Hi! I’m starting the process of a FET in September, transferring a 4AB early October. Trying for baby number two. Anyone else? Would be great to have people to talk to amongst the symptom spotting, line eyes and general freak outs ☺️

@cakeislife1234 Sorry to hear this. Especially as you've had chemicals before so understandable that you're interpreting the tests as the same. You're a day behind me I think, I've not had much progression either of my Sainsburys cheap ones, did a couple of clear view that came up quickly but not particularly strong line on any of them. It is still early though so still a good chance. Thinking of you next few days. Xx

My meds are finally sorted. Yay! What a saga though. I just felt really nauseous driving, got in and was sick. Bit early for morning sickness so wondering if I've now picked up a bug. That said, with my boy, i always got afternoon sickness not morning. What fun!

Oh, thank goodness! What a relief.

I am feeling sick on and off, but I'm on steroids which will do that. It could be morning sickness? My ex-P was sick from this early on, though I never have been.

Hi guys. Feeling quite upset today. Doesn't help that my husband is on nights so can't lean on him. So I had my baseline scan today for our first ever transfer cycle.( I only just had a hysteroscopy 2 weeks ago as they thought they saw a polyp but there was nothing there when they looked. Today I've been told they can see a haemorrhagic cyst on one of my ovaries and that we might need to cancel the cycle. Egg collection was 2 months ago. I've never had a cyst before. Why now?! 😭. Apparently egg collection can cause them but why didn't they check this when they were checking for a polyp a month ago. I am so upset. There's just hurdle after hurdle. I've had a blood test and going for another scan in 2 days. Has anyone had a haemorrhagic cyst before transfer? What happened? Mines about 8.9mm. I was thinking maybe it's just not fully healed my left ovary from EC. Apparently they're only a concern for ET if they produce hormones? Thanks

SarahAndQuack · 15/10/2025 22:44

Oh, you poor love. I'm sorry, I've no knowledge, but I didn't want you to go unanswered while you're worrying. I guess at least the good thing is they found it before transfer. But no wonder you feel so gutted.

I had a cyst on my lining scan, after I got blood results it turned out I hadn’t ovulated and was able to go ahead with transfer, so don’t rule yourself out yet. Got my fingers crossed for you xxx

Hey thanks for responding. I didn't know that was even possible tbh. I was ovulation testing and got a positive opk though so I think I have ovulated. Also this cyst has blood in it 😔. Anxiously waiting for the blood test results! They said if it's not producing hormones it might be ok but as it's blood filled and I am meant to be on blood thinners not sure how that will work tbh xx

Thanks for your kind words. It's horrible to say but honestly lately at times I regret putting myself through egg collection. It just doesn't end. One thing after another. And now what appears to be another possible complication of the ivf cycle 😔

Sara237 · 16/10/2025 04:45

@Needamiracle12 So sorry to hear this. I had one which was identified on the day 10 of a FET cycle alongside a large polyp which led to that cycle being cancelled. By the following month it had resolved. It was the corpus luteum from the previous cycle which was still resolving itself along with new follicles growing in the next cycle. I didn't do a baseline which would have shown this before I'd taken 10 days of drugs but that's another story. IVF is all jumping through hoops and edging ever closer to your goal. You might have to wait for a month or so and rescan but hopefully it will resolve itself. I know it feels like you're in endless limbo and it's so stressful. I used the wait to mentally give myself a break from it all as it was summer. Everything crossed for you.

Limmers14 · 16/10/2025 08:58

@Needamiracle12 sorry to hear this but it’s not a dealbreaker, you might still be able to do transfer. When do you get the blood test results?

Sara237 · 16/10/2025 10:32

I've just got my beta results and on day 9 was 178. Shocked is an understatement, I've had an upset stomach all morning and was sick 5 times last night. I'm actually hoping this is a bug because I can't work like this! I know we're supposed to be intensely grateful for everything after the endless struggles and heart break but most of this has completely sucked so far, so yes I'm complaining 😂 Incidentally i had very faint pink lines on tests without much progression so has made me realise beta is key. When I was with Bourn hall in UK, I just had a wee test. And that worked out nicely. With my last frozen blastocyst 4 years ago I got a false positive and was devastated. So I'm still in a state of utter shock and sense that it's all completely surreal.

SarahAndQuack · 16/10/2025 10:36

Complain away! I hope you feel less sick soon. I'm so glad you got the beta and it has made you feel so reassured. (Damn, I want one!).

I have to wait in for my meds today, but as soon as they arrive I'm going to go buy yet another test - I keep worrying it'll be fainter. It's not enjoyable, this, is it?

SarahAndQuack · 16/10/2025 10:37

Ooh! And, absolutely don't feel you have to reply - but @Sara237, were you at Bourn for your 8-year-old by any chance? My 8 year old DD is a Bourn baby. I wonder if we crossed over!

Sara237 · 16/10/2025 11:01

@SarahAndQuack I was! We may well have sat in that waiting room at the same time! Re the beta test, I just called docs and asked for it. You can get a home one for 20 pounds online. I hear you re the lines. My anxiety is now, will it keep doubling?!
@Miraclemuma03 Thanks. What's it like in Australia today? I like to think of you over there with your horses and your brood! Your clinic sounds fab. Please remind me of your timeline again, I've lost track of everything.

SarahAndQuack · 16/10/2025 11:03

How funny! Yes, I expect we did. That's a rather nice thought.

Thanks for the heads up about the beta. Will order.

Needamiracle12 · 16/10/2025 16:02

Hey guys so after ydays meltdown I got a call from the clinic. I hate this whole journey right now. My blood test results came back normal @Limmers14so providing my day 3 scan tomorrow shows my lining is thin enough (it was thick on day 1) they're happy for me to continue. Pheww. But I must admit I am still concerned about this cyst having blood in it and starting a potential pregnancy if it works. Depending on tomorrows scan we plan on speaking with our consultant as I'll be on blood thinners as well-not sure that's sensible with a blood filled cyst. @Sara237Did your cyst from your cancelled cycle have blood in it too? Did they give you reasons why it'd be an issue in a fet? Congrats on your bfp. I hope you feel better soon xx

SarahAndQuack · 16/10/2025 16:37

Oh, goodness, what a rollercoaster @Needamiracle12! Hope it is easier from now on.

@Miraclemuma03, I'm sorry, I think I missed your reply about how your timings are working with your clinic. That sounds really stressful! It seems strange they can't work with even a skeleton staff on weekends - surely 2 days out of 7 being out of bounds for treatment must have quite a big impact?

Sara237 · 16/10/2025 16:41

@Needamiracle12 Yes it did, a hamaerogic cyst. But the cycle was cancelled more because of the polyp. They are very common and nearly 90% of them self resolve so I doubt they're too concerned. I understand the worry, I googled and read all kinds of scary stuff but they would not go ahead if it was a risk. We only know we have these things due to all these scans; I expect most women have them at one time or another. Good luck and not that I ever do this, but restrict your googling!

Im currently sitting in the clinic waiting room waiting for my scan. Here in australia right now is 8am and my scan is at 8.30am . I guess im about to find out how my clinic will work around not operating on weekends. Ahhh the stress is real.. woosaahh!!! No stressing until there is something to stress about. Haha

You make a really good point surely they know what they're doing. I hope! 🤣. The nurse actually said the same about us having these things naturally too but as we don't scan don't know. But coincidentally mine appeared after my first ever EC. But anyway. About the doom scrolling yes I'll definitely hold my hand up to that lol. I haven't googled anything else about it this evening. Will see what tomorrow's scan brings and will check with our consultant re blood thinners for reassurance and take it from there. Thx so much.

Good luck with your scan! Hopefully timings all work out. Side note are the spiders really that big? 🤣. I am arachnophobia but always wanted to visit x

Hahahahh yes we have wolf spiders and huntsman the size of large dinner plates where we live . They are harmless, you scream when you spot them out of your eye and once the initial fright calms down, you sweep them up and put them out in the garden.

So clinic want me back on monday and I asked about the weekend thing and I completely forgot about their sistering clinic in the middle of brisbane that sees their patients on the weekends. Im waiting on a call for my labs and find out if I have to go there tomorrow, if not back to normal clinic on monday

Sara237 · 17/10/2025 06:10

@Miraclemuma03 That's good that there is a weekend option, stressful enough without worrying about missing key points as they're shut! Hope scan goes well.

SarahAndQuack · 17/10/2025 08:06

Glad to hear there's a weekend option! Hope it all goes well on Monday!
