Hello

OP posts:
rosmerta · 05/09/2008 18:19

ds seems entranced by Andy Pandy, oh dear

bunyanvillas · 05/09/2008 18:45

SFX - your dd must be knackered! Was lovely to catch up. dd told me, en route home, that she wished she could sleep in a bed beside your dd tonight Am v excited re: tomorrow morning - thinking coffeeshop/guardian for circa one hour followed by light shopping to try and improve one's image for the coming season

For anyone at a loose end, I see that Kew fair is on tomorrow/Sun. How many fairs does Kew have fgs?! Think we'll be giving this one a miss, I'm all faired out for the time being, plus - the weather!!!

OP posts:
rosmerta · 05/09/2008 18:55

bunyan, I'm guessing you've got a babysitter tomorrow am?!

sfxmum · 05/09/2008 19:09

it was interesting watching the different games played with boys and girls

lets play princesses oh yes lets

no sign of dh yet have had my dinner now having choc ice - bliss

but I always worry when he says ' I am leaving in a minute' 9mins ago and is still not here

sfxmum · 05/09/2008 19:09

that should read 90 minutes of course

bunyanvillas · 05/09/2008 19:14

Ros - lol!!! Well deduced Can you imagine lounging around a coffee shop with the paper for ONE WHOLE HOUR - nevermind the shopping bit! Yes, dh has coming up trumps and said that he "would love to have the kids tomorrow morning and that I must go out". The break will hopefully restore a modicum of sanity

OP posts:
sfxmum · 05/09/2008 19:21

bunyan forgot when you left but if you want to borrow the Bumbo you are welcome to it

bunyanvillas · 05/09/2008 20:10

Oh SFX, that might be quite fun - thanks!

Mrs Recycle I love you! And am but happy to know such nice people

OP posts:
rosmerta · 05/09/2008 20:24

bunyan, how lovely of your dh. I might be able to join you (though not literally!). Dh is taking ds to ILs tomorrow & am trying to decide whether or not to go with him. I really should do but dh is going out tomorrow evening so surely that means I should have the day off?!

bunyanvillas · 05/09/2008 20:31

Ros, it would probably be nice for you to have some time off as you'll be a bit busier soon! Go for it - have some ME time!

OP posts:
MrsRecycle · 05/09/2008 20:57

oh shucks bunyan - am all .

ComeOVeneer · 05/09/2008 22:11

No time to catch up. Hope everyone is well etc. Finished the cakes for the christening tomorrow and dropped them off. She seemed pleased (my first paycheck YAY). Will upload some pictures soon. Bust finishing of the cake for dh's granmother's birthday tomorrow, have to drive up to LOndon for the day then bring kids home (dh is out for the evening), then we have friends over for lunch on unday (and off to the minature trains - weather permitiing ). Realised I have been standing in the kitchen since 9.30 this morning more or less. My back/shoulders are killing me.

Will catch up on Monday once things have calmed down and ds is back at nursery. Have a good weekend everyone.

Kewcumber · 05/09/2008 23:00

thanks for lunch sfx, it was nice. Very funny your DD trying to persuade DS to play faireies I could have told her she was onto a loser!

If tomorrow is as bad as this wevening then we'll go swimming in the afternoon and hang around at home in teh morning - if anyone wants to come over for coffee, feel free but call me on house phone as work are changing over mobile providers and they've switched my number today forgetting that I'm not in work to pick up new phone/sim! So no working mobile until MOnday. Think my home number is on contact list though.

rosmerta · 06/09/2008 08:35

Morning all, last night I had decided to be a good DIL and go visit but now I'm dithering again!

Bunyan, ikwym about me time but tbh I do get a day off roughly every 3-4 weeks . Anyway, hope you have a lovely morning.

Btw, if anyone's interested there's the Brentford Festival at Boston Manor Park tomorrow afternoon. Its a lovely park as well if dcs get bored. I know that the toy library are having a stall and selling off the toys they don't want any more if anyone's looking for cheap toys!

slng · 06/09/2008 08:51

Morning!

We are thinking about the Brentford festival too. Haven't been to boston manor park since pre-DC! Last time we went there was a reenactment of the American Civil War. It's an attractive looking park. Anyway there's a website about last year's festival. It's likely to be pouring down, but nothing some waterproofs and wellies can't handle, I'm sure!

SJ99 · 06/09/2008 09:44

Morning all

Sfx - thanks for lunch, DS enjoyed playing with minisfx and gherkin and said they could come and play again He fell asleep before we even left the car park, never known him to fall asleep so quickly, that and preschool must've worn him out

I went out in Covent Garden on a girls night out which was really good fun with some friends who meet up a few times/yr with.

Today is our 5th Wedding anniversary
Going to a Latin American photography exhibition later today run by the friend who I did the modelling for. Should be good then off for a bite to eat

Hope everyone well, Bunyan/Ros do enjoy enjoy your time off

sfxmum · 06/09/2008 10:00

slng I thought there was some sort of Ealing literary festival this weekend with activities for little ones

dd got progressively snottier yesterday and spent the night coughing sneezing and spluttering and I stayed with her for most of the night, I expect to have a quiet day, dh is fully in charge all fresh and energetic

sfxmum · 06/09/2008 10:02

sillybigsausage · 06/09/2008 23:21

Well done Ros

Hope you all get a good sleep 2nite
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

sfxmum · 07/09/2008 11:06

hi all

what a soggy day! dh is at work (boo hoo)

SJ99 · 07/09/2008 11:38

Morning

Thanks for all your wishes, we had a lovely day yesterday. Not quite so romantic as my bro decided to tag along but at least it meant DS had a minder! The exhibition was really good.

Been for swim this morning but not sure what to do rest of the day, weather is so grim.

Has anyone seen 'No country for Old men'? Got it out to watch last night but we got back so late we went straight to bed. Didn't know if I should watch it on my own tonight (DH off to Bristol) or if it would be too scary?!?

sfxmum · 07/09/2008 11:54

SJ I really liked that movie proper characters fairly bleak but with good acting/ directing cinematography
can you tell I am a Cohen brothers fan?
