Rejoining you for This thread! :) Still awaiting pgta results but return consult and transfer protocol call booked for May 25th which is when my period is due so also hoping to be transferring in June. Fingers crossed for us both!

Hello! Please can I join? I will be starting my first round of ICSI at the beginning/mid June (my cycles are long-ish and vary month to month so not sure of exact date yet).
I am very lucky to have a DS who is 2.5 who was conceived naturally. We started trying May 2025 and I had a MC at 10 weeks in December and nothing since then.
I am 35, AMH 10 and AFC 24. My DH has mild male factor - first tests in Feb were count 8 million and morphology 2% but now improved to 30 million and 3% morphology. Still been advised to do ICSI due to the lower morphology.
Will do a fresh transfer (fingers crossed if any embryos) then PGTA test any remaining ones and do frozen transfers.
Quite nervous as this will be first time doing it and never thought we’d end up here to be honest after being fine with DS! I think perhaps going straight into ivf after just one year of trying some people might find a bit fast but we are impatient due to age gap and me being stuck in my job plus very very lucky that we can afford to do it privately.

CMGC · 13/05/2026 12:39

Welcome! No your dead right I think to start into ivf especially at our age (im 36) I did my first round ever in May there and honestly the TTC period of two years beforehand was way worse than the actually ivf process for me personally. We don’t have any children yet. We also did ICSI and pgta testing protocol. Due frozen transfer in June. Already completed the stims and egg retrieval in May but no fresh transfer due to high AMH and risk of OHSS

fingers crossed for us!

Hi everyone! Hoping it's OK to join too. I'm starting meds at the end of this month and then have my egg collection booked for the end of June. We're doing duo stim to try and bank some embryos so won't have a transfer this time but hopefully a fresh transfer after the second round. We are so so lucky to have a little boy already from our first round of ICSI so this will be trying to get a sibling for him. I'm 39 now so a bit worried about my age and time not being on our side.

Hi,

Stepping foot into one of these threads again is TRIGGERING. But I did a FET with no MN last time and it did feel quite lonely.

I have a 3yo DS from my fresh transfer in 2022. 4 embryos left for FET in the future. We started trying to give him a sibling in May 2025, that was a chemical. We went back to back for another FET June 2025. Unfortunately that ended in MMC at around 9 weeks, but baby measured 6wks. I knew from the start something wasn’t right as the lines started out so faint, just like my chemical, although did gradually darken and progress, but I never got a 3+ on CB digital weeks and my blood draw at 6w was low (although they told me it was ‘still in range’).. We heard a heartbeat at 7w but baby was measuring small so they gave us a 50/50 chance of it catching up or no heartbeat at next scan. Obviously there was no HB.. & I ended up having 2x surgical evacs. So there was a long gap in between as the tissue remained for a while.

FET in January was negative. Tried to do a natural cycle in Feb but didn’t ovulate… then we just took a break. Aaaand here we are 😭😭 about to start another medicated FET in June with our last embryo. I am absolutely bricking it and the pressure is really on 🥲🥲

I promise I’ll be more upbeat for the rest of this process but right now I’m feeling so anxious in the build up to it! I hope we all get our BFPs x

Hey all 👋

Such a rough rollercoaster we’ve all been on and like me, I bet you all can’t wait to get off it with a baby in your arms.

Hoping this is THE thread we get our happy ever after

Hi and welcome! No judgement at all on choosing to do IVF after a year, especially if you have numbers that mean it would take a while potentially to get pregnant naturally.

I'm due to start my third EC round at the end of May, collection should be somewhere around the week of 8th June then doing PGT-SR and PGT-A.

Hi everyone! Can I join? I’ll be starting Provera in a couple of weeks, so thinking my FET will be end of June some time. This will be my fourth transfer from 1st round, last embryo! First transfer failed, second one ended in MMC at 7 weeks and 3rd failed. Our last transfer was in September and since then we did some extra testing and a hysteroscopy but everything came back normal, it’s just taken forever because things are so slow with NHS.

I’ll be on extra meds this time so giving it a good go!

I told myself I wouldn’t join a thread this time but without it it’s just so lonely, no one else really understand do they.

Hoping for some luck for us all this time ☺️

We’re also on our last embryo but lucky enough to have a DS from our fresh transfer. I hope this is the lucky sticky one for you! Would you plan to do another EC if the worst happens? I am in two minds, so it feels like so much is riding on this one. I think my transfer will be towards the end of June too. I’m due to start AF first week of June.. I did my last FET in January not on MN but that was negative so obviously it didn’t help!

jenk91 · 14/05/2026 12:20

@mumtrovert ahh well let’s hope the last one is the lucky one for both of us!
Yes I will do another EC if this doesn’t stick, we are lucky to be in a trust that gives us 3 full cycles, so although im hoping this one will work, I’m trying not to put too much onto it if that makes sense, and kind of working toward next EC in my mind - but I know as soon as I’m in the tww I’ll be just as obsessed as ever 😂

mumtrovert · 15/05/2026 13:09

@jenk91Aw that’s great that you don’t have to worry about the financial side of it. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that for either of us. I’m trying acupuncture this time around for the first time, and will still do the usual beetroot/pomegranate juice and Brazil nuts.. just tick off every box I can!
My last embryo is a Day 6 so I’m hoping it defies all the odds. I know there’s lots of instances of Day 6’s being successful so here’s hoping 🤞🏼

PlanBFertility26 · Yesterday 10:54

@mumtrovert Good day 6s are just as good as day 5s 😊

Hello all, I’m going to join too if that’s okay. I’m 31 and we’re starting our first round of IVF in June. We are funding it privately after 15 months of TTC, and my husband has mild male factor (1-2% morphology). We have really mixed feelings about starting and I think our nurses consultation on 26 May will bring up some big feelings (but that’s probably to be expected).

CMGC · Yesterday 11:13

The worst part I found was the waiting before I started I was super anxious etc but once you get going wi th it then it just becomes something your doing on the side of work etc. and it becomes less of a mountain to climb. Emotional side is tough but physical is absolutely fine. Telling some trusted people can help in making u feel supported. I told a small number of friends who were very supportive

@mumtrovert Good day 6s are just as good as day 5s 😊

Thanks! I would think so too. Just scares me that every clinic always prioritises Day 5s, even poorer quality ones, over a Day 6! And yet our Day 6 is a 4AB. To be honest we were going to ask to use our D6 last cycle, instead of our Day 5 3BC. Then we decided to just trust the process. We thawed our 3BC which turned out to be hatching, so even better quality than before we froze it.. I cried my eyes out at the transfer thinking this was it, it was going to work.. but that cycle was our first negative result! So goes to show really quality doesn’t mean everything.

Welcome @roamingcat good luck for your first IVF cycle. We conceived on our first try and I know many more that have too. Take each day as it comes x
