December 2025 FET

Is anyone going to have a FET in December?

I was expecting to have one in January but when I went to the clinic yesterday they are going to try and squeeze a natural FET cycle in before the Christmas break!

I am 36, had my first egg collection last month but wasn't suitable for a fresh transfer. If my cycle plays ball my transfer will be 15th-17th December.

Hopeful for a lovely Christmas present but also being realistic given age and first transfer etc.

@zirafica Yes I think that @Bees28 transferred same day as me and also has a scan today. There was someone else who popped in later but not sure we have heard from them since.

Yes! I just had my scan and there was a heart beat going strong, but measuring 4 days behind.
I’m going back in next week for another scan to check to make sure everything continues in the right direction.
@CoolSummer89 congratulations! I bet you are over the moon with excitement:)

Ah @CoolSummer89 so happy for your good news! It feels so good to graduate 🙌

@OneQuirkyPanda thanks for the info on the difference. I've got a birth centre at my local hospital which I was hoping to go for rather than the regular labour ward (which they also have), but it has a limited number of rooms so depends when you turn up I think.

After spotting/light bleeding on and off all week, we went for a scan at our EPU for reassurance and baby is fine. Measuring right for dates, 8.5 weeks. They could see an area of bleeding which they told me was the placenta forming and said to expect a bit more bleeding until this resolves. But weren't worried at all, said this is within the range of normal except often your body would absorb it instead of bleeding. So if I don't get any further symptoms I'm going to try and hold out now until my 13-week scan which is in mid-Feb. Lots of anxiety and I'm feeling quite knackered this evening.

whysohardtogetusername · 15/01/2026 19:46

@Bees28 hello and hope all goes well at your next scan!

CoolSummer89 · 16/01/2026 09:12

Just went back and looked at your old posts @Bees28 and you tested positive a bit later didn't you? I'm hoping this is just late implantation and your embryo is right on track for her own timeline. Have all my fingers and toes crossed that next week she has grown a little bit more and you can relax.

Was it a transvaginal ultrasound or an abdominal one? I had an abdominal one and was told the baby was 6.2mm and measuring a day behind, then had a transvaginal one less than 24hrs later to be told baby is 9mm and measuring two days ahead, they said when it’s this early it’s really hard to get accurate measurements, especially via an abdominal one and a lot of it depends on the person scanning. I was also told being 5 days behind or ahead is normal.

It was transvaginal.
I think what @CoolSummer89said about it seeming to implant a little later makes sense. That’s what I’m hoping the case is!
Keeping my fingers crossed!

How’s everyone getting on? My nausea has really ramped up the past few days, I have so many food aversions, I struggle to even eat toast a lot of the time. Only been sick two times so far, but finding it hard to find food I want to eat, I usually eat really healthy so also feeling guilty that my diet is mostly cereal, toast and ham or cheese sandwiches.

I’m definitely getting aversions to allot of foods lately & mild morning sickness when I wake.
I’ve found bland peanut butter crackers in the morning help.
Does anyone feel achey?

AlmostTime · 19/01/2026 15:17

I think I might be last one in our cohort before Christmas as my FET was on 19th December and my 7 week scan is in 2 days time.

I have experienced a bit of nausea, but fortunately no vomiting or food aversions, yet!
I have been craving salt though so trying to ration how many packets of crisps I can get hold of, but other than that I’ve felt ok so far.

whysohardtogetusername · 19/01/2026 18:08

@OneQuirkyPanda I have some food aversions (chicken breast and salmon which I used to eat all the time among them). My main issue is I get nauseous after about an hour if I don't eat. I've been trying to eat protein which does last a little longer, but yeah... it's like a weeks-long hangover situation.

I have been eating greek yoghurt the minute I wake up to line my stomach and before I go to sleep at night, which seems to work to cut down the nightime nausea and reduce it in the morning.

I used to eat healthy too, I'm eating way more crap like crumpets, endless cheese, ham, beef slices, bland bread. I'm just rolling with it! Don't feel guilty. I've also had the salt craving @AlmostTime mentioned on and off but someone told me that was to do with having more water going through the system and needing electrolytes so fine to eat a little more.

Oh and if I eat too much at one time I get indigestion 😂. So balancing the hunger/nausea/indigestion ratio is fun. Honestly just hanging in here till 12 weeks - both for the anxiety and also because everyone says symptoms die down around then.

zirafica · 19/01/2026 22:21

Omg girls sorry to see you’re sturggling! My nausea has massively calmed down, as long as I eat regularly it’s completely nonexistent. That being said, I am eating about 6 meals a day - oatmeal with soy milk and fruit and chia/flaxseed when I wake up, 3 eggs and avo toast for lunch (gotta get that choline in!!), either an apple or an orange as a snack, then chicken soup around 4 and dinner around 6 which is veg + protein. I’ve never had a sweet tooth but I absolutely cannot stand sugar at the moment (a sip of a vanilla milkshake made me gag), and have no interest in any junk (except mcd fries lol but obv not eating them). I’ve always been a super healthy eater but this baby is even more rigorous than me 😂😂 I am grateful though as I’m exhausted so not moving anywhere near enough, I’m glad at least my diet is as good as it can be!

Good news here today!

We saw the heartbeat and our little bean is measuring a day ahead as 7 weeks + 4

The sonographer said the measurements are so small at this stage it doesn't translate until the 12 weeks scan for dating, but it’s a positive sign!

I still cannot believe it !

Amazing news! So glad it went well ❤️ Have you been discharged from your clinic now?

They said I should receive the discharge paperwork tomorrow, then yes back to the NHS. I completed a self referral when I got a positive test a few weeks ago, so my midwife booking appointment is next week.

I did the same thing, I had my midwife appointment with the community midwife last week, but I have an appointment Monday at the hospital for my booking bloods.

How are you feeling? It still doesn’t feel real to me to be honest.

I feel the same. I think it will take a while to sink in before it feels real after the last few years!

zirafica · 22/01/2026 11:30

Omg congrats @AlmostTime ! Glad to hear everything’s fine! Not sure i understand your comment about measurements being too small before 12 weeks?

very smart move booking the midwife in. I didn’t want to jinx things so waited until I graduated the clinic to self refer (which was at 7w3d), only to receive a midwife appointment at 14 (!!!!) weeks. While it’s supposed to be weeks 8-10. I did call and kick up a fuss but was told it’s all admin anyway so no rush with it, but now I’m going to have my 12 week scan before I see the midwife the first time 😂

I’m 10 weeks today and can’t wait to get past that dreaded 12 week point despite all the data saying chances of a miscarriage now are under 1%. Have learned not to trust stats in this process.

CoolSummer89 · 28/01/2026 21:23

How is everyone doing?
I had my booking appointment today. As it’s an IVF pregnancy my hospital automatically classes me as high risk, which means I get consultant-led care and an extra scan.
This is great for the extra care and scan. But annoying because it means I have to go to the hospital for all my appointments instead of the community clinic across the road from my home. Although the midwife said that I could be downgraded if all my scans and bloodwork come back OK.

Symptoms wise I have been feeling great the past few days. My energy levels have returned, and my appetite has calmed down. It was absolutely raging for a couple of weeks! Still have a slight taste in my mouth every so often, so taking that as a sign that pregnancy is still progressing. Just trying to remain hopeful 🤞

would be lovely to hear from everyone else. How may weeks are people? I am 9 weeks tomorrow.

Hey, I’ve also been classed as high risk, but hoping I get downgraded as well.

I’m also 9 weeks tomorrow, I’ve noticed over the last 2-3 days my nausea has reduced quite a bit, it really peaked at the beginning of week 8 and was terrible on Monday, but hasn’t been so bad since Tuesday. I have all my other pregnancy symptoms still, but it’s making me quite anxious as I know a lot of them can be due to the progesterone I’m taking. Trying to hold off booking another private scan because I only had one last Saturday and everything was fine.

zirafica · 29/01/2026 09:43

11 weeks today, second day I feel back to normal, hoping this is the start of a glorious 2nd trimester cause I am DONE with the exhaustion, just getting ready to do my first workout in 3 months and so over the moon!!

Bees28 · 29/01/2026 17:49

@CoolSummer89 I had my 9 weeks scan today and heard the heart beat! Baby has caught up in measurement and everything thankfully looking good.
I’m still having just mild nausea, so hoping it stays like that and this is just an easier pregnancy!
I’d say my main symptom is the fatigue.

so glad your symptoms are starting to let up!

whysohardtogetusername · 30/01/2026 14:08

Hi @CoolSummer89 I had my booking appointment today. They did say I'd get a consultant appointment and an extra growth scan because of being IVF too, but they didn't say I was high risk and we talked about the birthing centre as an option which is only for low risk.

My symptoms, nausea and fatigue, are still pretty brutal. The nausea has come and gone a bit but can be really bad. And now I'm suffering insomnia on and off so I basically have to go to bed at 8pm to feel rested. I've had to take 1 and a half sick days this week to get through it. Much like you @zirafica I can't wait for the second trimester. I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow, but this week felt looong. Light at the end of the tunnel! Are you still feeling good today?

I've had more brown spotting on and off since they saw the early bleeding on the ultrasound, it comes and goes. With the spotting I'm also a bit anxious about exercise (the first time I got it was after a Pilates class), because although I know it doesn't increase risk and the early pregnancy unit said everything was fine to do, it's the anxiety all over again. I usually do PT weight training and Pilates, but I've dropped that to just walking this week, partly because of the nausea too. Hoping I can pick them back up soon.

zirafica · 30/01/2026 14:14

@whysohardtogetusername yes still feeling good, second day in a row i managed to do my workout and i feel like i different person! i do pilates too, my instructor was just pregnant last year so she created loads of prenatal safe classes so sticking to those, although she also says in 1st trimester you can do everything as if you're not preggo. tell that to the nausea and tiredness!

whysohardtogetusername · 30/01/2026 14:20

I'm so glad for you, you are what I want next week! Ha yes to the pilates instructor, sure I can technically do the class but that's not the problem 😂. Even my dog has resigned herself to the fact she's getting less energetic walks now!
