Hello

OP posts:
sillybigsausage · 07/09/2008 12:06

SFX my DH at work today too

Was very good last night and went to Church and then for a swim. The pool was empty - a bit spooky really as there are no life guards so I started imagining a mad person coming in and drowing me and the staff finding me when they came to lock up at 10pm

Then this guy got in for a swim and I felt really nervous of him LOL!! Poor chap was probably more scared of me!

SJ - your DH in Bristol still then? Ay news of when that will end

Your anniversary day out sunds lovely

BTW I heard from XoXo - her PG-cy is going well

sfxmum · 07/09/2008 13:39

SBS over active imagination

slow slow day here zero motivation should pull up the wellies and go find puddle sometime soon

bunyanvillas · 07/09/2008 15:02

SJ, do not recommend No Country for Old Men. I absolutely hated it - and I'm a Cormac McC plus Coen bros fan. Ending was terrible! But that's just my view DH is currently reading the book and enjoying it. Hope all ok, rubbish day here just not getting it together at all. Off now to play some sort of game involving plastic dolphins!

evening all, happy anniversary SJ!

well we've had an extremely busy few days.
did bocketts farm on friday and dd wasn't asleep till 9pm then up again early saturday

headed off to sheen and had a Waitrose car park dilemma, thanks for steppie for the guidance and lively to see ya luv!

found perfect (47 quid ) shoes for dd but not right size. then took 2 hours to get to canary wharf to say farewell to yet more friends going back to NZ. it was lovely to see lots of old friends that i've not seen for ages but really quite sad to say goodbye and there were tears.

spent last night chez MrsR. i tell ya people, it's fabulous. pizza and ice cream and wine and all the kids were very well behaved. mrsr's dd's scared me to death watching KingKong (it was NOT nicole kidman dd1!!!) and i changed a boy nappy!!

once again dd up till gone 10pm and awake at 6:45 grrrr.

headed home via ealing to find the shoes with no joy so off to putney. finally managed to get them and picked up some yummy lamb roast ingredients so that's what i'm up to now.

think dd and i will share a bath and go to bed together tonight LOL.

btw, the cooked brekkie at chez MrsR is also extremely good

stepfordwife · 07/09/2008 17:22

lively to see you too, paddle and mini-paddle
trust you didn't get a parking fine...
well done on changing the boy nappy (far less complicated, dontcha think?)

happy anniversary for yesterday, SJ

lol at spooking swimming, sausage

have had a fairly quiet weekend and hardly seen my boys all weekend. they were lording it in a hospitality box at twickers yesterday, today they've been at rugby/shopping with dh and ds1 is now out swimming with a friend.

feel cheated i haven't seen them and don't want them to go to school tomorrow. ach well, dd has been stuck to me like a limpet most of the time...

wow! that sounds fantastic chez-MrsR..my fave combo vino and pizza..

felt very virtuous decluttering dh's cooking stuff..he's not impressed.
have a good evening, all
toodlepip

rosmerta · 07/09/2008 17:54

hi all, busy day here too. Church & swimming this morning, then Brentford Festival this afternoon which was quite good, managed not to spend too much money! I think I'm more tired than ds now lol!

sillybigsausage · 07/09/2008 18:19

Hi Bunyan [waves]

Have seen the "Old Men" film but am reading loads of Rose Tremaine atm - fabby writer!

SFX it managed not to rain today - yipee!

sillybigsausage · 07/09/2008 18:34

Paddle - sounds like a lovely weekend - although just reading about it makes me want to lie down

Did you buy DDs shoes in One Big Giant Step shoe shop or whatever its called? Its very good isn't it

Ros - you are about to steal my virtuous "excercisin' and prayin'" crown!

How was the Brentford Fest? At least it didn't rain today eh?

Steppy - sounds like a lovely day sans les menfolk!!

I soooo much need a sans les DCs day right now, just to tidy the house!

Am off to see my friend tomorrow - 72 years old and living in Andratch (think of a Spanish Richmond Hill, by the sea with fantastic weather and on-tap Tapas) in Mallorca, in a luxury apartment overlooking her pool, with the toyboy she met on a Saga Singles holiay!!!

There is hope for us all!

Oh meeting her in Mortlake BTW, not Mallorca!!

rosmerta · 07/09/2008 18:55

sbs, for a second there I thought you were off to Mallorca, oh well! And no, I'm not trying to steal your crown, dh & ds were swimming, I watched from the cafe with my chocolate muffin & cup of tea . Today was family mass so there was tea & coffee afterwards as well, nice to meet some of the other mums who go to the church.

sillybigsausage · 07/09/2008 18:59

LOL Ros!!!

Is DS going to a faith school?

rosmerta · 07/09/2008 19:01

Yes he is (fingers crossed), its the Catholic one round the corner from us, we're about 3rd on the criteria list. We try to go every week and will certainly have to step it up over the next few weeks so the priest will sign the form for us!

sillybigsausage · 07/09/2008 19:04

Wink Wink

SJ99 · 07/09/2008 19:22

Thanks Steppie & Paddle
Paddle - pretty jam packed wkend for you both. How is kitchen designing coming on? Sounds fab at MrsR's

Steppie - hope you enjoyed your wkend too having lots of girl fun

Bunyan - hope your day improved, how was dolphin game?

SBS - bizarre that no life guards present Have fun with your friend

Ros- glad you enjoyed the fair, did DS go on many rides?

Sfx/Bunyan - I like Coen bros too but didn't know if I'd get spooked watching it by myself. Oh well decision made for me as DH wants to watch film next wkend instead so will annoyingly have to take it back get it out again next wkend.

Feeling v DH just left for the last time for Bristol, part of me won't believe til he's finsihed there til happens though, there have been too many promises broken on that front by his employer

sfxmum · 07/09/2008 19:32

hi we ended up staying in pyjamas all day munching chocolate cookies doing painting and drawing

plan on Kew tomorrow as the only moderately promising day of the week

SBS I like your friend she told me smelled lovely when I was wearing my favourite perfume such a sucker for flatery

sfxmum · 07/09/2008 19:33

paddle sounds like a great weekend

Ros making friends with the padre
I hope it is a nice church

sillybigsausage · 07/09/2008 19:58

SFX I forgot you'd met her!!

She's great fun

Your day sounds fabulous!

rosmerta · 07/09/2008 20:15

Sj, actually he didn't, he went on the bouncy castle but the woman gave us our money back after he got off after about 10secs! And then he went on the merry go round but that was it. We did end up with a giant inflatable hammer though

Sfx, it is a nice church, the mums we met this morning were very friendly. I think a couple of their dcs will be starting nursery with ds next Sept so it would be nice for him to know a couple of people as well.

sfxmum · 07/09/2008 20:23

LOL at giant hammer last time with us it was a giant Dora the explorer

I must go to the next open day for dd's prospective school and do my best to be nice would that help?

Kewcumber · 07/09/2008 21:43

padre's back away from me waving their crosses.

sillybigsausage · 07/09/2008 23:07

I think they would back away from Ros too if she is waving her giant inflatable hammer at them

rosmerta · 08/09/2008 08:34

I'm so fed up of waking up to grey mornings, just doesn't give me any enthusiasm to go outside at all.

Paddlechick666 · 08/09/2008 08:44

morning all, true to form dd has to be shoe horned out of bed after being up before 6:45am both Sat & Sun!

i took myself to bed at 9pm last night with a book as i was so tired.

Asbo boy is back again, woken at 11:15pm by loud music etc. thumped on the floor and went back to sleep, only to be woken again at 1:30am.

honestly, i'm beginning to think they must have "done" something to their property that makes noise travel. like taking their ceilings down or something. surely it is not normal to be able to hear every word of a converstation never mind when they shout/argue etc.

i might even ring the housing partnership and ask them about it......

kitchen planning is continuing, must check out MFI today. MrsR if you're about could you send those details over for the guy who could do the fitting? TVM.

SBS, yeh One Small Step is my favourite shoe shop but we only go once a year in Sept. DD's New Year shoes are generally sourced in the sales.

Happy Monday everyone!

SJ99 · 08/09/2008 09:16

Happy Monday indeed!

I had a rubbish night's sleep, kept waking every other hr of course was fast asleep when DS woke this morning

Must go to said shoe shop this week and try and get some new shoes for DS.

Ros - LOL at hammer! Maybe you could lend it to Paddle to bop her neighbours.
I feel the same, have no inspiration to do anything today, might stay home and do crafts

sfxmum · 08/09/2008 09:23

good morning all

not much sleep here either dd's cold turned into cough which kept waking her up and of course me, she wanted me in her room but not so much in her bed suggested I take the bean bag

winter shoes yes annual pilgrimage to expensive shoe shop is due

paddle wouldn't put it past them maybe it is a very bare house with holes on the walls

SJ I hope you manage a nap
hope everyone is ok

MrsRecycle · 08/09/2008 09:26

Happy Monday everyone. Happy Anniversay SJ.

Paddle - thank you so so much for Saturday night - glad you enjoyed yourself and weren't poisoned by dh's brekkie! Got my iphone yesterday and trying to set it up in between trying to toilet train ds. Sorry to hear about asbo's back to normal again - on a Sunday evening as well. Will get no off dh re kitchen. Oh my phone is not working at the mo (being unlocked).

Right off to check on ds...talk later..
