Hello

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 11/09/2008 11:35

let us know what time and one of us can ring you with an emergency whcih will require immediate action if its not going well

sfxmum · 11/09/2008 11:38

a cunning plan

sister and auntie will be here too so will let them get on with it, the flaw being my sister is even less diplomatic than I am

what have I done! maybe it is a sunny day and I can ship them all to Kew

rosmerta · 11/09/2008 11:57

sfx, at least it will be over & done with.

Someone in my street has started playing very loud music every day, only problem is I can't figure out which house it is to tell them to turn it off . As soon as I get outside I can't hear it but the bass is reverberating through the house

Kewcumber · 11/09/2008 12:11

"maybe it is a sunny day" ha ha ha ha ha ha roflmao ha ha

sfxmum · 11/09/2008 12:11

that is so annoying there is some idiot in a midlifecrisismobile who blasts bass as he drives past. it is one of those stupid cars with doors that open upwards

what has happen to doctors surgeries? apparently mine only do pre book appointments between 8-9 and late in the evening everything else is book on the day
mutter mutter old person style

sfxmum · 11/09/2008 12:12

it might happen KC it might happen

rosmerta · 11/09/2008 12:45

I went to the house I thought the music was coming from and asked them if they were playing any music, they said no but now its stopped

Just realised, must pack. Ds & I are off to my parents tomorrow on the train! Dh did say I shouldn't mention that he would be at home alone as it would be too much of a temptation for you all, who says he doesn't have an ego?

Paddlechick666 · 11/09/2008 13:03

is it wrong to compile a "wish list" on Amazon for dd's birthday & xmas presents?

I am thinking people could just use it for ideas if they don't actually want to buy it from Amazon.

I must admit to having gone a bit bonkers with it LOL.

Must start thinking about Xmas.

saw boss today, he thinks promotion will be soon. thank god because i am spending money like water at the mo. car bill, car tax, kitchen re-fit etc etc.

hello everyone!

SBS, am away this weekend but will try next weekend.

mellow2 · 11/09/2008 13:16

Paddle - No, not wrong at all. I have a birthday/Xmas gift list for GPs complete with online and brick and mortar shops to buy it from. Apparently I pick obscure toys for dd that are not available at Toys R Us.

sfxmum · 11/09/2008 13:19

paddle I have a wishlist too which inlaws find very convenient at Christmas and birthday, so soon afterwards no shame and I get what want

rosyess

dd was cheerful and had eaten all her food, it helped that it was pasta and she her favourite carer next to her, huge relief

rosmerta · 11/09/2008 13:43

sfx, glad dd perked up. Btw, is the eyebrow lift for the music, dh or both?

Paddle, definitely go with the wish list. We've found unless we specify exactly what to get its never quite right and ends up not been used.

Kewcumber · 11/09/2008 13:45

I like wishlists - far better to get someone something they want - only problme if they don;t get it on Amazon is that it doesn't disappear from the wishlist and you might get several! However in my experience Amazon prices are pretty good so its not like having a list at Harrods!

sfxmum · 11/09/2008 13:53

no idea of your dh's skills Ros so would not like to comment

SJ99 · 11/09/2008 14:25

Hello all

Yes I do the lists for relatives too if they ask, it's just easier I suppose esp if they haven't seen DS for a while and don't know what toys he already has or what he's into.

Sfx - good luck for meeting godmother, safety in numbers eh? Glad miniSfx had a better time today.

Ros - enjoy your trip away

Tried new playgroup, it was bit too regimented for my liking but DS seemed to enjoy it and it has the beauty of being 10mins walk from my house so will be perfect for coming months when I will be too tired or it will be too wet/cold to venture afar

sfxmum · 11/09/2008 14:33

dd has asked to go swimming tomorrow, does anyone want to join us for incentive sake? not too keen myself

SJ group sounds convenient, I have seen parent walking children to the Gymnastic association right behind the primary school, does any one know if they do groups there? or maybe classes of some kind?

Paddlechick666 · 11/09/2008 14:38

oh good, glad lists are in use with others.

just thought it was a bit cheeky using Amazon especially as the charge of delivery etc.

I might just use it as a reference list tho and ask people to tell me if htey have bought one of the suggestions and i will remove it myself.

we're off to vanfest tomorrow. forecast is not good! will be waterproofs and wellies all the way LOL.

pre-school cannot change dd's day at the mo but we are on the waiting list.

btw, anyone know of a good place for dd to start ballet classes? criteria are: cheap and cheerful nothing too intense and from 3yrs.

TIA

Kewcumber · 11/09/2008 14:44

sorry Paddle DS not very into ballet (yet!) but those who might be interested put atrytots in your diary for Sat 27 Sept The Tiger Who Came To Tea (don;t ask me what they make!) I'll probably take DS he loves the story.

sfxmum · 11/09/2008 14:49

what is artytots? dd loves the story

paddle are you surrendering to the girly pinkness? the only ballet I know is by Kew bridge, somehow don't think it will be too cheap, Netmums is good for that kind of thing

rosmerta · 11/09/2008 14:49

Paddle, don't know anything specifc sorry. I'm sure there are plenty of dance schools around who will do classes though.

sfx

rosmerta · 11/09/2008 14:51

kew, TTWCTT is also on at Richmond Theatre in Oct!

Kewcumber · 11/09/2008 14:52

oh I'd forgotten about that - I wonder if they have tickets left - I hate their seats though my knees can;t bear them.

Kewcumber · 11/09/2008 14:53

www.artytots.co.uk/2.html pay as you go

sfxmum · 11/09/2008 14:55

MrsRecycle · 11/09/2008 15:02

paddle - if my memory serves me right, I saw a list of classes at the place the 2Cute's ds had his birthday party. Just can't remember the name of the venue doh.

How is 2Cute - its a year isn't it? Hope she is holding up ok.

SJ99 · 11/09/2008 15:06

Sfx - sounds like a laugh!

Was thinking about 2cute the other day, hope she is ok
