In Sweden they had Noise Police (everything is so formally governed over there) but what a great idea, they used to go and put a stop the noise polluters, no messing.

I know this probably borders on the superstitious but it seems to me that the more desperate I am for her to do something the least likely she is to do it.

sfx, i agree entirely. if i especially want dd to do something she will do the opposite! i have perfected the art of not letting her realise how desperate i am for her to go to sleep at 8pm. if i get huffy with her she just blathers on all the more!

as ever it's lots of factors with my tiredness. the noisy neighbours, dd early waking on top of my own inability to sleep without waking every couple of hours (why do i do that!). will i ever sleep well again? i pessimistically think not

just set an alarm in your mobile for your power nap just don't scream when it goes

fully sympathize with the sleep problem I seem to be waking up several times as well and this week has been horrid

another thing is I try not to ask questions requiring a yes answer that is like a red flag to a bull

yesterday I told dd 'I really do not like that behaviour'
and she said
'yes you do like that shocking toddler behaviour' honestly I had to laugh

Lo very L at the thought of paying for a craft lesson then having to "buy" the mugs at the end!!

DS1 has changed my cursor into a rocket anfd the egg timer is now saturn with revolving planets - its quite good actually . The back drop is the universe!
