Thought I would start a thread as can't see one already
Anyone in the same boat who'd like to chat?
It's our first round. Likely to need a freeze all which I'm quite disappointed about as means won't even transfer until Nov.
I'm on short protocol.
Feeling pretty fed up ATM tbh, partly because it's come to this but also just want to get going, currently just waiting for my period early sept and feels like my life is on hold until then!

@Happyclappy22 how are you getting on?

Could cry 4 extended blasts so 6AA, 4 blasts 5AA, 3 early blasts 4AA 11 in total holy fricking hairball !!!

Just now a financial nightmare decision as my clinic charges per embryo that's frozen 😭

@YourTipsyDog sadly my period came a day before I could even test (on Tuesday) it started off as what seemed to be spotting and ended up into a full blown period. It came back in full force aswell, incredibly painful and extremely heavy. I’m still getting over the pain today. I am out and I don’t think I’ll be doing IVF again. I was already very apprehensive about it all and have realised it’s just not for me. Right now I’m focusing on healing my body from all the hormones that have been pumped into it and managing my endo. How’s it going for you ?

@Happyclappy22 so sorry, did they say how you managed to bleed whilst of the post transfer meds as my clinic says you can't bleed on the meds

Transfer done, was quite painful as I really needed to pee due to there being a delay in me going down, now the dreaded 1 hour min laid on the bed whilst also needing to pee 🤣🤣

@camelinastorm no, I’m with the NHS I tried to call and got through to no one. I even sent an e-mail 2 days ago no response 😶I’ve never heard about that before l. I was using progesterone pessaries only

@Happyclappy22 oh no idea then as didn't know you could only have just progesterone pesseries, I'm on estrogen tablets progesterone pesseries and progesterone injections,
It's shocking you have emailed and called and have had no response hopefully they get back to you soon

@Happyclappy22 I’m so sorry to hear that, it’s such a brutal process. Not having communication from your clinic doesn’t help either. I am still waiting to test; I don’t feel like it has worked because I’ve got no symptoms and I’ve had a bit of brown blood when I wipe for four days now. I will test tomorrow. Take care of yourself, so sorry for this horrible time for you x

Glad your transfer has gone well @camelinastorm and incredible news on your 11 blasts!!! I would be over the moon with that many.

I had my egg collection this morning and was in and out in no time. They collected 23 eggs which is obviously amazing, but after the 49 follicle count on Tuesday I wasn’t really sure whether to expect more. Still absolutely thrilled with that though :) unfortunately I am in a LOT of pain post procedure with severe bloating. I really wasn’t expecting to be so uncomfortable but I’m in bed with a hot water bottle, electrolytes & some paracetamol hoping it will pass. I’ve been put on more injections & meds for the next week to hopefully help me avoid OHSS. We have a follow up appt in 6 weeks to discuss our frozen transfer so fingers crossed that will be some time in Nov/Dec! 🤞🏼 xx

@AnonTTC fantastic news on the eggs collected 🤞🏼 for great day 5 results, yes I was over the moon just really shocked as the most I've ever had was 4 previous was 3 and first was 2, we had kind of decided this was our like last go as we thought we would have just a few but actually got a lot, so I have a 6AA a 5AA and a 4AA on board the rest have been frozen

@Happyclappy22 My period has just started too. I thought it was quite unusual for that to happen whilst taking progesterone. It doesn’t feel quite as bad as last time but still… :(

@boberto88 I am having it in Cyprus as I started it when I lived here so easier to go with what I know, this round I was taking much higher doses of coQ10 alongside many other single vitamins (it was a chore but hopefully assisted) and hubby was taking loads of single vitamins also we can have 3 transfered each time

@pastelheart yes my clinic just gave me some so I had no need to stress 🤣

Thanks @pastelheart. Got the call and 10 of the 14 fertilised (and another one partially fertilised so they won't discard it just yet). More than I could have hoped for with the sperm issues and my age (42)... On to worrying about Saturday's (and then Monday's) call now😂. Hope everything's ok with you.

well… I have had an eventful day. I am 8dpt today FYI

it started at 3am when I was woken up by the most horrendous pain at the top of my stomach under my ribs, it lasted for about 2 hours and paracetamol didn’t touch it. But it did ease slowly and I managed to get a bit more sleep.

all day today I have been uncomfortable and bloated and just feeling crap but no more really bad pain. I then went to Tesco this afternoon and I was crying trying to push the trolley around so I gave up and called my clinic in the car and they asked me to come in for an urgent scan

so the bad news is a have borderline severe OHSS…

but the good news is… it’s been caused now because im
pregnant 🥹

in the scan even I could see all the free fluid all over my abdomen and up near my ribs (that’s what caused the pain) I was crying so much (progesterone honestly) but the doctor spoke to me after and said it’s most likely been caused now because I’m pregnant so need to do a test, so I did a test with all the nurses in the clinic toilet lol (my partner wasn’t with me, only time he hasn’t come but I needed to get there quick)

I can’t believe it, I’m still in shock and keep crying xx

@camelinastorm@NSC1982 thank you both 🩷 I feel okay atm and I don’t even care that I have OHSS anymore lol

they have put me on blood thinning injections and made me promise if it gets worse I go straight to the hospital. I am worried about trying to sleep tonight as I think lying down makes it worse but oh well! Have a blood test in more, not a beta, just to check other levels

I got home and my partner was here with the plumber so I had to go and hide until the plumber went and then I told him and he couldn’t believe it, he was speechless xx

@camelinastorm yeah they aren’t very fun, I swear the needle is really dull too I couldn’t do it so had to get my partner too! X
