Kewcumber · 28/08/2008 16:47

is it a padded trianer seat Paddle cos I'd quite like one of those, the trainers I have seem too small for DS and yet the toilet seat is really too big for him. I want him to be able to go to the toilet on his own but he's struggling bit even with a step with the type of trianer seat we have.

Should really get one of the nice expensive dual seat type but am too tight

PaddlePig · 28/08/2008 16:49

don't forget to get DS's ticket which I see they are going to chage nearly £5 to post. Along with the nearly £5 to post your adult ticket too.

I doubt it actually costs more than a single first class stamp!!!!

Don't forget to book a FAMILY camping ticket too!

Kewcumber · 28/08/2008 16:50

was that £224 for two people and a (free) child then?

I have to pay new mortgage arrangement fee two filling and a kind of crown in Sept. Think I am going to have to dip into savings which I try to never do as I don't really have enough! Another £130 seems to be not very much when tacked on so I thought it might be psychologically a good time to buy.

PaddlePig · 28/08/2008 16:53

no sorry it's the Tesco cheepo type

PaddlePig · 28/08/2008 16:54

yep i bought 2 adult tix.

i think it's an excellent psychology. i did same last december as was flashing cash all over the place with the move and I just tacked Latitude on!

Kewcumber · 28/08/2008 16:55

so inform me - do you rneed to buy a festival ticekt for £130 PLUS a family camping ticket at £130 PLUS (in my case) pay £110 for a tangerine tenty thing? Thast heading for an expensive weekend! Or Does the family Camping ticket include the festival ticket?

mellow2 · 28/08/2008 17:03

SJ and Ros - It was nice to see you earlier

SJ - Ros and I got our Pottete Plus at Mothercare.

sfxmum · 28/08/2008 17:04

KC the family camping ticket is just so you now where to stay only people with children are allowed in that particular field.

we will not be booking tickets although I imagine they would not be hard to sell

I heard they are keeping the numbers close to last year an capping attendance, which is good would hate it to be big.

and KC you can go from Thursday to Monday.

paddle will email later or tomorrow
I have got a date tonight but I will probably fall asleep at the movie

PaddlePig · 28/08/2008 17:04

On your link you will see several ticket options which I think are Adult Camping, Adult Family Camping, Child.

You must buy Adult Family Camping £137 and Child £0

This gives you the option of actually camping in Family Camping should you ditch the Tangerine Fields idea.

It costs nothing more and the "camping" is included in the cost of your festival ticket.

I believe that once you've got your ticket reference you can then book via Tangerine Fields.

sfxmum · 28/08/2008 17:06

I mean no the family camping ticket includes festival of course

but if you go to tangerine you don't need family ticket because you will not be having access to family field as you would be staying at Tangerine

but you can still go to the kids field for entertainment

sfxmum · 28/08/2008 17:07

or that

mellow2 · 28/08/2008 17:08

Have fun, sfx.

PaddlePig · 28/08/2008 17:08

So £137 for Festival and £110 for Tangerine Fields luxury tent

SFX, have a lovely evening.

I am going home shortly to do more jobs.

Fourth night dd free and one more to go and I cannot believe that I have not organised a single social thing apart from training last night!

I feel like I should be making a social effort but I really don't want to tbh.

Got more de-cluttering to do so will scurry off home to do it!

I get extreme moments of missing dd but mostly I am quite sanguine about it. I am looking forward to seeing her but I am not looking forward to the responsiblity again.

Is that bad? Am I shite parent?

Oh dear.............

sfxmum · 28/08/2008 17:12

sounds normal to me paddle get some rest while you can

slng · 28/08/2008 18:21

Kew - re toilet seat we've got the mothercare one. DS1 still uses it and DS2 uses it on his own too.

SJ99 · 28/08/2008 18:36

Paddle - thanks for offer of toilet stuff but have stocked up, now just got to get DS to use it all, the easy part, right?
BTW Just got an email from DH, he's up for it, just tell us what to do!

Kew - you could also check out B&B's in the area if you don't fancy camping, might work out cheaper than Tangerine fields. I imagine they get booked up quite early though.

Sfx - enjoy tonight

What is plan for tom then? Turns out freecycle lady said I can collect her stuff tom so will need to go there first in Kew but could get to Kew Gardens 10.30-11am ish if that's ok with everyone. Who is going - Sfx, Mellow & Susie, anyone else? Looking forward to meeting you Susie

rosmerta · 28/08/2008 18:59

Unfortunately, can't join you all tomorrow. Any further plans for Saturday? Must admit, I'm quite keen on the idea of Brighton for the day, especially as I'll take ds on the train so even more of an adventure

sillybigsausage · 28/08/2008 20:13

Feck it I cannot keep up with you Wimmin!!!!

Paddle DO NOT cut your DD's hair - pleeeeeeeeeeze!!! No, No, No!

Big Hugs to your sore bum!!

Bunyan - oooh I lurve Bomo - haven't been there in ages

The toruble is with going to Brighton on Sunday is that the forecast is a scotrcher for Saurday and rain on Sunday!!

Kew - parking in Brighton is so easy - or should I say parking in Hove, about .25 of a mile from Brighton peer is easy, easy and very cheap. All the road have pay parking which is 80p for 24 hours!

I would touch Brighton Town Centre parking with a barge pole.

The trick is to arrive early (say before 10.30am)when you can choose where to park, and leave early (by about 3pm). Then its easy to park and you don't hit the mass exodus which blocks all the roads from about 3.30/4pm.

Takes 1hr 15 minutes door to door from Kew

Anyway Grrls its my Birthday on Saturday and I am half considering doing something (meaning food probably) - anyone around or are you all doing ghastly coupley things?

sillybigsausage · 28/08/2008 20:14

That should have read : "I would NOT touch Brighton Town Centre parking with a barge pole." LOL

rosmerta · 28/08/2008 20:18

lol sbs, I thought you were talking about Brighton for Saturday though!

But am around anyway on Saturday, have my nephew staying so dh & him are off to Thorpe Park on Saturday. Didn't think ds would be so entertained there!

Kewcumber · 28/08/2008 20:21

obviously won't be doing any ghastly coule things but equally have no babysitting so depends how early you're going to start and whetehr you want a little visitor too!

Kewcumber · 28/08/2008 20:24

my bestie friend lives in hove - never seen 80p for 24hr parking near her!

have thought about B&B for latitude but tbh if I'm going to do a festival think I should actually be onsite and I can't imagine it being much fun dragging DS back to a B&B every night on my own.

PaddlePig · 28/08/2008 20:29

kew, you must absolutely camp! it's all part of the fun and remember ds will be that bit older and more able to stay up and enjoy the evening part of the festival.
