Hello

OP posts:
Paddlechick666 · 11/09/2008 15:09

i found Isle School of Dance in St Johns Rd. They only do modern and tap on a Saturday morning and it's £5 a go with 3 trial sessions so I think I'll take her there.

I am an indulgent mother and can refuse my child nothing. She wants to dance, what can I say? The kid got talent !!!

Can i join in the flashmob on South Bank next week?

dd also loves TTWCTT but 26/27th is allegedly an access weekend for H.

sfxmum · 11/09/2008 15:10

mrsR have emailed you

about Indy yes thinking of her only hear from her briefly a couple of weeks back must ring again

SJ quite a laugh isn't it?

rosmerta · 11/09/2008 15:13

sfx

I haven't spoken to 2cute in a few weeks, since her last posts, I think she's still finding it hard & I got the impression that she will be in touch when she's ready again.

Paddlechick666 · 11/09/2008 15:14

i texted 2cute yesterday but haven't heard back.

diddidance? will check it out. ta

MrsRecycle · 11/09/2008 15:15

got it sfx! Thanks.

MrsRecycle · 11/09/2008 15:18

Paddle - just had a call from the welfare lady at dd2's school - some older girls have been scaring her about decapatation so she's warned me its likely to be a restless night tonight. I then told her about what she did to your poor dd's doll at the weekend and asked her if we were talking about the same girl.

Kewcumber · 11/09/2008 15:21

PAddle maybe DH could bring her?

Paddlechick666 · 11/09/2008 15:28

OMG MrsR! Hope she's ok.

I just missed an excellent scooter on ebay because bigfoot are delivering my mail with several hours delay

Diddidance looks great but it's weekday stuff again. I need a Saturday morning class.

Kew, yeh will encourage H to take her himself. I will go and drink coffee and read teh newspapers!

MrsRecycle · 11/09/2008 16:32

She's fine - have tried to not bring it up. Said I would let her go to sleep with Peter Pan on tonight if she gets too upset (bad mom alert!).

That is appaling with bigfoot - if you want me to bid on something, let me know.

rosmerta · 11/09/2008 16:47

MrsR, glad she doesn't seem too scared!

I am starting to wonder if my plan to travel with ds by train was a good idea!

sillybigsausage · 11/09/2008 17:01

Decapitation?

Mellow - I'm glad you asked that question. It means "a Mother I would like to F*"

So much more meaningful than "yummy mummy"

Paddle - Sunday is due to be dry with sun and broken clouds

slng · 11/09/2008 17:04

Hello all!

Is it weekend yet? I'm exhausted.

DS1 brought back a "book" from school to read and he has to "tell the story". I really don't fancy doing anything in English with him ... It's just all going to eat into our Chinese time, isn't it? Why do we need homework? What do they do all day in school anyway?

MrsR, Paddle - what's bigfoot? Has there been an infestation of abominable snowmen!?

slng · 11/09/2008 17:06

sausage - there's meaningful and there's meaningful. Frankly I'm shocked.

sfxmum · 11/09/2008 17:09

about decapitation I remember I had an illustrated Bible with a graphic depiction of the beheading of John the Baptist, I was scared of that page and my mum ripped it off

we were also regularly taken to see films about the fiery pits of hell were we would end up if we kept to our harlot sinful tendencies
(primary school)

after that, by comparison most things were quite tame

sfxmum · 11/09/2008 17:12

M&S are doing their £10 thingy again might do that tomorrow

mrsR I hope your dd will be ok

rosmerta · 11/09/2008 17:26

I never get to take advantage of that £10 deal, dh is so fussy about what he eats!

ComeOVeneer · 11/09/2008 17:40

What's the £10 deal? Had a lovely day today. Ds at nursery all day, dd at school, my parents came up for lunch then surprised both children by picking them up and staying for a couple of hours, mum cooked for them and have just left.

Now have to start getting my head around this charity do in Covent garden to be ready by Wednesday.

SFX sorry to hear about family troubles.

Sausage (good on you!)

Ros hope train journey goes well.

Paddle sorry yet more stress for you, are things quiet(ish) at home? Fingers crossed for the promotion.

Have we made any progress on a meet up?

MrsRecycle · 11/09/2008 17:44

Wow sfx that must have been shocking for you as a child - I grew up with my GPs and they turned off the TV whenever a couple kissed so I had a very sheltered upbringing - don't know where I went wrong though

Ros, how about packing a small bag of some of his favourite toys and wrapping them up. After every 15 mins (or when he gets bored) let him unwrap another toy. There will also be lots for him to look out of the window - when ds gets bored, I always start pretending I've seen something to divert his attention.

Looks like its going to be just me and ds on Saturday. Car still isn't fixed, dh is working in Devon so is going to take the dds with him.

mellow2 · 11/09/2008 18:10

sausage -

sj - Btw, the water filter works really well. My tap water tastes like expensive bottled water now. The only thing is that the rubber washer provided does not fit our faucet properly so there is a bit of a leak. It might fit your tap perfectly.

rosmerta · 11/09/2008 18:42

Thanks MrsR, I'm hoping my bag of tricks & food will do the trick. He was fine when we did it last year so I'm probably panicking for nothing!

SJ99 · 11/09/2008 18:43

Thanks Mellow - could you remind me which one you bought? Nice talking to you earlier, forgot to mention that DS keeps talking about mini Mellow

What is £10 deal? Something I might be interested in?

Cov - good luck for CG event, v. exciting for you

Paddle - enjoy vanfest

sillybigsausage · 11/09/2008 18:52

SFX - at fiery pits etc!!!

Mellow - yes I was quite flattered LOL!!!

CoV - M&S dine out for £10 - you wouldn't need that my dear - you can cook lovely food

Ros _ I am fussy what I eat too - has to be M&S or Waitrose

sillybigsausage · 11/09/2008 18:53

Paddle will pencil you in for next weekend and nag you nearer the date

MrsR at you having the DCs go away for a few days

missEdith · 11/09/2008 19:05

you lot did not go to Catholic school did you? plus the Mediterranean/ south European has taste for the macabre.

COV good luck for the Covent Garden event

Ros good luck with the trip dd loves trains but hates sitting down for longer than ten minutes

sfxmum · 11/09/2008 19:07

bugger sorry must stop being naughty
