IVF Feb 2026

Hi everyone - just thought I'd start a thread for anyone going through IVF in February.

We're not 100% confirmed yet (GP missed off a blood test so we're rushing to the clinic tomorrow to get it done, so frustrating!) but all being well we'll be starting stims at the start of Feb for our first cycle.

We've had a horrid TTC journey to this point and it's definitely hard to imagine it working, but we had to try. We're having PGT-SR as I have not one but 2 translocations (balanced and robertsonian) so at the very least IVF gives us the best chance of reducing our miscarriage risk.

Hope everyone else is doing well, would love to hear any tips from those who have been through it before and particularly those who have done PGT or had FET.

Hi! Can I join? Im not sure if my ivf cycle will start in feb or march it all depends on what my period does this month. Its been a bit out of whack since my MC in december.

Tentatively joining 👋 Final go for us so nerves are high!

Moosey898 · 24/01/2026 19:47

@PlanBFertility I'll have everything crossed for you. How many rounds have you done if you don't mind me asking?

OP posts:
PlanBFertility · 24/01/2026 19:58

@Moosey898
Cycle 1 - failed, no fertilisation
Cycle 2 - failed, no fertilisation
Cycle 3 - 4 fertilised, 3 made it (4AB, 4BB and 4A)

  • Did a fresh cycle with 4AB, first ever BFP but missed miscarriage at 10 weeks (baby stopped growing at 7)
  • Frozen cycle cancelled
  • Frozen cycle BFN

And here we are…!

Moosey898 · 24/01/2026 20:50

@PlanBFertility oh wow you've really been through it! I'm so sorry it's been such a rough road.

This will be our first cycle, I'm not concerned about the injections etc but I am concerned about not getting any embryos. But I know it's a relatively common outcome given my genetic issues so I'm bracing myself for it.

I have done 2 egg retrievals so this will be my 3rd coming up. I have had 3 transfers. 1 was an embryo from a cycle in 2021 and we transferred in November of 2024 but ended as a chemical then the last year we did 2 transfers from the second ivf cycle but one didnt work and 1 was our mc . We did have great success with 2021 cycle. Had a baby in 2022 and 2024 . We do have other older and adult kids . Just trying for one more but doesn't seem to be happening.

TTCbaby2xox · 25/01/2026 17:06

Please can I join too. I’m expecting my period in the next few days and then will be starting the meds.
I also have a DC who we happened to conceive after 2 years on the cycle before our first IVF referral appointment and I had every hope the same would happen again but likely because I had that hope, it hasn’t, and here we are.

It'll be my first IVF experience too. If we get our meds in time I think we will only be a couple of days apart in timings x

My period arrived this morning - three days early. I wonder if it’s the stress of it all?
However I only had screening bloods taken on Wed and they said they can take 7 days to come back. I’m praying they can do something today to expedite the results if not back yet and start stims tomorrow but I haven’t managed to speak to them yet 😭 I’ll be gutted if we can’t start this month now after all this build up

Oh no how frustrating!! I'll keep everything crossed for you that they can. Was that the virology ones? They tripped us up as well, either the GP or the phlebotomist missed one off my other half's request (even though they were identical and we had the request and blood tests done together!). We had to drive 90min each way to our clinic to get it done urgently!

Oh gosh, nooo! Also frustrating.

Yes it’s those ones. They said to book them 7 days before Day 1 is due to give time for them to come back, and typically, here is it today!
im trying to get hold of the clinic which is frustrating. But I believe I have up to date 3 to start, which would be the 7 day turnaround time mark, so I reallyyy hope they will be back by then and hope all results are ok.

I've really got absolutely everything crossed this can be sorted for you. It's so frustrating when the timings don't work out. I think I've accepted the not knowing and the waiting from the point I start meds, but when stuff goes wrong even before that it's really disheartening.

Hi all 👋
I'll be Feb too. Doing long protocol and had my down reg appt yesterday to get started (or get stopped if you will). Follow up in a couple of weeks to start stims if everything is going to plan.
Not sure what to expect with any of it...

Moosey898 · 27/01/2026 22:16

Welcome @HM2024 - hope you have luck with your cycle! Is it your first?

@TTCbaby2xox how are you getting on?

I phoned the medication suppliers today, they have my prescription and apparently will be processed tomorrow for next day delivery....they're cutting it fine!

OP posts:
Miraclemuma03 · 28/01/2026 01:26

I still have not gotten my jan period as yet so its looking as though I might not be starting stims in feb. See what happens. If i do start stims in feb it will be right at the end. But il follow along with the group just to see how everyone else is getting on. When do you all start? In early feb or closer to the end of feb? What is everyone protocols?

Moosey898 · 28/01/2026 10:38

Hey @Miraclemuma03 - I should be starting by the 1st, depending on when my period arrives but it's due in a couple of days. Just got my medication delivery confirmed for tomorrow which is a massive relief.

I've got follitropin alfa 375 iu every evening from day 2, then adding in ganirelix 0.25mg every morning from day 7, short protocol.

HM2024 · 28/01/2026 20:44

Thanks @Moosey898. Yes, first time doing this. We're very lucky to have DD who is 4. I'm nearly 40 so feels unlikely but I want to have tried everything.

@Miraclemuma03 I think I will be starting mid Feb.

UnderCaffeinated · 28/01/2026 22:46

May I join you?

we’re starting our first cycle this month, it’s a short protocol and I’ve been on the contraceptive pill since Jan 15, hopefully we will start our stims on Feb 11. We’ve tried for ten years with a miscarriage early on in our journey at around 9 weeks but as I have PCOS and irregular periods could never be certain of the dates. We haven’t conceived since but I’ve lost almost 6 stone for IVF. We were due to start in December but after a health hiccup for me we had to delay.

I'm feeling ok - just want to get on with it! There's so much waiting and so many unknowns, especially with doing PGT. I just want to see how I respond and what the outcome of the first round is. I'm going in with no expectations, but holding on to hope x

I’m doing a completely unmedicated cycle / natural cycle.

Transfer of embryos created two + years ago. Have an 18 month old from that cycle & three embryos.

Luteal surge this past Monday, transfer on coming Sunday.
