Hello

SFX, we would love to come for lunch tomorrow but will have to decline as ds really needs his lunchtime sleep otherwise he gets "a bit antsy" - as witness by Ros today! However, I know that dd would love to see mini-sfx again. If you're around in the afternoon we could pop round post-lunch? But if that's all too much then no probs and we'll catch up another time!

ros Richmond rules have changed - if applying for CHurch school you need to fill in Council AND school application...

Kewcumber · 04/09/2008 15:06

did someone offer lunch tomorrow?

sfxmum · 04/09/2008 15:09

KC lunch from 12/ 12.30 we will be open for visitors until 5pm

Kewcumber · 04/09/2008 15:11

If its OK we'll be there. Sure we can't bring anything?

sfxmum · 04/09/2008 15:11

after that I expect dd to collapse on the sofa worn out from all the excitement, while I listen to pm and cook dinner

sfxmum · 04/09/2008 15:13

fine yes see you tomorrow then

bunyanvillas · 04/09/2008 15:21

OK SFX well we'll pop along in the arvo for a quick catch-up, would be nice to see you.

SJ99 · 04/09/2008 15:33

Sfx - Great, will pop over unless I call you to say otherwise

KC - ta & see you tom then!

stepfordwife · 04/09/2008 15:56

well, had a lookie around richmond with dh trailing in my wake, bored to tears..haven't done that for years..
(well, the following me round shops bit) anyways..

sj - yomp is a big walk. really a military phrase for walking with full kit on, much used in press coverage on the falklands war.

damn, can't come for lunch/arvo sesh tomorrow, sfx, as have got a friend coming over, but thanks for offer. next time...

right, brood home from first day at school, better see how they are....

SJ99 · 04/09/2008 16:14

Thanks Steppie, not heard that term before Surprised DH hasn't used it as he's well into his military history!

DS turn to be clautrophobic and refusing to leave the house, I need to get a card from the shops, oh well, maybe he can make one instead!

sfxmum · 04/09/2008 16:21

very impressed with Nina and the neurons tackling the old 'if there is no air for sound to travel through then there is no sound'

yes yes yes no blardy sound of explosions in outer space please stop that nonsense

right feel better now

sfxmum · 04/09/2008 16:21

another time steppie
still will need to head out your way in a quest for dd's winter boots

slng · 04/09/2008 16:29

sfx - try the pink panther. No such problems there! Have not tried Nina and the neurons. What is it about? Can't handle numberjacks. Or that one with a little boy saving the world from some eco-crimnal. Tommy zoom or something. Or lazy town. So preachy.

sfxmum · 04/09/2008 16:33

I like Nina solid science that is except for the neurons bit that is

btw regarding schools KR emailed me the registration form and will send the council pack too when it is available, also invite for next open day

and how on earth do you pronounce AIOFE? is it Irish? i don't dare calling and talking to her before knowing how to do that properly

sfxmum · 04/09/2008 16:38

ok found it online with audio file, most helpful

rosmerta · 04/09/2008 16:39

sfx, it is an Irish name but don't know how to pronounce it. We'd also like to pop over tomorrow if you don't mind, wouldn't be until around 3-ish though, is that too late?

bunyan, glad ds got a good sleep, am amazed he could sleep through all that noise! Yes, I can see me spending most of the day there during the winter as well!

Right, must go get tea sorted.

slng · 04/09/2008 16:39

I guess "eve". Let me google and find out.

"Aiofe" ee-fah, but is it "Aoife" also ee-fa.

sfxmum · 04/09/2008 16:41

found it [[http://inogolo.com/pronunciation/Aoife here]

should be ok Ros

sfxmum · 04/09/2008 16:42

lets try that again here

Kewcumber · 04/09/2008 16:42

my friedns step daughter is AOIFE - she's defintiely "EE-FA"

slng · 04/09/2008 16:45

Sounds like a right party tomorrow! Wish I could come too ... DS1 finishes at 2.30 tomorrow but I suspect he would be quite tired by then.

sfxmum · 04/09/2008 16:48

will try to pace things so dd keeps entertained but not over tired, she slept better last night so hopefully will sleep well tonight

all this excitement with pre school kept her awake for longer and not as settled during the night

sfxmum · 04/09/2008 16:49

dd also has the grace of a 3yr old and asks guests to leave when she has had enough

slng · 04/09/2008 16:58

DS1 once said "I'm glad they are leaving. I don't like them."
