ok ladies cunning change of plan due to sodding weather

will start texting you all this morning

PinkPussyCat · 22/06/2008 08:52

Oh feck it is still pishing down

dizzydixies · 22/06/2008 08:57

yup, completely

Minipink has been on this morning, Abbie was in hosp yesterday - nothing to panic about but she is going to call off today so am I right in thinking we're all nearer to Dundee instead?

shall we go somewhere nearer like City Quay Junglee?

let me know what you think - have sent texts

PinkPussyCat · 22/06/2008 09:11

Hope Abbie is ok

Do they admit lone adults in to Junglee Fun Dizzy??

dizzydixies · 22/06/2008 09:13

you don't need to be lone PPC - you can have one or both of mine lol

just got text from Klaw - Junglee is perfect for her too so shall we say about 11pm?

did you get my text too? just to make sure you have my mobile number

PinkPussyCat · 22/06/2008 10:17

Yes got it (this post is prob too late now!)

I take it you mean 11am not pm?

minipinkscottish · 22/06/2008 11:21

Hope you all had fun today. I am soooooo!!

Abbie is doing great and feeding really well - she just needs building up as she has no fat reserves due to being early - so at moment I am milking machine

Let's make another date soon please so I can meet you all xx

Klaw · 22/06/2008 16:26

It was great, we had to go to Arbroath as Junglee Fun is currently closed and awaiting new management or something. All the kids were a bit grumpy due to it being stifling close and very noisy but we met up and that's the main thing.

Hopefully, we can arrange a fair weather trip to Cairnie fairly soon!!!!

Minipink Am glad to hear that Abbie is feeding OK, sometimes an early baby will take a while to make up for lost time, so you will definitely need to feed frequently so her little tummy can deal with the little it holds. Lots of cuddles and lots of feeds can't be wrong! Gives you an excuse to get out of doing ANYTHING else which is great for the post birth healing anyway.

Look after yourself!

minipink am glad to hear the wee one is doing so well - sending positive chubby baby thoughts your way and we'll arrange something very soon

ladies - Junglee was open on the way home, well I peeked as we went past and it certainly looked like there were people in it? some further investigation required me thinks lol

had lovely time although those chairs have done nothing for my pelvis

PinkPussyCat · 23/06/2008 08:14

Lovely to meet you all yesterday!

Minipink glad to hear Abbie is doing well, hope to meet you at the next one! (Actually there was a distinct lack of strawberry tarts at this particular meet-up, so aiming for Cairnie again next time!)

Agree Dizzy those chairs were less than forgiving on the posterior. Not sure what's going on with Junglee, seems very strange!

dingdong05 · 24/06/2008 13:48

I'd like to say it was indeed a pleasure to meet everyone on sun, although I was sad to forgo my knobbly strawberries and yummy cairnie jam
Junglee Fun has changed management, but i think it was just closed for a bit of a refurb- there's a few changes on the way, or so I've heard.
Thank you to the lovely klaw for the lift, and the offer to let me pick up compost Couldn't have got to Arbroath without you!

minipinkscottish · 24/06/2008 15:24

Glad to hear you all had a good time and I am looking forward to meeting you all next time

Abbie has put on a little weight - 40g little by little I'll build her up - maybe I'll get to size zero after all

dizzydixies · 24/06/2008 18:06

carinie shall be back on the cards soon but I'll have to forego the tarts/cakes etc - tests back and confirm I have Gestational Diabetes
serves me right for being smug and telling them their tests were a waste of time
go to go back on tues for another scan and meet with new consultant

klaw had my yoga session with Ghita this morning and she is just LOVELY - she's def coming to the meeting tomorrow night and I'm still trying to sort it all out

minipink am delighted to hear how well she's doing, hope you and rest of dc are all well too

dingdong dd1 keeps going on about J - she's delighted she has 2 J's now seeing as her beloved nephew is one as well

PPC am going to email you about new consultant to see if you know anything!!!

Klaw · 24/06/2008 19:22

Dizzy, GD should not necessarily mean problems with birth, I hope they don't try to scare you into anything, like early induction.... let me knowq if you want any more info and I'll dig stuff out. I've got a few GD links on a resource thread for VBACers (on rival forum), which I could pass on.

Definitely no huge sugar rushes for you!

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 24/06/2008 19:31

any info gladly received Klaw - thank you

PinkPussyCat · 25/06/2008 08:43

Oh Dizzy Just your luck! I have emailed you re new consultant, afraid I don't know too much about him but hope what I've said is a wee help...(Ooh that sounds ever so cryptic doesn't it? There's nothing to worry about really!)

Did you have GD with your dd's as well?

As long as all seems well there shouldn't be any reason for early induction. And the lack of strawberry tarts in your system might stave off any last minute 'growth spurts' lol!

Here this will make you chuckle!

Minipink glad lo is gaining weight. Don't turn into size 0 though - not a good look!

dizzydixies · 25/06/2008 11:44

PPC thank you - I forgot all about looking up that thread, will have a look

no GD with either girls which was why I was trying to tell them it would be a waste of time doing doing it

Klaw · 25/06/2008 16:39

Dizzy, haven't emailed stuff yet, been busy preparing for Birth Choices tonight.

Will do so later. What's this about a consultant? There's only one that I know of so far that I'd definitely feel good about but there's also the new cons mw so will need to email you about these soon. Definitely recommend speaking to cons mw as her remit is to 'Keep Birth Natural and Dynamic'

Laters!!!

dizzydixies · 25/06/2008 16:52

klaw was hoping to see you tonight after attending Yoga class but dh delayed and not sure when he'll be home, seeing as he was due to finish in 9minutes am doubting very much I'll make yoga at this rate

If I don't manage tonight I hope it all goes very well for you

JennyfromtheBlock · 25/06/2008 21:53

Damnations i forgot all about the big meetup!!! Not been on for ages!!!

Very big Congrats MPS Abbie is gorgeous so tiny

PinkPussyCat · 25/06/2008 22:09

Jenny! Hope you are well... not to worry you'll hopefully get to the next meet up! We couldn't do Cairnie as it was very wet so was a bit of a shame but lovely to put names to er, nicknames as it were!

(PS you won't see me adding to this thread's baby boom... not for a looong time!)

dizzydixies · 25/06/2008 22:12

hi jenny am 35wks now so a wee while to go although by the size of my feet am not so sure

minipinkscottish · 26/06/2008 14:23

Hi jenny - good to hear from you!! I didn't make the meet up either so i am also looking forward to the next one xx

dizzy - Abbie was born at 35 weeks soooooooo you never know!

Klaw · 26/06/2008 18:18

you can read a news item about the Dundee Birth Choices first meeting here.

It was a brilliant night and I think the women got a lot out of it, midwives and pregnant women both!!!!
