Hello

Just popping in and saw thread already full up! The craziness of November is well and truly under way. Sorry I'm behind on your news, hope everyone is well.

The scarf video, I thought she was going to hang herself for the final tie Grin

Still undecided about floor, have got loads of samples ordered. I want a fresh, modern look whereas Dh wants more clinical, utlitarian (sp?) look, need to find something that we both like Hmm

Listening to In Our Time archive podcasts on philosophy, bit of a bun fight too, lots of egos particularly when Grayling bestows his wisdom Grin
Out all day. Rain. Joy

UptoapointLordCopper · 08/03/2012 10:12

Friends round last night. Ate too much, drank too much, slept too late. A bit bleugh now. Grin But bottle of coke, 2 panadols + 1 danish pastry later, things are looking up.

vbus · 08/03/2012 20:18

sfxmum · 08/03/2012 21:32

vbus pretty good thanks, had fun, lovely sunny day

KewC just how long have you lived there? good luck

tillyfernackerpants · 08/03/2012 21:41

Sfx, was a lovely day for it at least! Am definitely planning on going next year, will just have to hand the dses off to someone else Grin

Been watching Masterchef, every week is their "toughest challenge yet" and "its a difficult decision on who we're sending home". I'm pretty sure its the same script every time! Hasn't been many scallops cooked on this series though!

Kewcumber · 08/03/2012 22:39

Must be 10 years sfx - spent the whole day with my nephew shipping to the dump all the stuff I moved in 10 years ago and has sat in the shed/garden ever since and not been touched. I swore I wouldn;t move it again because I think it mostly came with me from teh previous house move too!

sfxmum · 09/03/2012 08:30

I think the thought of moving again just makes me twitch for that reason alone, still good that the tip is so close Grin

Kewcumber · 09/03/2012 10:11

Lots of twitching going on here.

UptoapointLordCopper · 09/03/2012 13:54

sfx - Has DD read any Judy Moody books? DSs like them and I've just read one. It's very good indeed. Even manages to crack a joke about Barack Obama and Hawaii... And it's about a girl ...

vbus · 09/03/2012 14:28

Kew - movin house always a good opportunity for a spring clean, got to look on the upside

Tilly - nice to meet up the other day. This series of Masterchef has completely bypassed me, but doesn't sound like much has changed Grin

Dh's friend been round, he is in MLC and has just bought a motorbike Shock Too predictable

OP posts:
sfxmum · 09/03/2012 14:54

vbus dear oh dear Grin

tilly being on a diet is a really good excuse to avoid masterchef what I need is a biking series hopefully without that annoying Paul git

copper will have a look, I take it it is American?

spent day studying instead of going for long run, went for a short thing just know made up for it by doing some fartlek, the joy of holding 8.30min/mile for 200yards Smile small pleasures
I have friends who run marathons at that pace and faster, the freaks!

tillyfernackerpants · 09/03/2012 17:31

My dad bought <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=harley+davidson+trike&hl=en&biw=1280&bih=612&gbv=2&tbm=isch&tbnid=HYtnmJJ6rXVEHM:&imgrefurl=motorbike-search-engine.co.uk/Custom/harley-davidson-trikes.php&docid=Gwsro_G1HO_c8M&imgurl=motorbike-search-engine.co.uk/Custom/harley-touring-trike.jpg&w=400&h=300&ei=Qz5aT_r0F8LY8gO4weGBDw&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=359&sig=116448563764276515972&page=1&tbnh=129&tbnw=165&start=0&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0&tx=92&ty=58" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">one of these this week Hmm, he said he can finally afford his MLC!!

UptoapointLordCopper · 09/03/2012 19:02

sfx - it is indeed American. Judy says "ROAR" when upset and "Rare" when impressed. Smile I do like her.

sfxmum · 10/03/2012 09:28

Will have a look thanks copper
Off to music then running with dd.

UptoapointLordCopper · 10/03/2012 09:59

No music class today due to gas leak at premises. So off to meet people for lunch!

sfxmum · 11/03/2012 19:57

hope everyone had a good weekend, went to Kew for the first time in ages, it was really lovely

vbus · 11/03/2012 20:31

Is Spring here?! Nice and warm in the sun

Sfx - sounds good, we plan to go next wkend, can't wait as haven't been for ages either.

Tilly - go dad Grin Dh's friend is statring to become delusional and tried to chat up Pixie Lott in a bar last night, DH and his mate fell about laughing at his attempts at chatting her up, she ran a mile Grin

Hope everyone else enjoyed wkend. Ours was really good, busy but not stressful

UptoapointLordCopper · 12/03/2012 11:34

Hello!

Busy weekend but very nice days out. Exhausted now ... Grin

sfxmum · 12/03/2012 17:47

definitely Spring hurrah! so nice to be able to run with light clothes on, surely long runs will only require a tee

vbus that is funny I pity him, maybe it is just a phase

UptoapointLordCopper · 13/03/2012 10:01

Mouse in house last week. Dead mouse in house today. Shock Hopefully it's a stray. No sign of infestation.

Treacle sponge pudding or marmalade roly-poly for Mother's day lunch? That is the question.

That don't-say-fuck thread really cheered me up. Grin

Kewcumber · 13/03/2012 10:05

Couldn't resist that thread copper Grin

Predictable but funny.

sfxmum · 13/03/2012 10:06

not sure what to do on Mother's day, am contemplating going on the NHS demo

copper I am not spending enough time on MN these days, most of the friends are on FB groups and so on

busy with essay writing today I think

copper any pudding with caramel/syrup sounds good to me

Kewcumber · 13/03/2012 10:08

I'm not on MN either. I'm packing. Honest.

UptoapointLordCopper · 13/03/2012 10:13

I've had to hide a few people on FB lately. One particularly one is going though a tough patch lately but is prone to posting the most hopefully unintentional sexist dribble. Given that I have promised myself never to comment on her posts (long story, also long story why we are FB friends) I though it best to just hide her news. The others I hid are PFB posts or pretty religious pictures. Can't bear that. So my FB is very quiet these days. Hmm I prefer MN where you get threads like that swearing one.

DS1 doing Anglo Saxon stuff in school. We have been looking up Anglo Saxon riddles. Quite fun, really.
