I took a load of toys to school for a clear out to make some space and then DS1 piped up 'yay we can buy some toys at fair to fill the gaps', reminds me of that peppa pig episode when Daddy pig ends up buying back his own arm chair to raise money for school

Carrier bag full. After much begging/promising, bag shall be kept till Friday before toys are returned. Next time things will be binned. It's really not that much to tidy. They even agreed it was fair that while I do the washing up they should tidy. It's only once a week. They also agreed it was not too much to ask. How it came to that was a mystery.

Copper, I have the same only every day! I have told ds1 today that if lego is left all over the floor again, I will put it in the bin. Then he cried and I felt bad

vbus it is normal in formal correspondence, only I have been away so long I always find it surprising when it happens, it is a very formal culture.

On normal days, ie 6 days a week, I only request that there is a clear path between important places in the house (and no f**king toys on the sofa ). Tuesday is tidy-up day because cleaner comes tomorrow. And it's not a bad thing to restore things to rightful places once a week, I think. Usually works fine. Something in the air tonight.

We also have once a week proper tidy up, everything back in it's right place. When Dc ask where's my car/lego/whatever I always say I don't know but if you tidied it up you would know where to find it

I am constantly finding bits of lego everywhere, found some in pan drawer today, how did that happen?

School bell rang early today, so we were on time but late.

We have two slightly sinister wooden "kinder" buses populated with little people. They pop up everywhere. Apart from the drivers. They've gone AWOL.

Playground was a bit deserted this morning too class open early to shelter the children.

Beautiful day but the wind is icy. Ended up having two playdates today, 6 kids in addition to my own, eek. It was good fun but I'm exhausted now!

Instead of 4 bananas, 4 carrots and 3 courgettes, I've received 4 kilos of bananas, 4 kilos of carrots and 3 kilos of courgettes from on-line shopping. Thankfully they've admitted it was a mistake, but it's still left me with rather a lot of stuff! Apart from showing DD1 difference between counting in weight and units, I'm not sure how I'm going to use it all! I may be bringing round donations of veg tonight!!!
