How exciting to be starting thread

Yay, thanks Sfx, am already looking forward to banana bread, mmmm!

In Sweden they had Noise Police (everything is so formally governed over there) but what a great idea, they used to go and put a stop the noise polluters, no messing.

I know this probably borders on the superstitious but it seems to me that the more desperate I am for her to do something the least likely she is to do it.
the little blighters !

sorry you are not getting enough rest paddle, good luck with review

mellow good luck house hunting. about visit sometime early next week if ok with you

Kewcumber · 28/02/2008 11:00

what are you looking for mellow then will advise... (property guru KC)

sfxmum · 28/02/2008 11:02

and why does dd want to go to kew gardens today when I really don't feel like it at all?

Paddlechick666 · 28/02/2008 11:11

thanks kew, seem to recall there's a section on moving into a bed too so i'd like to have a scan of it if i may.

sfx, i agree entirely. if i especially want dd to do something she will do the opposite! i have perfected the art of not letting her realise how desperate i am for her to go to sleep at 8pm. if i get huffy with her she just blathers on all the more!

as ever it's lots of factors with my tiredness. the noisy neighbours, dd early waking on top of my own inability to sleep without waking every couple of hours (why do i do that!). will i ever sleep well again? i pessimistically think not

thanks for the luck, tbh i doubt he'll show up.

wonder if i could sneak in a power nap in the loos!

sfxmum · 28/02/2008 11:20

just set an alarm in your mobile for your power nap just don't scream when it goes

fully sympathize with the sleep problem I seem to be waking up several times as well and this week has been horrid

another thing is I try not to ask questions requiring a yes answer that is like a red flag to a bull

yesterday I told dd 'I really do not like that behaviour'
and she said
'yes you do like that shocking toddler behaviour' honestly I had to laugh

Paddlechick666 · 28/02/2008 11:21

2 questions:

when is last night's Torchwood repeated? tv box screwed up last night

how do i go about finding someone to fit an oven and hob for me? would your polish guys be able to do that?

fitfox · 28/02/2008 11:47

Lo very L at the thought of paying for a craft lesson then having to "buy" the mugs at the end!!

Perhaps its the parents who are being mugs?
Tee Hee

I would like the children to do something Arty (as opposed to just being crafty little so and so's) but DD has a Spanish class on Saturday - will check the times

Rose - yes please re. borrowing that book

I strongly agree that kids start school WAY too early in the UK.

Hope everyone is well and happy

DS1 has changed my cursor into a rocket anfd the egg timer is now saturn with revolving planets - its quite good actually . The back drop is the universe!

fitfox · 28/02/2008 11:48

He also locked the PC last night when I told him to get off it, so I couldn't log myself on until he'd told me what the new password is

fitfox · 28/02/2008 11:58
