Also from NI and have been following Pamela's journey. So shocking that the NHS here has let her down so badly. Really hoping everything goes OK today. 😍

From ROI but NI family and can’t wrap my head round how bad it is right now.

Kerr went to my church today and lit a candle for you all. Pamela’s love for you and Jacob shines bright.

Thank you for the update. God Bless you both in this trying time.

TaylorSwifting · 07/07/2023 21:12

So lovely to see updates from you both, Pamela and Kerr. Sometimes Pamela’s threads have reminded me of the Handmaids Tale is some strange way - Pamela you have a June Osbourne effect about you, with you sharing so much more than usual on MN and others joining the force and revealing their names and locations….of course if you’ve never watched handsmaids tale then this won’t mean a thing but I recommend it for a gripping binge watch if you want some distraction whilst you undergo your treatments. Keep going x

Bless you Kerr for updating us. I hope the surgery has gone well. And well done you for being able to use Mumsnet - Pamela wasn't so sure you'd be able to 🤗

You rest now and be assured that we will all continue to pray for your lovely family.

Hopefully tomorrow will provide the breakthrough you've been waiting for xx 💕xx

I am keeping everything crossed that the surgery goes better than anyone could hope for and gives you the strength to fight on.

I wish I could do more to help you and others in your situation but please know that you have a Mumsnet army cheering you on x

Try and get some rest, if you can. Hoping the drains work and Pamela can have a stent fitted.

You are on my mind all the time Pamela. These threads will go down in the history of Mumsnet. The strength and solidarity, hope and love and sheer brutal truth are unprecedented.
You have changed lives with your courage and emotional depth.
Rebecca in Bromley- sending love.

Hi, it’s Kerr here, Pamela asked me to let you all know about her surgery today so this is a very quick update. Surgery was due to be early afternoon but it went ahead around 6.30pm this evening - the wonderful staff in the hospital were trying their best to reassure us the procedure wouldn’t be cancelled despite it being so late on a Friday afternoon. We’re praying it’s goes well.

Can I also take the opportunity to say how much Pamela (and I) sincerely appreciate every single one of your prayers, your good wishes, your thoughts and your messages - the sense of community spirit, warmth and true human kindness has been overpowering and is an enormous support to Pamela through this incredibly difficult period. If I could thank you individually I would because Pamela is the most wonderful woman, the love of my life. Please keep praying for her.

And your are a wonderful husband. And a very lucky man from what I've seen. I admire Pamela so much, despite her being a stranger.
I hope all goes well with the surgery. Wishing the whole family all the best.

mummydoris2006 · 07/07/2023 21:39

Sending love, hope and prayers to you all again. Pamela you still look stunning! xx

RedLem0nade · 07/07/2023 21:41

Thinking of you all xxx

jamfirstcreamsecond · 07/07/2023 21:42

Thank you Kerr for the update. What you and your wonderful Pamela are witnessing is quite remarkable. So many people, on an anonymous forum, from all over the world united in praying, sending only good wishes and tales of hope and joy. All to someone we don't know, yet have grown very fond of within such a short space of time.
Pamela is all of us.

mummydoris2006 · 07/07/2023 21:42

Thought I'd send you this image of Hemsby Beach in Norfolk. We've been there this week, the cliffs are eroding and unfortunately hones have been lost to the sea. With all this going on, it's still beautiful and reminded me of you if that makes sense 🤦🏻‍♀️. Still going strong, still beautiful against all odss
