By popular demand I'm organising a summer meet up for us Cheltenham Ladies!!

I'll organise an evening 'do' as, I for one, am always in need of a night out

So, shall I throw out a few dates and see what everyone can do?

Friday 3rd June
Saturday 4th June
Friday 17th June
Saturday 18th June
Friday 24th June
Saturday 25th June

I'll DM everyone who came/wanted to come last time. Please let anyone else know as well.

Lets have any suggestions for somewhere to meet, somewhere we can sit outside if it's sunny maybe? So if you've been somewhere you think would be a good venue, please say (or I'll end up choosing somewhere that is packed full of race goers like last time Grin )

Right, visualising - nice maxi, red granny cardi (mm, I do like a nice snuggly cardi), and Bumper with the crochet. I suppose I'd better see if DD and DH want anything to eat before I go out.

BumperlicicusTotalus · 09/07/2011 18:19

Not exactly the yummy mummies of Islington are we? Grin

Galena · 09/07/2011 18:20

Hehe! Not me! Am considering bringing DD's DLA form to fill in, but it's terribly boring and negative, so I think I'll just drink and hide in the corner instead...

AlsoAvailableSober · 09/07/2011 19:09

am ready. Despite MIL's attempt to derail me with a loooooooonng conversation.

Dd2 has done a sunshine spell so hopefully I won't look completely wrongly dressed in my summery maxi Grin

ledkr · 09/07/2011 19:10

Had a fab night, great to meet everyone and many thanks to Dolly again for her organisational skills.

My head hurts a fair bit and I'm off to the gym in an hour........ouch! Those wine glasses were rather largeWink

TsarinaDollytwat · 10/07/2011 08:56

Morning!

I had a great night, thank you all!
Apologies too for talking non stop and possibly slurring a bit at the end!

Maybe we should do the next one at the Jaimie Oliver restaurant when it opens?

BumperlicicusTotalus · 10/07/2011 09:28

Bloody hell pat, that's dedicated!

Great to meet you all. I'm glad I snuck off early though as dd2 was up between 3 and 4.30 as punishment for me putting her down early and going out Hmm

DontCallMeBaby · 10/07/2011 09:32

Morning!

I feel surprisingly reasonable, considering ... :o But I'm glad no one woke up at 3am and that I'm not going to the gym (OMG, I am going tomorrow though, to my first ever class, eek).

ledkr · 10/07/2011 10:38

Morning,we were the die hards. I got in about 1 to a obliterated kitchen, pizza left in boxes,no night bottle ready (just in case) and a fully clothed dh in bed-apparently he was too tired to undressConfused when baby woke at 5 flipping 30 i told him i felt like id stumbled onto a men behaving badly set so he got up with her and cleared up! Result. hows ya head Dolly haha

Galena · 10/07/2011 10:52

1:30 mine woke up. Bleurgh! However, once resettled, she then slept till 9:30!!

Was a fab evening and thanks Dolly for organising it! When's the next one then? Grin

TsarinaDollytwat · 10/07/2011 13:08

Just realised how much I drank!
I'm fine now, went back to sleep til midday as the boys are away!

Im happy to arrange another, is august too soon? People might be away.

ledkr · 10/07/2011 14:57

blimey galena that was one hell of a lie in.Lucky sod Grin

dolly I remember eyeing those huge wine glasses and thinking thank god im not drinking wine. You were very chatty yes haha I am up for another one or as its school hols could have a picnic or day at the lido.Am having a very unproductive day so far.

AlsoAvailableSober · 10/07/2011 18:58

I managed a lie in until 10 Shock

I didn't quite match Pat's effort of going to the gym at 9am but did manage to swim 50 lengths and sit in the sauna for quite a while to sweat out the alcohol

Realistically we are not around until September, so will miss a holiday picnic Sad. However, for the one after that (mega planning Grin) mid Sept would be good once the new term has settled in Smile

DontCallMeBaby · 10/07/2011 19:10

I don't think the thought 'thank god I'm not drinking wine' has EVER passed through my head. :o

I have checked how much money I came home with compared with what I went out with, and concluded that I really did drink five bottles of Magners. I didn't actually know I could still do that ...

I'll be around sporadically during the summer; more than happy to meet up again if I'm free.

Galena · 10/07/2011 19:49

I seem to have been bitten by some horrible creature while we were out - got home and there was some dried blood on my foot and I thought maybe my sandals had rubbed. Nope - it's now itching like hell and swelling gradually. Not sure WHAT could have bitten me that a) drew enough blood to be noticeable, b) left a hole about 1mm across and c) I didn't notice!

We're around most of August, and away the last week in September. :)

theglove · 10/07/2011 20:18

Thanks Dolly for organising, it was a lovely evening and great to meet you all. I got lost twice on the way home and had to ask directions, then was told off by a bloke for not having lightsBlush Good ride though with no traffic - lush!

I had a 'bit' of a difficult day at work however, no amount of Optrex would unredden my eyes and I may have been a tad moody.. It was worth it though.
I feel for those of you who had babies to get up for in the night.

I''d love to meet up again and will keep an eye out for news
Grin

Mbear · 10/07/2011 23:21

Hi All,

Great to meet you all, and not a hairy arsed trucker in sight! Next time I will be properly organised and not drive and drink like a fish

Thanks Dolly for organising and hope to see you all again soon x
