Hello to Newmum1977 Congratulations on the pregnancy! The site looks interesting, I think I will email to find out more about the baby signing classes.

Hi minipink It's been a bit quiet/wierd on here of late hasn't it?

Hope everyone is ok - any sign of Dizzy?

Hi all xx
Klaw - let me know how dizzy is doing.

Klaw · 06/07/2008 12:25

Dizzy is fine, just been hectic, with birthdays and stuff, also her mum is not so good....

I'm sure she'll be back when she's got a breathing space...

What a fantastic summer's day it is this Sunday, eh?

dizzydixies · 06/07/2008 18:00

hi all sorry for disappearing act, not intentional I promise!

hi NewMum1977

minipink - how is Abbie and your whole brood?!

PPC - thank you for email
and Klaw was good of you too will check out the info when I get a moment before going back to clinic on Tues

am technically keeping well if a bit tired but as Klaw said it has been hectic

been a busy time with the dixie family, mum still in palliative care ward but case conference re her treatment on Tues when we're presuming she'll be moved to the hospice. Dad not coping to well and for some reason the family are all over the place with holidays etc so it is hard on him.

dd1 had her nursery play on Thurs which went well. I had mw on Fri morning and all ok (amazingly bp included in that) was my lovely midwife and I felt like crying as was so relieved to see a friendly face (am aware how pathetic I am) and visitors from Ireland arrived on Fri afternoon.

dd1's party at Cairnie farm went well yesterday and visitors left today and bless her dd1 was sobbing in the back seat as she misses her cousin so much - she is not a highly emotional child and I have never seen her sob so my heart was completely broken - am just hoping that she's been a bit overwhelmed by the weekend and tired out and its not that she's picking up on the vibes from all of us

anyway, am doing ok and I really appreciate all your kind thoughts and messages and am missing being on here with you all, tis lovely to be back on even if only for a moment as shattered

I have another stupidly busy week and cannot belive that am so disorganised for baby - thinking credit card will be abused online tonight. I have the diabetes clinic on tues morning again so now doubt will be discussing delivery then - even I realise I can only put it off for so long [meep]

minipinkscottish · 06/07/2008 18:10

hi dizzy - good to hear from you - my you are a busy lady and oh bless your dd

Abbie is doing fine - eating all the time and keeping me from sleeping - but it's all good xx

all dcs are fine and have taken to Abbie like she has always been here - all except Mackenzie(aged 2) - he is being very demanding and extremely naughty when dh is not around and particularly so when I am bf. I know this is normal and I am tryimg to stay calm and give him lots of attention but OMG it's hard going

take care all xx

PinkPussyCat · 08/07/2008 13:35

Glad you posted Dizzy! Hope you are keeping on top of things and not getting too stressed. Why does everything happen at once eh?

Your poor dd missing her cousin... I take it this is an NI cousin that she doesn't get to see much of... bless her

Glad the mw appt went ok too

Minipink you are an inspiration...! You sound like you are doing so well (speaking as someone who is overwhelmed with just the one ds!) Love to Abbie

minipinkscottish · 08/07/2008 13:54

Hi PPC - thought there was no one else watching this thread. Thanks for your kind words - I don't often feel that I am doing so good trying to juggle 6 kids and housework and a job....but it's lovely to get a boost from a MN friend - thank you

Abbie was weighed this morning and she has put on 3 and a half onzes - she is now 6lb 4oz - just 1 onze beow her birth weight now and still over a week till her due date (18th July)

PinkPussyCat · 08/07/2008 16:13

Hi minipink I am watching the thread, just don't manage to get near the computer too often! That's good to hear about lo's weight - are they keeping a closer eye on her weight with her being a bit early?

Re 'juggling' - I don't know how you do it, I would need staff! Hope the other dc are making the most of the weather while it lasts, there's nowt worse than grumpy children cooped up inside.

Dingdong you've been very quiet lately too... I had a wee look at the website and was very impressed btw! Hope business grows nicely for you

dizzydixies · 08/07/2008 18:37

Am here too just all over the place sorry

Am delighted to hear Abbie getting on so well minipink

JennyfromtheBlock · 08/07/2008 21:26

Hi all seems ages since i checked this thread. Hope everyone is well.

Well DS1 finished up from nursery last week and starts school after holidays

My baby boy is 1 on the 20th of July, so i'm busy trying to plan the party of the year that he won't even remember I can't believe his first year is almost off its so sad but in a good way i guess.

And then DS2 his summer holidays is filled up with at least three hospital appointments. We've spent so much time in hospitals since he was 6 months i hate it!

so thats my exciting news and plans lol

minipinkscottish · 11/07/2008 19:44

minipinkscottish · 15/07/2008 08:38

OK where are you all now??

clayre · 15/07/2008 08:42

hello, this thread has fair taken off since the last time i was on it, i always forget to look at the mumsnet local bit,

how is everyone?

dizzydixies · 15/07/2008 14:36

sorry minipink - been a bit hectic but have told them that unless mum goes downhill drastically I won't be back down again before baby born - am too knackered and haven't organised ANYTHING yet

hi clayre

PinkPussyCat · 15/07/2008 14:58

OMG I just saw this thread in active convos!!! That never happened before!

Hi Clayre Dizzy Sorry to hear you're feeling so knackered. If you ever need a hand with anything at all just give me a tinkle! I can do shuttle trips to mothercare if you need to get anything heavy/awkward.

Minipink hope you are doing ok too...

Klaw Hello! Keeping busy?

No real news here! Been to PILs anniversary party this weekend... ate + drank FAR too much... came home and have now got the 'aftermath' of being away to deal with, you know, all the wee things you take 'just in case' and NEVER need to use are still lying in bags/cases needing packed away but I keep finding better things to do like MNing..

dizzydixies · 15/07/2008 15:04

thanks PPC but I think I'll be going down the home delivery route! we don't really need much tbh (well at least I hope we don't) its the clearing out of the spare room and turning it into a nursery I can't face quite yet

how did the cake turn out?

minipinkscottish · 15/07/2008 16:45

Hello - nice to hear from everyone again Hi Clayre

I am excited today (a weird kind of excited only mummies get) - because Abbie put on 12 oz this week and is now 7lb - can you believe it??

dizzydixies · 15/07/2008 18:45

oh minipink thats lovely news - well done Abbie

PinkPussyCat · 15/07/2008 21:40

"thanks PPC but I think I'll be going down the home delivery route!"

Dizzy you gave me a wee bit of a there mentioning home delivery... not that you couldn't have one if you so desired of course lol! Seriously tho, give me a text if you need anything over the next couple of weeks or so.

Well done to Abbie for her 12oz gain - you must be producing the gold-top stuff now minipink!
