New thread as the other one is not going to last long.

OP posts:
slng · 16/01/2008 17:01

Kids finally playing happily after much property dispute.... I need earplugs ...

Is Deen City farm anything like the hounslow urban farm?

fitfox - I was looking for cleaners - have one now on trial. I tried the myhome agency - they seem very nice but expensive. In the end I went through the yellow pages ringing any cleaning company with a local postcode and got one from round the corner ...

stepfordwife · 16/01/2008 17:38

hi chaps
hope you're having a good day
thanks for cappo this morning, foxie. grand to see you and your gorgeous ds1.

had bit of a stressful, but vaguely successful day, tracking down my AWOL people for work. had to talk to someone - in the only 10 minutes she could spare me (some people are far too important) while she was having her hair done..

plonked dd in front of in the night garden dvd with a packet of chocolate buttons to keep her quiet..desperate needs..and all that

sing, i always fall asleep at the cinema..that's why have to go to afternoon or 6pm showings
are you going to see lust, caution?

mrsR - wow! your dh is wonderful - glad you had a lovely time. i've never been to barcelona. so tell your dh to feel free to organise a wkend pour moi

foxie, would like to come for a swim. [GRIN] and cedars is all short-arse depth, isn't it?could do from friday lunchtime until school pick-up if i get MIL to look after DD.
have a fab evening , all

stepfordwife · 16/01/2008 17:39

foxie..or could do monday evening...

fitfox · 16/01/2008 17:40

Kew I do believe my complimentary pass might enable me to go to Aqua - but our lodger is moving in 6pm tomorrow - will see how it goes.

I can do Sunday, but sadly not at 10.30am, as DS1 has a special first communion preparation which will just be finishing then. How long do you stay? I could get down there for about 11.15am probably.

fitfox · 16/01/2008 17:46

Steppy - you are on for Monday evening - what time? (7.30pm or 8pm perhaps?)

I will check with DH what time he gets back on Monday

Glad you got your interview done

DD just announced "I changed DS2's nappy - all by myself" Unfortunately she was only joking.

stepfordwife · 16/01/2008 17:49

fab!
oh god...deforestation
7.30pm-8pm fine..
damn..better train her up, eh?

rosmerta · 16/01/2008 18:40

Foxie, I could (possibly) go Friday evening but I don't know where your healthclub is? Also, am worried that it might make me jealous that I have to use council pools

SJ99 · 16/01/2008 19:12

Hi all

Lucky you Mrs R going to Barcelona, must've been a wodnerful surprise!

Slng - enjoy the flics, also such a rare treat to go these days, what are you seeing?

Sfx - I'm no expert but if you're worried and it shows no sign of diappearing then might be worth getting a 2nd opinion

Steppie/Foxie - enjoy your swim, sounds lovely. Might try and go myself without Ds this wkend

Had a lovely walk to Richmond by the river. Then called in at my neighbours on way home, ended up staying for ages, so had to speed cook DS some tea when I got in as he was starving. Decided to give him his bedtime milk from open cup tonight for 1st time, he looked so cute with his milk moustache

stepfordwife · 16/01/2008 19:24

sfx.. sorry, thought your post ended before it did, iyswim.
re nipple. do you mean it's a spot ON the nipple or is it actually in the nipple? if it's sore and IN the nipple or underneath, sounds like it coiuld possibly be a blocked milk duct which may have become infected.
TMI alert..particularly if you've had a bit of a prod and squeeze and some pus has come out.

would always say it's worth getting it checked out rather than worrying about it. get your GP to refer you to the breast clinic at roehampton.

are you looking forward to torchwood?
I really fancy john barrowman. i fear i'm not his type
mind you, have gone off him slightly as he's released an album of naff covers...

SJ99 · 16/01/2008 19:37

Steppie - thanks for reminding about Torchwood, have just been on website, are they some alien fighting force? Are they aliens themselves?? Anyway am intrigued, shall watch it tonight if only to check out this guy you fancy

Also I found out about a drop in art group, have just booked DS a place for tom. He loves doing crafty stuff at home but we'll see what he makes of it.

Right, off to do some ironing now, boring, yawn, yawn

sfxmum · 16/01/2008 19:45

thanks SJ & steppie, sorry I did go on a bit
the doctor squeezed it and nothing came out but looks white iyswim like a bad spot right on the nipple, she did not seem concerned, asked if I breastfead and seemed shocked I did it for over 2yrs - am guessing she is no expert then

SJ they fight aliens 'last defense line' or some such, we are clearly all doomed.

sfxmum · 16/01/2008 19:46

am actually just excited to see Spikemy former object of lust my affections have moved elsewhere now

rosmerta · 16/01/2008 20:33

sfx, didn't realise Spike was in Torchwood? Though he was never my object of affection in Buffy (can you guess who was?!). And yes, I also quite fancy John Barrowman

Is there a different dr you could see for another opinion?

Sj, am interested in the art class, where is it? Ds has been enjoying drawing & painting so much lately, ever since we got him his own little table & chairs. I now get ordered to 'sit down there mummy' (on the sofa across the room, hard life I know!)

Btw MrsR, am v of your Barcelona trip, sounds great!

sfxmum · 16/01/2008 20:35

Riley?

rosmerta · 16/01/2008 20:38

Nope

Kewcumber · 16/01/2008 20:40

slng - I am assuming that Deen City farm is similar to Hounslow but haven;t been there yet. Wasn't hugely impressed with hounslow but perhaps DSwas just too young at the time. Cafe in Deen looks slightly nicer

Foxie am sure the pass will cover you for acqua as there is no additional charge and it just takes over half the pool. Not sure how they'd police people wandering over from one half of the pool to the other.

I'm generally there until about 12noon on Sundays so would overlap if you made it by 11.15am

Kewcumber · 16/01/2008 20:40

Buffy?

Kewcumber · 16/01/2008 20:41

sfx happy to give you a lift to farm if the date suits you.

Paddlechick666 · 16/01/2008 20:52

I can do lift too. Not sure how often 2cute checks in so will drop her a text and see if she's keen too.

sfxmum · 16/01/2008 20:55

but 'Angel's lame. his hair goes straight up, and he is bloody stupid'
sorry will stop now

KC thanks I need tocheck dates with dh

SJ99 · 16/01/2008 20:57

Will also look fwd to seeing Spike, now have added incentive to watch

Ros - art class is not far from me at Crane here for 18mth-4yr olds. Paddle - this is the place I was telling you about which is about half way btw our houses, there is a good playground across the rd from here near the river. Will let you know if class is any good. That's cute your DS makes you draw

Forgot to tell you that DS asked if mini-Ros was coming to play today when all the toddlers came round this morning!

SJ99 · 16/01/2008 20:58

Yep I also thought Angel too obvious

rosmerta · 16/01/2008 21:00

That's so sweet sj!

Actually it was Oz !

I can do Deen Farm with a lift [begging emoticon]!

Paddlechick666 · 16/01/2008 21:03

sj, cool thanks for that.
