By popular demand I'm organising a summer meet up for us Cheltenham Ladies!!

I'll organise an evening 'do' as, I for one, am always in need of a night out

So, shall I throw out a few dates and see what everyone can do?

Friday 3rd June
Saturday 4th June
Friday 17th June
Saturday 18th June
Friday 24th June
Saturday 25th June

I'll DM everyone who came/wanted to come last time. Please let anyone else know as well.

Lets have any suggestions for somewhere to meet, somewhere we can sit outside if it's sunny maybe? So if you've been somewhere you think would be a good venue, please say (or I'll end up choosing somewhere that is packed full of race goers like last time Grin )

Should be able to make that date, well its far enough in advance for DH to not have baggsied it first and once its on the calendar that thats final in our houseGrin.

I shall be able to make that date no problem.

Exmouth sounds great - I was there a couple of Saturdays ago, it was lovely in the beer garden. Norwood can get a bit rowdy.

Balti Walla is great (despite the 90s black ash tables) and I love the fact you go in there clanking carrier bags of your own wine. Curry Corner is the best Indian I think but is a bit of a trek, it's down near the Fiery Angel so too far to walk I think.

Sorry my sister has just announced that my nieces christening will be on 10th July and they live in Cheshire :( we may have to go up on the Saturday night. Hope you all have a fab time and don't forget me next time

moomoo1967 · 07/05/2011 17:45

Just poking my nose in lol even though I cannot attend. I loved the Balti Walla last time and the Curry Corner can be expensive.

DollyTwat · 07/05/2011 18:07

Maybe we can all meet at the exemouth then go on for some food depending on how many come.

If only a few then we probably won't have to book so can decide on the night.

I'm sure you're very welcome, Ishani - although I can't promise to keep anyone out of mischief!

DollyTwat · 07/05/2011 20:40

You are more than welcome Ishani!
But as Galena says we can only promise to get you into mischief!
I'll post up the details on the local events site so it shows up now we have a plan

All are welcome Grin

Will be great if we get a good turn out. I think we will have to book a table somewhere if everyone on the list comes.

Choices seem to be
Curry
Morans?

Galena · 10/05/2011 18:02

Curry suits me fine - well, I eat pretty much anything, to be honest!

Bumperlicioso · 10/05/2011 19:40

I would prefer the balti wala just in terms of price.

Ishani · 10/05/2011 19:56

I'm happy with a balti

Aargh, sorry Dolly can't make this one, I'll be on holiday. Have fun!

DollyTwat · 10/05/2011 23:09

aw that's a shame ApuskiDusky, would have been great to see you again

I'm sure we can get another one in this year!

I'm happy with Balti Wala, I'll book us a table a couple of weeks beforehand, so we have an idea of final numbers.

DollyTwat · 13/05/2011 12:33

I'm getting quite excited now! We've got a good crowd coming!
They do food in the Exmouth I've noticed, if anyone is going in there can ou have a look at the menu and let us know what you think

OP posts:
ledkr · 13/05/2011 16:30

just been to exmouth for a coffee, the menu is a bit limited and i thought expensive.I went into the garden with my friend to have a smoke and a huge rat ran across the garden Shock anyone scared of rats?
Did anyone know each other at the last meetup? Its a small town is Chelt.

PiaThreeTimes · 13/05/2011 16:39

I could do 24th and 25th, but not the other days.

I see some people fancy a balti. Cheltenham Balti does buy one main course, get one free. Our family may aswell have our own table in that place! Grin

ledkr · 13/05/2011 16:45

Thats good pig? Is that every day?

PiaThreeTimes · 13/05/2011 17:02

"Pig", ledkr??! Actually, that's about right. Grin

I think it's every night, but I'm not sure. Will check. It's BYOB, so the bill's always nice and low.
